i've noticed that i always enjoy albums immediately that are supposedly album that have to grow on your. i think this means that i have a high musical iq. makes sense because i grew up playing the clarinet and i always got really good grades in school.

Sup, /mu/

I've really been getting into Dylan lately. So far The Times They Are A Changin, Highway 61, Bringing It All Back Home and Blood On The Tracks really appeal to me. However, for whatever reason, despite the praise this album gets on /mu/ and elsewhere, I cannot for the life of me find pic related interesting at all. It's like every song sounds basically the same and a lot of them get boring halfway through. Can someone maybe try and tell me what I'm missing with it?

I don't see how anyone can say Rainy Day Women, Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands and Swedish Redwoods and Just Like A Woman sound the same.

I'll say that at quite a few points here Dylan steps over the line between poetry and gibberish though.

Scream turned me off because of those screams and California because of the super sugary chorus. But I learned how to love those songs. AA is a pop masterpiece.
>>
It's the fans - Nobody who shits on this album actually doesn't like the album, it's blatantly contrarian not to admit that it's good, or better than visions.

The obsessiveness and rudeness from fans of the album.

It, the band's members, the band's audience, and even the athestetic of imagery and sound are incredibly annoying to me.

I do not know why, I cannot explain it, but everything about this album is just annoying.

Maybe it could be a whiney attitude in everyone/everything involved or enjoying it. Maybe it's the poor attempt at doing multiple genre's that don't sound consistent and that just sound like bland versions of the original genre sound. Maybe it's just that I hate the fans.

Fucking awful.
>>
>>73683033
I've only ever heard Stressed Out, an overplayed single that doesn't seem too interesting, and Ride which seems a bit better but not that much better.
The genre of music doesn't appeal to me very much, pretty removed from what I usually listen to.
>>73683165
I can agree a bit on the fans, it seems to be "underground" while being a chart topper.

Sometimes even the lowest of the low in terms of judgement can agree with people with good taste.
