>Kamen Rider Ghost Episode 14 Preview
Eitoku back in a suit means Necrom will flail.
First for is it gay to have spanked it to Akari?
>was there an ancient warlord Tachibana that half of Japan's population descended from?
You could say that, yeah.
Yuki is cute.
Akari is cute by herself but when another cute girl is in the frame such as Kanon or Takeru, she gets overshadowed.
Also have this Takeru being Napoleon.
Nah, Ghost's last episode was pretty great and I'm looking forward to the conclusion of the two-parter tonight.
I just wish Takeru wasn't such a fucking spaz and go charging off whenever the Sage changes the subject.
>"Hey you're not being honest with me about my dad or the eyecons!"
>"LOOK OVER THERE, IT'S ANOTHER HEROIC EYECON"
>"OH BOY LET'S GET IT"
What do you want to see out of Ghost's summer movie /krg/?
>Nah, Ghost's last episode was pretty great
Oh, maybe I should reconsider picking up the show if--
>Makoto going out of his way to help Takeru instead of it being a matter of circumstance for the second time
>A callback to the first episode with having a form-change that basically debuted the overarching form's weapon against the Sasaki Kojiro Ganma
>An actual fucking night-time fight
If what >>13756759 listed makes you think Ghost could be good now go watch it. Frankly those are just superficial reasons and I feel the show is still as flawed as it was before. Hasnt gotten worse, but it's not very good either.
Why are you even here? Did you get into Rider because you thought it was the hip new thing or some shit?
What is with the retarded newfags lately? What board are they crawling in from?
>Did you get into Rider because you thought it was the hip new thing or some shit?
I can't imagine who would possibly think that.
Haha no. And /m/ is the main board I go on
Did you get some fresh new ways to bait /krg/ off of ED or some shit?
What next, you gonna call Faiz furbait or something?
Let's just say that Bandai is willing to create a Rider game with YOUR direct input; you have total creative freedom to do what you want. The only catch is that the game need to be a
horror game. How do you do it?
Play a lesser Rider during Decade's first genocidal rampage.
You need to keep up your duty fighting monsters, which is incredibly difficult due to being weak, and Violent Emotion Decade may occasionally come out of nowhere. if you try to fight him, he has immediate counters to anything you do and you have to run away while he chases you down, possibly with his Final Attack Ride.
It's got the "Rider Kick" article which has really outdated and inaccurate ways to "troll" Kamen Rider fans.
For an example of how outdated it can be: one way to bait Kame nRider fans is to call Faiz shitty furbait.
Lock Keita Amemiya in a room and get him to do the designs. Monsters are incredibly threatening, usually causing a massacre before they are defeated. Big Bad is lovecraftian level eldritch horror that can never be permanently defeated, only temporarily destroyed. Rider is based off of cockroaches, and is the only person that can go near the monsters without completely losing their mind, although they do start hallucinating as time goes on
Hi~! Just thought I'd show up. I hope you guys haven't been watching Wizard 2.0, watch Drive instead!
>Lock Keita Amemiya in a room and get him to do the designs. Monsters are incredibly threatening
Amemiya was asked to design a new Rider, something close to the origin of Rider 1.
<sketch> <sketch> <sketch for fun>
Producer approved it. Ishimori was shocked but found it a new challenge to tell his story.
Toei went with it.
If it was anything like some of his drawings with Garo it's no surprise.
OK, so Bandai was really happy with your ideas for a horror game and they want your input again, but this time in a fightan game. You play the demo and it is amazing, just the way you always wanted. But then there's (again) a catch: they wanted to make every Heisei Rider playable, but due to time restraints, they need to skip one show altogether. That means: no primary Rider, no secondary, no music, no stages, nothing that belongs to that show. Which series do you choose to get completely ignored and why?
Darling, NepAnon has been more than one person for a long time.
Blade/Kenzaki: Tallest one, brownest hair, wears a blue jacket
Garren/Tachibana: Second tallest, second longest and blackest hair, wears a black/green
Chalice/Hajime: Second shortest one, longest hair, wears a khaki longcoat typically
Leangle/Mutsuki: Scrawniest, shortest, shortest hair
Will Ghost get a double rider kick as cool as this?
