"No."
https://www.amazon.com/Necronomicon-Files-Truth-Behind-Legend/dp/1578632692

Buy it, read it, refute it.

ALSO, the Tysonomicon proclaims that the ""REAL"" Necronomicon is in both Sloane Additional Manuscript 36674, and Sloane 3189.

Luckily, I have BOTH of those in my Sloane MSS folder. Neither contain anything remotely resembling the Necronomicon.

of course i use vaishnav as a pejorative. i barely think you folks are people. youre more like sad little rats. vaishnav arrogance and passive aggression are hilarious, usually because vaishnavs are just superficial ex-christians who think theyve stumbled upon some grand religion. protip, you havent. take the speck of dust out of your eye instead of talking out your ass.

>>
>>19409346
>vaishnavs are just superficial ex-christians
It IS funny to me that the Vaishnav/Krsnites generally tend to be of the same socioeconomic bracket as Christian evangelicals, whether in India or in the States:
>Upper Low to Lower Middle income
>Lukewarm education
>Desire greater for economic mobility through symbol attachment
>Children of converts, else "born again" in the social sense from cafeteria religion
>Aspiring business owners but can rarely leverage the backing to do so
>>
>>19409346
The best part is that there's probably not a single Vaishnavite, except perhaps Bhakta, in the thread, but you autists still sperg out about it in every post.
>>
>>19409368
Bhakta posts vaishnav stuff all over the board.
>>
>>19409379
Why does such a harmless faith trigger you? If you shaivites are so confident in your delusion, is debate really such a danger?
>>
>>19409379
I post when Vaishnavas or Krishna is brought up. I rarely start a thread, and when I do, it is a GV general. I posted here because anon was saying things that are decidedly not Vaishnava. If the label was being placed as an insult, then it's of no matter to me. If someone actually thought Vaishnav philosophy is to stay forever in the delusion of samsara then I wanted to correct it.

My presumption confirmed, I'll be going. Hare Krishna.
>>
>>19409388
For as long as Vaishnav shopkeeps refuse to sell to anyone with a Tripundra on their forehead, I'll keep telling Vaishnavs they're not welcome ITT.
>>
>>19409388
Would you consider shilling a terrible translation of the Bhagvad Gita harmless? Would you consider innumerable accounts of predatory behavior justified in the name of "universal love" harmless? Would you consider an extremely creepy personality cult harmless? The pretense of harmlessness cannot cover spiritual poison
>>
>>19409388
It's far from harmless. It's full of bigger and more dangerous cults than evangelical christianity. The little good is spread so thin that it's better to just tell them all to fuck off.
>>
>>19409388
>harmless
>"i want to spend a billion more lifetimes here so that i can live in sense pleasure instead of achieving liberation
yeah no
>debate
how do you debate people who move the goalposts every time? and who redefine well-established words and terms to suit their warped views (which automatically makes the real definitions defunct in their eyes)? and who dont care about debate but only proselytism? there can be little debate with those people. it's like trying to debate theology with jehovah's witnesses or mormons or something.
>>
>>19409397
>If someone actually thought Vaishnav philosophy is to stay forever in the delusion of samsara then I wanted to correct it.
You're welcome to make your point.
>>
>>19409402
Also:
For as long as (largely Vaishnav controlled) media outlets in India WIG THE FUCK OUT when they find evidence of Vamacara praxes out by the river, like Christfags wigging out about "satanism", I'll keep telling Vaishnavs they're not welcome ITT.
>>
>>19409424

It's an orthodox mantra but w/e, I like it:
Om Tryambakam Yajamahe
Sugandhim Pushtivardhanam
Urvarukamiva Bandhanan
Mrityor Mukshiya Maamritat

We Meditate on the Three-eyed reality
Which permeates and nourishes all like a fragrance.
May we be liberated from death for the sake of immortality,
Even as the cucumber is severed from bondage to the creeper.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UehA0qeqXUI

Individual mantras like this don't mean a whole lot though outside of Puja or initiatory instruction.
>>
>>19409542
>Individual mantras like this don't mean a whole lot though outside of Puja or initiatory instruction.

