I think it was a combination of both of those things+ he was depressed before all this hence
the cryptic song titles from this last album.

No one kills themselves because their album gets bad reviews.

It's clear the guy was pretty fucked up mentally. Likely just a combination of a bunch of things piling up on him since he was a kid and his back finally giving out. Suicide is very rarely an overnight kind of thing, he'd probably been thinking about it for years.

Why is always the singer than kills himself?
Is there an inherent self-absorption that goes along with the desire to be a front-man that makes suicide seem like a good idea?

Singer is most likely to be the one that is afflicted by depression, hence release of emotions through lyrics and singing.

I stopped listening after the transformers single. They're legacy is tainted and Xhesters suicide did nothing to bring them back to revalancy. Honestly I'd stop circlejerking and go back to listen to Kendrick Lamar.