The first Rider thing I ever watched was Heisei vs Showa, I saw the thread go up when it was subbed and was pretty bored so I watched itGot into Rider through W and Agito from there.
Looks like we got a couple newfags here. First year stories we're one post stories where everyone pretended to be an original rider, and shared their bullshit first year experience. I can't quite remember, but I think it started with
>Fight bad guy for an entire year
>Beat him, and time gets reset
>No more powers, and I'm the only one who remembers what happened
>None of it mattered
It was something along those lines. After that post everyone in the thread got really into it. It was a ton of fun, despite being roleplaying bullshit. A good laugh was had.
>pretended to be an original rider
>Become a Nanomechanical Kuuga rip off
>"Growing Form" is just a shiny me
>Manage to get my first form
>I look like a damn police officer
>I already see where this is fucking going
>They're alright forms, enough to take down the many mutated animals and humans that are swarming my town
>Secondary comes in, and he's the biggest fucking douche
>Kicks my ass up and down the streets everyday with forms based on the branches of the US Military
>Eventually find out the big bad is a part of some Illuminati bullshit, testing out nanomachines
>Get a doctor and construction worker form
>One's weak, one's strong, moving on
>Convince Military guy I'm on his side, and we take down the organization
>Now we're public enemies #1 and #2
>"RRRRICK O' RRRREAT! HAPPY HARROWEEN"
Almost dropped the show on the spot tbf then Sato appeared 2 minutes later and all was forgiven.
the chick that plays Hina is terrible
>No Jack of All Trades form
God damn it, Anon.
>Apparently the old Chinese Lingbingballawallaflimflamgoopshoopdawoopqingtingchingchongnipnongkusakadidnothingwrongtingtangwallwallabingbang Clan (Yeah that's their actual name, we have to shorten their names to "The Clan" because otherwise the monster will have already run off if we try saying that with Japanese accents) had some magical belt that for some reason looks like it was made by a bunch of 40-something men in the 2010s
>Use it to transform, makes me look like Guan Yu's ugly dragon baby
>But hey, it lets me fight monsters so I go with it
>Secondary comes out of nowhere, the motherfucker's got a belt that makes him look like Genghis Khan holy shit he's cool
>Unfortunately he hates me and beats me up all the time
>Get a new form, seems to be inspired by Lu Bu. I wouldn't know, every time I transform I hear my belt scream "DO NOT PURSUE ME!" and I black out with rage and then snap out of it like five minutes later with a bunch of explosions and fire everywhere
>Genghis Khan dude gets a new form that has a falcon motif
>All the while we've been fighting acrobatic zombies who seem to all be based on Japanese rulers
>Main general-lookin' dude looks like Nobunaga with a bigger mustache, kicks my ass every time I see him, even when I go all DO NOT PURSUE on him
>The Clan leader who gave me the belt keeps hinting I may be seeing the power of one of the progenitors of the Clan soon, but all he keeps doing otherwise is talking about his hero CaoCao
>Almost want to just jump on my own goddamn fire spear already
Why's my life gotta be so 糞 /krg/?
>Why can't /krg/ come to a consensus on good seasons?
Even the ones that are regarded to be "bad" still have some redeeming qualities (some people actually LIKE Faiz's soap opera drama and it has some interesting characters, Decade has Decade, Wizard has godly fight scenes, and I don't fucking know about Kiva but people defend it for whatever reason).
So it's more of a matter of whether how much you enjoyed those parts outweights the negatives.
When will Yurusen become relevant?
Or is Yurusen just a marketing ploy?
I'm pretty sure you already know the answer to that question Anon
Why is it that Kamen Rider and Sentai aren't held in such high regard in Japan?
There are some actors who really disregard it as childish nonsense (like Kuuga's actor) or there are some who, while they enjoyed being a part of it, it would be considered career suicide if they went back to it since obtaining bigger projects (like Fourze's actor). Or you have the actors who don't do much nowadays and just join again because why not (Faiz' actor) and for the most part it seems as if they have fun with it
Add to the fact that the ratings for both have been declining in the past 5 years or so as well.
