This banshee of a woman fucking sucks, all the aspirin in the world couldn't help me after listening to this horse shit.
>>74420008
I've listened to it three times and I don't get what the fucking hype is about.
I think the fact that it's pretty hard to find and expensive makes it better album
T. Joanna fanboy subconsciousness
No but it is a pretty good album, don't know about the best of all time, this is the first time over heard that in the same breath as this album
Its not mediocre either. This is good. His lyrics, singing and production are all on point. It all works. Its not a complex concept album. Its really sappy and I can see how someone can fucking hate that but you can't deny that this guy is talented.
Convince me otherwise if I am wrong, please.

If they're shown as one album in your library then yeah. Unless it's all physical, in which case still yeah
Here it is. I wanted to see how /mu/ feels about it. It's inspired a lot by lo-fi rock, hip hop, ambient music, and shoegaze. Thanks.

So far it's ok. The whole aesthetic thing is kinda stupid and outplayed, but the actual music is fairly good.
Are you writing from the heart, /mu/?
>>74419831
yeah

What's your favourite decade and favourite artists from then?
>>74419826
60s -70s. Funk and Psychedelic Rock is probably the best music out there.
Once upon a time /mu/ was a small board with a close knit group of music fans up for a laugh, decent discussion and exploration together. As time passed, traffic increased, more people with different tastes arrived and arguments ensued to the point discussion was no longer worth attempting and the board became nothing more than a blog for the latest hype trends.
Someone, somewhere started a board called Musikchan. It didn't really take off because people didn't want to leave /mu/ for odd reasons and that no one posted there, not realising if they posted, so would others.
The board still exists, threads last months and months. Theres no waifutards, no memerap, no shills, kids, Fantano drones and no captcha.
A few of us want to get it back to life with real music fans who value quality over quantity. Threads that last weeks and you can have mature conversations. A place for classical, jazz, experimental, trad folk and no FotM shit, come join us make a good discussion board

60s for me, and my favorite three artists are McCoy Tyner, Charles Mingus, and John Coltrane. Used to not like Art Blakey but I think he's growing on me.
Listening to a lot of Duke Ellington too, also Dexter Gordon's "Go" is great in my opinion.
I've also realized that there is a lot of good 2010 stuff (not BBNG or Kamasi Washington) that I want to check out.
ITT we post physical forms of music we own and judge each other's, I'll go first what does this say about me /mu/

You know if you stupid millennials didn't spend all your money on fancy $50 records from urban outfitters you could afford a house, car, and family right now like I did at your age!

What does /mu/ think about Brandon Flowers?
>>74419776

Can someone help me figure out what this album is? I lost it a long time ago, and occasionally pops in my head. All I remember is it was electronic, the first track had a wolf howling at the start and the cover was a drawing (I think?) of a winter scene. There may or may not have been a wolf on the cover. Also, someone once described the production as "like listening to music with a pillow over your head"
>>74419711
Maybe Low Roar - Low Roar? Not a wolf, but still very subdued electronic music.
>>74419724
no, what I'm talking about definitely had a wolf at the start. It was a very generic sounding howl, probably synthetic. And the album came out before 2011. I remember listening to it when Thom Yorke's The Eraser came out, which was in 2006
This would have been a 10/10 EP.

the dram special and busted blue have leaked from japan a few months ago (they were alright) and we've heard the alt version of carnival, phoenix on the hill, and garage palace live
