>America was funding Napoleon so impressing our sailors was justified lmao
In reality we were embargoing both the U.K. and France..
Actually America barrowed money from France to fight the UK, but France actually loaned America money they barrowed from the UK.
America paid France back by backing them in wars fought over Canada.

And anyway Britain's war of aggression against Napoleon wasn't justified to begin with
1886: Geronimo surrenders
On this day in 1886, Apache chief Geronimo surrenders to U.S. government troops. For 30 years, the mighty Native American warrior had battled to protect his tribe’s homeland; however, by 1886 the Apaches were exhausted and hopelessly outnumbered. General Nelson Miles accepted Geronimo’s surrender, making him the last Indian warrior to formally give in to U.S. forces and signaling the end of the Indian Wars in the Southwest.

What's the deal with this guy?
Alan Watts general?
Let's talk about his ideas and teachings.
https://youtu.be/H1LzVN8nqg0
Lol. Really dude? You might as well go for mckenna if your going to in this direction. At least his ideas are original and would make for some stellar science fiction. He also has a good talk or two about hermeticism and alchemy if you're into that.
>>3332284
Nah, I'm not into pissing contests. I'm aware of McKenna and the little shroom elves, but I couldn't give two shits.

>mfw made an Alan Watts thread a while ago with serious discussion of metaphysics and our perception of god and the self
>not much interest tb.h
a shame, much of his stuff was quite interesting and I find his discussions on a pragmatic atheism particularly interesting.
He spoke a lot about god, the self and their relation, which I find the most interesting. In one of his books, The Tao of Pilosophy, he speaks about faith through Atheism, not for the sake of denying god's existence, but for the sake of 'letting go of god' as a means to prove faith. He also states that images and icons of god like churches and artwork and big gold crosses are things we hang onto due to a lack of faith.

>DUDE EAT MUSHROOMS AND GET ENLIGHTENED LMAO
No thanks
what was her problem?
I hereby propose a moratorium on the use of the word cuck except in its strict sexual and romantic meaning
Cant imagine anybody using this. Especially in offensive millitary settings. Must be claustophobic as well as being dependant on somebody else pumping in fresh air to you. The amount of dangers are unreal, yet people dared to use these. In the air you could eject and use a parachute on the way down, but here ther is no escape. How did people dare to use these?? Any recorded accidents with these things?? (Other than pressure sickness-related things)

You should read 'Descent Into Darkness,' it's about the Pearl Harbor salvage divers. Quite a few died, oddly more civilian divers than navy ones, but its amazing how they were able to work at all down there.
The air line isn't just for breathing but provides buoyancy to the suit itself, so losing air for whatever reason also results in the full weight of the suit and helmet transferring to the dude already scrambling to surface or unkink his lines.
Also a comical instance of a diver finally reaching the bottom only to discover a spider in his helmet.
Do you think if Marx's father didn't convert and kept Marx's birthname as Carl Mordecai Levy
people would be more aware of the communist scam?
I don't understand how /pol/tards pretend to be redpilled and woke but know less about Jews than anyone else on the planet.
>Hey guys, Karl Marx was JEWISH! I bet he changed his name to MARX because no one ever fucking expects the name MARX to be associated with Jews!

Yes some of his buddies were corrupt but he had little to no knowledge of any of it and the only other knock against him is extramarital affairs, which, who cares? His Presidency was highly successful by any objective measure, more successful than a lot of other Presidents' even, and he's completely deserving of a reputation that ranks him below shitty ones like Johnson, Fillmore and fucking Franklin Pierce.
To call Harding a worse President than Franklin Pierce is completely absurd.
He's dreamy.

He was also a better president than Wilson.
Jerry was the real President.

Is there any phylosophical approach to the relevance of having a fitness body (not a merely healthy one) and its real importance to a modern first world human? Are we morally bound to enhance our body up to peak performance?
I think there are philosophical reasons to become the best person that you can be, which would include physical fitness along with intellectual and moral "fitness" and growth. You don't have to get fit, the same way you don't have to learn, but in both of these cases you are neglecting the true potential of your body and your mind.