It just seems odd that something that's been a part of Japanese culture for decades as well as being heavily influential on their popular culture doesn't really get much respect nowadays.
Is it just because it's a kid's show and thus isn't considered all that special anymore? Have things changed or am I just overthinking it?
Things go through booms and busts in popularity all the time. Just look at the history of Western superheroes for a comparison.
I wouldn't read that much into it, honestly, it's the same as any other trend in pop culture. It'll be viewed differently as each new generation moves into it and develops from it.
Who would have thought the Rider movie that almost killed Kamen Rider in the 90s is the best one?
That'd be the pretty generically named "Legend Heroes"
Kinda find it funny, anime and tok unow have multiple shows that play around with the idea of heroes powered by former heroes.
Rider is held in high regard in geek circles at least, which is why you see a greater variety of established writers trying their hand at Rider than Sentai.
Part of the problem is the usual Toei cheapness that affects all areas of their production, not only live action. Look at the disaster that's the Dragonball Super production. If it weren't for the Dragonball brand that show would be dead.
Kiva is essentially Shakespeare light mixed with Universal monsters.
The riders forms outside of DoGaBaki are outstanding, Saga in particular. The Fangire designs have an awesome theme. The concurrent Rider stories was an interesting addition to the story
Kiva is in my top three series
But why would you hire a voice actress as talented as Aoi Yuuki just to shill toys?
I like them all. They all have short comings and positives.
>Kuuga and Agito are both all around great shows.
>Ryuki plays the horror card very well, and the rider dynamic was very tense the whole show. Shinji a cute.
>Faiz was fun as fuck and had a lot of interesting character interaction
>Blades got one of the best endings in rider and the rider shenanigans were fun.
>Hibiki is one of my favourites. It felt comfy as fuck and I loved the characters. Even the ep 30 bullshit didn't really sthrow me off.
>kabuto has THE best suits and fight choreography of the series. Dat smug Tendou
>Den-O was comedic genius, and hotblooded fun. Has a pretty awesome ending and tons of fun movies and shit.
>Kiva has a lot of dumb shit, but the actors were all solid and gave great performances. Fangire were cool enemies.
>Decade was hype.
It's only his first episode but I already love the other Agito.
>"You can't perform a complex operation on two people simultaneously, that's insane!"
>"lol just try and fuckin' stop me then"
>W, OOO and Fourze were a great trilogy series. If you like one, chances are you liked them all.
>Gaim was Gaim. It was the 'shit has hit the fan' show. All those characters were fun and shit was TENSE.
>Ghost is... something I need more time with..
>Haven't seen Drive or Wizardo. Saving the best for last.
Wizard isn't COMPLETE shit, it's biggest failing is just that it's fucking boring and the plot and characters aren't allowed to grow in any meaningful way.
Drive starts off a little uneven, but it's got a great cast and almost all of them get some phenomenal development during the course of the show.
Nah, I just haven't gotten around to them. Didn't want to start Drive while it was airing and I wanted to watch Decade and the Heisei1.0 rider stuff first.
I mean, I liked Kiva, Faiz and Hibiki. I can't imagine Wizard will turn me off.
Wizard isn't nearly as bad as Kiva.
I actually liked Faiz better than Wizard
I'm still in the process of watching Hibiki as Metronome is putting out subs. I really fucking love the show so far though.
I'm just happy Ghost have been pretty good about the sound direction despite the belt noises. It's never really as bad as it could have been.
I kind of wish the drivers would tune in with each other when there are multiple riders and play a 'let's team up' jingle instead of playing individual shit noise. Or have the drivers sync with each other and play a tune that combines their driver songs. Something clever.
Hibiki was surprisingly awesome. I loved it.
And Kiva had Otoya and Jiro, so it wasn't all bad.
I miss the early Heisei belts that weren't so fucking noisy, I agree.
>we will never hear the sexy dulcet tones of the Faiz belt again
I don't hate it so much as I just acknowledge it is terrible. It's just this mess of awkward and inconsistent writing writing, character personality changes, and one of the least interesting protagonists.
