the Telharmonium wasn't just the first real synthesizer, it was also the "Spotify" of the time ...

Track 3 "Right Time," on this shitwave album is clearly ripping off a couple popular 80's tracks - but I just can't seem to place them. (The original tracks)
Please have a listen to the first 15 seconds of this track and see if you don't recognize the original.
This shit is driving me crazy.

Did the universal backlash to this album really drive him to suicide?
Plenty of artists put out shit albums and then just move on.
what is it with their album covers and assholes on beaches

I think it was a combination of both of those things+ he was depressed before all this hence
the cryptic song titles from this last album.
How does /mu/ feel about ELO? Jeff Lynne, to me at least, seems to have a mind that resembles late-1960's Paul McCartney's, but I don't think it's much of a bad thing.
ELO and Jeff are great.

The pop songs are some of the most catchy I think I've ever heard, and Eldorado is a pretty great album.
Could you point me to more electronic music that makes you feel sad and empty inside like these?:

Hi /mu/, don't browse here much but I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions regarding bands that are similar in style to High-Functioning Flesh. Only two I can think of are Drab Majesty and Cold Showers
So I caved in and admitted to myself that I like the fucking vaporwave meme music and thankfully that's branched into the music that gets used for most of it. i.e. Japanese funk and pre J-Pop stuff. Where should I go if I want to find more music like this, whether it be torrent or actually buying the CDs? Pic related, really like her stuff.
>strokes fans believe this
I fucking LOVE the Strokes to the point where I'd say they were one of my favorite bands of all time, but I never did get their association with indie rock considering all of their releases were through major record labels.
>>73850025
I'm guessing because it was released by Rough Trade, but by that time it was just a part of a major label anyways.
I agree with the last thing dogmotif said
The White Stripes are way more derivative, and not as interesting. The Strokes had the dual guitar thing similar to Television, but their early sound was more Ramones-esque, and Julian Casablancas' talk-singing was based on folk singer/songwriters of the 60s and 70s. People act like nobody touched a guitar from the time Kurt Cobain died to when the first White Stripes album came out.