I don't know shit about Hinduism, what do you mean? How does one use a mantra?
>>
>>19409551
Without saying that vibration is the foundation of reality, mantras are like the melodic and thematic elements that make up a raga. They move the mind in certain ways and when used in certain combinations in the context of a greater ritual, the tree bears fruits.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxuGYAVbMwc
>>
>>19409596
Whoa. So how do you develop the ability to vibrate in the proper way to resonate with the force youre trying to invoke?
>>
>>19409596
>in the context of a greater ritual
^This.
Pujas are huge.
One Dhyana mantra could help you focus on a godform but the Puja evokes the godform for veneration
>>
>>19409617
"Vibration" is a thing but a proper translation of Spandakarikas or Anandalahare indicates the doctrines of vibration aren't about sound and breath, but the, um, metaphorical throbbing between heartbeats. The give and take of worship, and the trembling webs of time and space which make up our reality.

In the context of Tantra, a proper "vibration" is important but almost takes a backseat to more complex concerns such as construction.
>>
>>19409623
So how do I Puja? Like if I wanted to do an intro to Shiva puja for instance
>>
>>19409617
You vibrate in the proper way to order a number two with a large fry and you vibrate in the proper way to shitpost. These are the subtle vibrations of the mind and soul. Also >>19409623
>>
>>19409623
>but the, um, metaphorical throbbing between heartbeats.

Like a pebble being dropped into water only to have it ripple back to the center? I'm thinking about bloodflow between heartbeats here.
>>
>>19409618
What poonigger godform is even worthy of memorizing a puja for?
>>
>>19409642
>godform
We're dealing in Absolutes. Well, the Absolute.
>>
>>19409640
Yes that's a good example, if still a bit "material" for the tantrik interpretations of "vibration" doctrines.
>>
>>19409636
The way OUT is the way THROUGH.

Start with the Kalipujas I have in my Eastern folder. They're fucking gigantic. The good news is you can clip certain bits (only experience can tell you what can get neutered) and most emphatically do not need the fully illustrated temple setup (but will need food, water, colored powders, and a table for the yantra/vessel/food, etc.).

It's just a persona to get subs and views. If you actually get his books they are pretty solid in their construction and pretty meaty in their content. He's a rebrander. I mean you COULD look up 20 different books on the subject on your own, wasting valuable time, or you can just get his books which generally winnow out the chaff and leave you with the no nonsense bits you need for practical results.

So today's tiny mind blowing moment for me has been brought you by Saros series 145 -

I didn't know this but apparently eclipses occur in sequences. The eclipse sequence is "born" at one of the poles of the planet, then over the next 1,300 years, it develops from partial to total as it moves toward the equator, then dwindles back to partial as it ends at the opposite pole. This is sick.

The current Saros family, to which the August 21st eclipse belongs, began in 1639. It'll end at the South Pole in 2991, at which point, Saros family 146 will be born and travel back up to the North Pole.

I can't speak to the traditions of those southern tribes, but I'd assume there's commonalities across all tribes of men, regardless of language or geographic area.
Most tribes have had a basic distinction between what we now call RHP and LHP. Different groups have had different words, but for now I'll use "medicine man" for RHP and "witch doctor" for LHP.
With the medicine men, they might be a bit secretive, but they'll teach their pupils quite plainly, assuming the pupil has undergone the correct initiation rites.
With the witch doctors though, for the most part it's taboo to even speak of the art. Either you watch the old masters and get it, or you don't, either way fuck you.
No doubt your ancestors also had these types of RHP and LHP traditions. Most tribes don't appear to have made a moral judgment one way or the other. Hey, sometimes we need the nice guy that heals people, and sometimes we need that fucked up guy that wrecks shit. A parallel can be seen in the civil structure of many tribes, wherein their government consists of a "peace chief" and a "war chief"; the peace chief deciding civil matters, and the war chief deciding violent matters.
The point is, the spirits of your ancestors know more about your tribe's magic than I could ever hope to glean.

>In Greek mythology the union of sun (Helios) and moon (Selene) is celebrated as a mystic marriage, as the collapse of opposites. We can also find such statements in the Kalachakra school, but here the Hieros Gamos is a marriage of death, brought about by a terrible existence by the name of Rahu, which we now wish to examine in more detail.