Still has some of the best presentation and choreography in the Heisei era.
I hate how the belts have to play the transformation jingle every time.
In some scenes you have:
>the background music
>two jingles (main and secondary rider) playing at once
>their respective sound effects
>a rider talking on top of it all
I know it's a toy commercial, but it sounds like a huge mess.
>Is it just because it's a kid's show and thus isn't considered all that special anymore? Have things changed or am I just overthinking it?
Kids shows were never really that special. It's okay to say you got your start on Rider or Sentai because they're staples of Japanese pop culture but you're generally supposed to want to aspire to bigger things.
So I guess for a frame of reference: Imagine if some big American actor got his start on Power Rangers and went on to do big budget movies, earn multiple awards, and basically become a mainstream star. Said actor wouldn't return to Power Rangers - and sadly, it's often not the actors decision. Agencies have this thing, they feel like going back to these shows is a step down because they're literally called launch platforms in Japan, they're broadcast on a day and time when people are home on national channels. Actors want to go back all the time but their agencies are usually against it and this is generally because the actors in Sentai and Rider, if they go on to have careers, become teen stars and you don't want your teen star doing a geeky kids show.
That said, so few Sentai and Rider actors become legitimate stars and not just teen heartthrobs of the moment. Odagiri Joe became an indie starlet while people like Takeru Sato, Matsuzaka Tori, Rin Takanashi, and Sota Fukushi become mainstream movie and TV stars.
Then you have the actors who become popular for a year or two and then just sorta pop up in shows as supporting cast members - Yuusuke Yamamoto and Masaki Suda were big for a few years each and now sorta not.
You do realize the chest-piece of Kiva was quite literally destroying his spine, right? That's why Emperor Kiva uses composite chunks of armor for the chest as opposed to one solid thing spanning the entire torso.
SUpposedly Decade was redesigned to compensate for Takaiwa's damaged lower back by distributing the weight across his upper chest instead.
The Kiva base suit put all of the weight on his spine
Decade's base suit weight was distributed across his entire body, so even though it was heavier than the Kiva suit, it was much better to wear.
You do also realized that his serious back pain started since Agito? The problem got worst over the years and the statement he made wasn't anything new. He complains about his back every year.
There's a difference between just a geneuine bad back and a giant hunk of heavy synthetic materials unable to let you move your back at all while putting extreme weight on it.
Half of Takaiwa's back problems stem from suits that restrict movement around his waist and lower spine, as he made similar complaints with W. If he moved in any way that wasn't wide, bowlegged motions, he'd rip the damn thing apart.
The difference is you only have read or heard part of the story. Both Agito and Faiz suit also did serious damage to his back during the time, and he did complained about that in magazine interviews.
Just because you saw him talking about Kiva on video doesn't mean the others are not doing the same level of damage to him in all those years.
Okamoto carried that legendary 120+kg Changerion suit and didn't even mentioned much about his hospitalized days. It's just a big cry baby trying to get more attention.
>tfw Shin spilled millions of Eiji's potential siblings into that butt
>Okamoto carried that legendary 120+kg Changerion suit and didn't even mentioned much about his hospitalized days. It's just a big cry baby trying to get more attention.
Okamoto is a physically bulkier guy than Takaiwa in general. It also had better fucking distribution and didn't require him doing shit like jumping around. Takaiwa's a bit of a huge bitch, but you yourself would beg for mercy after wearing the Kiva suit.
>Okamoto is a physically bulkier guy than Takaiwa in general
If only there was a way for people to work out and get bigger and stronger somehow.
Oh well, it's not like it involved his job or anything.
He only complained about Agito, Kiva, and W, the latter two necessitating not only really fucking uncomfortable poses (Agito also has those, but only those) but also very strict movement limits due to the actual proportions of the suit.
He considered Faiz to be one of the perfect suits for his body alongside Decade, if he had such serious back problems from Faiz he wouldn't have let the directors use his default idle positions between scenes for an actual pose for Faiz.
