Last.fm profiles of good taste makers. I really like herkyjerky's, haven't bothered to check out others but it's a good method anyways.

Avoid Pitchfork and Fantano like the plague.

Scaruffi's +7s are pretty good, especially if you go after the lesser known stuff.

Record labels. There are so many of them are so many of those are so great. Folkways for regional/ethnic music, Finders Keepers for popular music with regional/ethnic influences, Strictly Rhythm for "EDM", Tzadik for "Experimental", etc.

The important thing is not not letting your opinions get influenced by others, that's impossible to avoid, but to have as many diverse influences as possible.

what's wrong with listening to somewhat popular music? it's not like music that /mu/ and reddit likes are some top 40 mainstream hits, priding yourself on having a super unique taste is dumb honestly. If you really want to find new music, then listen to local bands/artists and if they're good, shill them here

if your car was not manufactured in germany, it's not a real car. It's a toy intended for children to learn how to drive.