>In Tibetan astronomy and astrology (which are not distinguished from one another) two further planets with the names of Rahu and Ketu are to be found alongside the seven wandering stars (the sun, moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn). Seen from an astronomical point of view we are not dealing with real heavenly bodies here, but rather with the ascendant and descendant lunar nodes, that is, the two points at which the moon’s orbit intersects the ecliptic (the path of the sun). These are also known in the occident as the “dragon’s head” and the “ dragon’s tail”, or together as the “ dragon points”. When, at times which can be determined astronomically, the moon passes through such an orbital node (or syzygy), then an eclipse can occur: when the moon is full a lunar eclipse, and with a new moon a solar eclipse.

Gelug is gonna try to funnel you into Kalachakra. See how many public empowerments HH has done on Kalachakra. Others schools have a far less "linear" progression where terminal praxis is going to be elsewhere.

Four schools, competing worldviews, different foci, and honestly I still barely understand the mechanics of school differences and have yet to find anything that really gives a good understanding of anything more than how they educate, when I'd like to know why.

I imagine a lot of that is caught up in untranslated swaths of the Kangyur (Tibetan "Bible", more like a few bookcases).

"A Bitch from Baltimore"

"Desire is the movement of ground of Being’s manifestation. Desire is the ground of Being’s unfolding as the world. Desire is Being manifesting the being-ness of all beings. As Jacque Lacan once said in Baltimore “Desire creates Baltimore.” Dzogchen is the experience of the intertwining of movement and awareness. As Garbe Dorge the ancient Dzogchen master explains there is no difference in being in movement and being in the state of stillness. Desire is the movement of being."

You recite it, all the time, mentally, with fervent devotion toward your personal deity. The more the mantra means to you, the more passionate you are about your personal deity, the better results you will get.
However, what makes a mantra is tick is the knowledge of the meaning hidden in it. Mantra, especially seed mantras of different gods, are viewed in Hindu traditions as gods, therefore knowing a mantra means accessing to power of the god it represents. Abhinavagupta expressed it by saying that the letters of the Sanskrit alphabet - called matrka - represent different forces of Shiva that create and maintain and destroy the world through different combinations.
That's the main reason why tantras were considered secret - not because of the sexual or transgressive rites, but because of the mantras and the power they held. The writers and gurus believed that if the wrong person gained access to them, he could wreak havoc on himself and others. Furthermore, the mantras were believed to work because the guru - who represented the highest deity in the particular cult - imbued it with his power during initiation rites.

A concise summation of the real problem right here.
>>
"Do you want to know a secret? It is a secret that has been kept intact for centuries, but it is of supreme importance, actually indispensable for understanding the real essence of Christianity and the hidden development of Western culture. It can give you the key to penetrating the core of all religious traditions in the world. Here it is: during the Last Supper, it is not bread and wine that Jesus Christ gave to the apostles as symbols of his body and of his blood. What Jesus really offered on that occasion, which was to become the model for the central ceremony of Christianity for centuries to come, was his sperm. Since then the practice of spermatophagy (literally, the eating of sperm) has been the central, albeit hidden ritual practice of the Catholic priesthood. But references to this practice can also be found in all the religious traditions of the world.

What I have just described is, in a nutshell, the thesis that a Belgian spiritualist, the Chevalier Georges Le Clément de Saint-Marcq
(1865–1956), presented to the world in a pamphlet first published in 1906, L’Eucharistie. Is it possible to think of anything more scandalous, outrageous, indeed bewildering for the average Christian believer, whatever his or her denomination? Yet Le Clément de Saint-Marcq was intimately convinced that he had discovered a truth of supreme importance for the progress and the welfare of humanity, and that it was his duty to spread it as widely as possible, using all the resources that his intelligence and his personal fortune could offer him. This he did,
stubbornly and tirelessly, over a period that spanned most of his adult life. He had to pay a high price for it, but his unwavering, if eccentric,
commitment has made him one of the most enigmatic figures in the history of modern Western esotericism."

Is he /ourguy/?

Kewl.

The Dirge's beef with Daoism is that, in practice, it was a bunch of anti-social sorcerers conjuring demons and waging magical war against each other. Joel found that shallow and offensive, yet here we are.

