>As Bleeding Cool told you earlier in the week, the comic book retailer advocacy group ComicsPRO has been holding a Marvel conference call with editors and creators today, ostensibly to look at how the Generations one-shot comics currently on final orders will segue from Secret Empire to Marvel Legacy. But it’s also proved an opportunity for some retailers to react to Marvel over what’s been going on of late.

Now we knew that Marvel Legacy is the new promotion and not-a-relaunch from Marvel Comics that intends to revive certain classic aspects of Marvel Comics alongside the newer versions, a little like what DC Rebirth recently attempted at DC Comics. And just as Action Comics and Detective Comics regained their classic numbering, all of Marvel’s superhero comics will also regain their classic numbering, adding up all the different relaunched volumes to create the final figure. We ran a few of them here.
>So how does everything fix together? The Generations comics may spin out of Secret Empire but will be one-offs without impacting continuity but may work as perennials to introduce the audience to certain characters.

Other than the "no more heroes fighting heroes thing," which I don't trust Marvel at all to stay with for a long period, Legacy continues to sound like complete fucking garbage. The fact that this is likely just another promo to hit certain milestone numbers before the next round of #1s instead of a new status quo and company mantra like Rebirth was is fucking bullishit. It's also apparent they're STILL going to be pushing the replacements but this time with the help of the originals. I can't believe every new piece of information about Legacy somehow gets worse.

Except any of the New Gods. I kind of think that they're a multiversal constant, even if there's minor differences between universes. Darkseid is Darkseid regardless. Highfather is Highfather.
But, most cosmic shit would still be what it is, just geared to the opposite "pole" of purpose. Brainiac and Starro wouldn't be bottling or conquering because they're amoral or evil, but instead preserving or protecting newly found cultures/races/species/whatever.

Just read through it today and now I feel really bad about not supporting it earlier, the only downside is that the artist needs someone else to step in every couple of months since he also does the avatar comics and with the exception of the deadpool issues they are rarely good. On the upside I finally have a reason to read a marvel title again, I especially appreciate that we are going full Morrison animal man.