Don't forget that Takaiwa's done his fair few amount of actual mecha acting with suit weights that border 50-70 k, which is pretty goddamn heavy, even if it's not Changerion-tier.
Takaiwa's a whine and always has been, other suit actors have admitted that, but KIva nearly destroying his back is one of the few legit complaints he's actually made.
A Kuuga-based game where you play as Godai, only the Arcle's effect on your mind is more intense and more prevalent than in the show. You have to solve a series of brutal murder mysteries to try and prevent further deaths by eliminating the responsible Grongi, all while you can sense Daguva as this strange malevolent force that's always watching you.
Ultimately, you have a confrontation with Daguva and, depending on choices you've made throughout the game (namely, how violent you've been, and how much you've let the Arcle's influence affect you), you'll either have a fight similar to Kuuga's final battle (except more open-ended in that you aren't sure if you've really won), or you'll come to realize that you're both one and the same and basically lose your mind as a result.
Anyone have a webm of Yongou's first fight against Drive? The one where he no sells everything and just keeps slugging him in the mouth?
Hojo actually succeeds at discovering Shouichi's secret identity
Honestly I'm more surprised that this is the first thing Hojo has succeeded at the entire show, I mean besides his ongoing plan of being the biggest, saltiest douchebag for no reason whatsoever.
I'll punch you right in your swirly tits you bee bitch.
I'm just saying there's a resemblance not that it's a rip off
Pap is just a skeleton with chest armor and a red scarf that has to resemble a HUNDRED OC rider designs regardless of age
Wasn't supposed to generate replys or anything it was just meant to be funny
No wonder /krg/ is so easily trolled, you don't even have to be trying
Oh, so there are. But they don't share the same cool color scheme, so I'll dismiss their existence for now. Well, maybe not Chop Shop.
I'm just saying if ya didn't find it funny you could have just scrolled right past and went on with your day
Your the type of mongoloid fisted hitler that empowers those Steven universe posters
Probably the cutest crossover picture in my folder.
Ghost has a great soundtrack and I really do enjoy all the characters in it so far. Akari and Onari actually do shit to contribute to the story and are likeable characters. I don't much like the gimmick, but I care enough about the characters that I enjoy watching each week regardless.
A reminder that
Amazing Ultimate is very possible.
How would that look? Rising Ultimate with no asymmetry and all the non-gold parts turned to black? Wouldn't that look exactly the same?
I think Rising Ultimate looks pretty good
as a toy
Before Ultimate form, anyway.
It's still a much more minimalist design though. The silhouette is much simpler than some other final forms, and has a very simple color palette as well. The only extra ornamentation is the gold piping around the armor pieces and the arm blades.
Why don't they make these things in order? Why would you make Decade before finishing the first nine?
Money, dear boy.
I think the SHFs for Faiz and Blade are both stupidly expensive right now, so there's obviously a lot of demand there, so I don't know why they're going in this order.
Ultimate Form is still pretty minimalist, especially amongst final forms. Shining's relatively simple as well but it adjusts by flashy CGI lights and a batshit insane set of finishers.
I hate it because it's not minimalist look
Adding some fins and more horns is like pouring some milk in to a cup DELICIOUS
Adding MOAR fins and MOAR HORNS and HURRRRR MUSCLES is like having the damn cup over flow you see what I'm saying it's to much
But it's not right! His name is "Decade"! It literally means "ten years"! They're only halfway through the journey! You can't reach the destination without completing the journey! That's wrong!
Oh really nigga?
Yep. According to Bamco and Toei, there are only thirty-two Riders.
I'm thinkign Amazing Ultimate would be like a cast off form of Rising ultimate, closer in design to Kuuga's ultimate concept art where it's got less armor(like Shining Agito) and has a cape, giving off a more regal appearance.
>tfw Amazing Dragon, Pegasus, and Titan never
If you're me then I'm you, and now our positions have been reversed. Now you're the one claiming that Drive was the first Rider to get married, as well as that Accel never had a thing named after him.
What do you want the Kamen Rider after Ghost to be themed around?