I will say that the right Virgo has the ability to channel obsession particularly productively. As like a mercurially-ruled sign of earth, I guess it makes sense to that they have the mental capacity to conceive of a large-scale, material-world rooted system of magick, which all three of those people share. Mercury in Earth makes a ton of sense for that.

Then why are all the Guntherites I know either incapable of securing employment, or if they do, disavow all public association with Thelema while accusing Thelemites they don't like of being dangerous Satanists in open court?

Why are Guntherites politically incoherent?

Why can't Gunther write anything better than a decent undergrad thesis?

The Meral claim is weak for a lot of reasons.

Cameron was as equally attained as Seckler, both verified by Wolfe.

The Order SHOULD have reverted to Jones rather than down to Germer. DDS survived until 1960, and I'm beginning to suspect he was still in contact with Crowley late in life (Netherwood was in the same town ((Hastings)) where DDS lived).

But the Gunther claim is EMPHATICALLY weaker.

CF Russell was disowned by Crowley.
That lineage is every bit as valid as Meral's, which means "not very until you can show me a formal mechanism of succession, and until that time everyone's succession claim is only as good as the initiates it produces". I am still of the opinion that all lines of transmission equally valid by virtue of their own inherent invalidity. As long as none are valid, all are valid; and Bersson's claims are fundamentally no different than Gunther's or Meral's or Russell's.

"Eat Pussi" could be well within the day to day activities of wizardry. then again so is drug taking and fucking in general, in my personal opinion. And as trigger-happy as I am, I am of the firm belief that fireearms should for the most part be kept out of ritual (looking at you, O9A and Hindu Edgelords).

that's why I like this image because it shows the zodiac with these symmetrical loops, the left side has Aries and Aquarius turning about the axis of Pisces, and the right has leo and Libra, Teth and lamed, turning about the Axis of Virgo. I wanna say something about "Satanic Ritual Abuse," so called. I'm not denying it's EVER happened, but the majority of "ritual abuse" cases that can be proven very likely have little to do with Satanism. Look at early Christianity, Islam, Judaism, etc.
Are the modern cases just whackos? My girlfriend works with the mentally ill (i.e. schizophrenic, schizo-affective, bipolar, multiple personality...many have more than one of these conditions) and she and her co-workers have been accused of everything from touching some guy's asshole to taking babies into the basement and ritualistically murdering them. The mentally ill residents even call the cops on the employees sometimes as a result of whatever delusion they happen to be having. And apparently, a sick individual can maintain the exact same delusion for an indefinite amount of time depending on the case. Thoughts?

>>
>>19413704
Yeah you need a precise time for whole sign trad astrology to be of any use to you- I wouldn't be a stickler about it except that you're literally 15 minutes away from having a different ascendant. In whole sign western astrology, the entire chart is cast with the Ascendant as the first house, so if you were born at say, 2:15, the chart would be cast with Taurus as the first house, vs Aries as we see in the chart you posted.
>>
>>19413747
Aw shucks, thanks for trying. I'll scrummage my home in hopes of finding it I guess.

One thing I can tell you is the fixed star Antares is tight with your Venus. Antares teaches us to use power effectively. I am brand new to fixed stars in natal charts...so take that as you will. Maybe look up the star.

The other thing is that the presence of the North Node of the moon with all those fucking planets packed around it, in Sagittarius. The north node of the moon is "the head of the dragon," to me this loosely can represent your travel as a being throughout time, the sort of the "karmic direction" that you're traveling. The sign of Sagittarius, the archer, the presence of your north node brings this to mind - imagine yourself as like an arrow loosed from a bow, traveling through time with a fierceness, I said a FIERCENESS. Mars, the Sun, Antares, Venus, Mercury - all of those things are joining your north node there, in that house, which is ruled by Jupiter. You're basically stacked to have the experiences necessary to unravel some karmic knots; that doesn't mean this will be easy but the fact that this is occurring in a sign ruled by Jupiter, granter of boons, means it won't hurt as much as it otherwise could. Fortune is stacked for you to put in positive fucking work this go-around on the greater karmic themes of your existence. In my opinion, magickal acts or oaths can be taken in previous incarnations can give us a set up like this. Don't waste it - work hard.
