holy shit a correct opinion
i think that's the first time that's happened on /mu/
Will they put out a new album this year? Seems like there's huge pent up demand.
What can they do to redeem themselves? Do they need to actually lower the production quality?
>>73942383
>Seems like there's huge pent up demand
i hope you're joking, cause no person on earth should be clamoring for a new strokes album

Agreed, featuring Little Richard as John the Baptist and Bryan Ferry as Judas.

Do I have any hope at all of becoming a half decent singer? I suck at guitar too but I'm only two weeks in. I reckon in a year that will improve on its own...but voice is different.

Hey /mu/
do you consider Indian Ragas classical? If you saw them in a chart with the likes of Beethoven, Shostakovich, Gershwin etc would you find it strange?
They are classical but they are different than western classical music. I don't know if it would be appropriate to rank them among western classical composers because to my knowledge ragas are often improvised, similar to jazz, but I don't think that discredits them from being classical, because relative to the cultures that birthed them they are still classical. They also had a big influence on western composers (like Terry Riley and La Monte Young, for example).
But some people may understand it better than me.

>tfw i'll never be 16-17 in 2010 with chillwave, witch house and dream pop revival in their prime
*world's smallest violin*
>tfw you were 18 back then but a dadrock pleb
all of those genres were internet things. being young and full of energy didnt do me any good in finding a sense of community through those genres at that age. there's literally no difference between being 16-17 then and downloading all that shit from blogs and a 16-17 year old now doing the same thing