I wish the new series was the like these OVAs
>Not wanting this to be Amazing Ultimate's design
Oh my god I know right? Komugi-chan R is atrocious. It's like they just took some character names and turned it into a generic magical girl/idol show instead of a parody.
>The belt jingle
I always loved Putotyra showing up, especially when he took his axe out of the ground.
I'm down for it.
Samuenco was really ahead of its time
>first get into Kamen Rider with Kuuga, W and OOO
>immediately start bouncing around some ideas for making a Rider that transforms with tuning forks as a gimmick
>mfw I find out Hibiki is a thing
Not sure about the name but it's probably be something like:
>Base Forms are Rock, Electronic, Hip Hop, and Jazz
>Mid-Season upgrades are Metal and Classic
>Super Mode is Remix
>the forms provide the fight BGM and using the super mode creates instant medleys of different form's musical styles
>belt toys are miniature CDs
They need to use them sparingly, though, since it's a shame when shows get good soundtracks and then proceed to cover every fight with insert songs.
I think W handled the inserts almost perfectly.
>One of the three main characters of Heisei VS Showa
>The only one who doesn't use his ultimate form, even when he really needed it
>Fucking WIZARD used his ultimate form, and he was only in the movie for like five minutes total
I don't get it. Does Decade hate winning now?
>Beginning of the movie
>Decade: "The world of Riders is one of kill or be killed. In the end, it's all just endless slaughter. I can understand if you're sick of it."
>End of the movie
>Narutaki: "DECADE! AREN'T RIDERS WONDERFUL?!"
>Decade: "Narutaki! ...I think so too."
Wanna know what also helps?
Fucking every female agent and manager he met, getting a good word just about everywhere.
>This unlucky piece of shit samurai is fucking literally all the bitches and basically you're fucking stupid
I'm glad for him at any rate, being able to get rather big roles after Den-O
Good Den-O subs when?
I love how the W novel first introduces her, and from Philip's perspective, no less.
>Every morning, a high-pitched voice acted in place of a proper alarm clock. All who heard it felt as if it were piercing their very skull. This marked the arrival of Narumi Akiko, chief of the Narumi Detective Agency.
What a god. I love that the frail, unlucky Ryotaro is actually a sex beast behind the scenes. It's great.
I liked her.
How come when all the Riders are gathered, Rider 1 is usually the leader, but when it's just those seven, it's Stronger? I mean, I get that Stronger was the then-current main Rider when the Legendary Seven was introduced, so naturally he'd take point, but in-universe, there doesn't seem to be a real reason for it.
She's certainly not completely despicable, but she is definitely a major negative point in the show.
>You are opponent is mine
How the fuck does anyone not notice that.
"Those who don't fight won't survive!!"
Shirou has just invited everyone in /krg/ to become a Kamen Rider! And with a Contract Monster to go too!
Everyone here is now forced to move in Japan ( Shirou is paying your stay since he's such a nice guy) Also monster's are attacking japan to top it off!
What happens to /krg/ and Japan?
What do you do?
I grind Monsters until I feel comfortable and then go on a rampage.
If I lose then I grind more.
Once Survive Cards start getting handed out I find out who has one and gank them before they become a major threat plus get a super mode out of the deal.
So I love stop motion and one of the dude's I subscibed to on JewTube uploaded these recently
Yu-Gi-Oh x Ryuki/mostly Dragon Knight figma
Dude, it's pointless. Don't you remember? The Rider War was heavily rigged. Kanzaki never intended for anyone other than Odin to win. His plan was to have the twelve Riders kill each other and then Odin would kill the last remaining one. It's honestly impossible for Odin to lose unless something huge distracts Kanzaki, or he forfeits.
Odin had the strongest stats of all the Riders. He was stronger than Knight Survive. He had the most powerful Contract Monster. He could rewind time. AND he had an unused Survive Card. There were three Survive cards, and only two of them were handed out.
Literally the only reason Kanzaki repeatedly failed to win was because Shinji kept delaying the Rider War and making it go on for too long, allowing Yui to figure out the truth and keep getting herself killed before a conclusion could be reached.
