>how do i start becoming a patrician
I would love to tell you my formula but I think it's better if you develop your own ;)
>>74650281
honestly you aren't in a very bad starting place at all, it could be much worse
check out this chart. as much as people here will tell you to not follow it so that you don't end up with merely on-par or average taste, it is a good STARTING POINT, there are plenty of fantastic albums, it opens you up to different forms of music, and it prepares you to delve deeper into a genre/genres you like
you might be more partial to the "metal" section of the chart at first, all the way at the bottom. If you read the sticky there are a few other charts there as well as some more general information
>>74650281
you might like Throbbing Gristle, NIN, GY!BE, Swans
Redpill me on this album and Bon Iver in general.
They're great

*blocks your path*
are you white? have you had one gf in your entire life? Was it in highschool and you STILL jerk off to it? Well this is the music for you!

>abused cocaine for years
>abused alcohol for years
>still made it to the ripe age of 69
>released an album 3 days before his death
>its one of his best
Is he the most successful musicians ever?
>>74650255
don't forget inspiring TR to get clean. among other things.
everyone needs a friend like him.
Not the most successful quality or popularity wise to be honest, but he surely will be among the 100 or so most important people in music history for the next hundred years.
>>74650283
TR?
the last of my friends has died in gang related violence and I'm feeling like I'm pushed to my limit just driving around melancholic. Is there any song that's good for this situation? no nigger music please
What are you usually into? Sorry for your loss.
>>74650288
>sorry for your loss
I usally listen to music in FLAC!!! :)
>>74650288
it was a joke you retard i listen to bjork it has nothing to do with this
Friendly reminder that pic related had the talent and wit to be the next Beatles, and were the band closer to reach that status. They only failed in doing so because they did not have the maturity to evolve from their Rubber Soul (self titled) to their Revolver, and, most importantly, they did not have a Brian Epstein tier manager to deal with their egos
wrong pic.
>>74650449
Nope
blink-182 made fart joke music
then they made tryhard edgy music
both were bad.
Nothing even comes close to this.
>mediocre B side, apart from Tommorow Never Knows
>plebs still think it's their best album
Come on man, it's good but don't deify albums or artists. "Nothing comes close to this" I mean, do you think a black metal or jazz album is trying to come close to it? No, they're different things.
Good album though, but I still think in terms of raw enjoyment, The Beatles goes like this:
Abbey Road > White Album = Magical Mystery Tour > A Hard Day's Night > Sgt. Peppers = Rubber Soul > Revolver > Let It Be > Everything else.
>>74650367
You're a numale, but you put Revolver in a legit place, so you still have hope
>music today is mostly negro meme shit or numale indie pop
>don't even care since I'm having too much fun listening to classics and underground shit from the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's from various genres like Rock, Metal, Ambient, Electronic. Punk
>all that Jazz music that I still have to listen to after just scratching the surface
>have not even started listening to classical seriously
anyone else know this feel? having access to internet is the greatest thing ever that could happen to a music fun
>tfw there will always be worlds of sounds waiting for you to explore them
>tfw you will never run out of music to listen to
>tfw they are all available within a few clicks away
I'm feeling so #Bless right now. Thank you music!

are you literally me? I have the exact same thoughts and I'm sick of people telling me how music today is "just as good if not better" than it was previously. Call me a nazi or alt-right or whatever but I really am sick of critics and media promoting black people as some amazing musicians when 90% of it is done just for social justice reasons. I'm European and I can't relate to any of them and there's basically no music in hip hop, just repetitive beats. Anyway, that's my rant for today
more like cosmic surgery cause they need it badly
eunseo is better looking than anyone below this post

I don't know if it's allowed to support your own music on here. But if anyone is interested in lofi music, I made this track:

And I would like to have some feedback, especially from people who produce themselves.
Dude I love Lo-fi beats for gaming/relaxing/study radio

>>74649975
>implying anything here is worth saving
Probably American Idiot, I don't love it now but it was an important part of the beginning of me getting into music. Everything else I hated even back then.
Where's Dude Ranch?
Bowie or Dylan?
Both
