I just can't figure it out.
I understand that since Chris is autistic he's supposed to not understand that what he draws is bad and alarming in both writing and art.

I understand that this is supposed to stem from his parents coddling him and refusing to let him into the special education classes he desperately needed as well as sheltering him from criticism.

But it still doesn't quite make sense as the reason for which he produces these things. Autistically-induced delusion and unwarranted self-importance doesn't seem enough for this state of mind needed to find this as acceptable to produce.
