So this dream was really weird. Especially considering I am a guy.

So basically in this dream I was a girl lying in this field and all the colours where incredibly beautiful shades of blue and purple. The whole scene was beautiful. I was wearing this really long purple flowing dress.

Whilst I was lying down these butterflies (which were also purple) flew up to me and landed on my eyelashes. This made my eyelashes start to flutter and all of a sudden this feeling of intense femininity washed over me. And then I woke up.

My grandpa sacrificed a lot for me and he's who I help support now.

I have a hard time letting go of the past. I analyze things so that I can improve. I still hold onto people I've loved, sometimes missing them. I'm aware of when I'm envious of friends for what I wish I could do, have, or feel.

Im afraid of the whole world, i cannot see anything good in it after all this time, yet that belief which keeps me alive must go away, will i truly remain if i do?

What I take from this is that you will meet someone scholarly, intellectually stimulating, but they will have little desire to create or contribute much to either your relationship or society. My advice would be to pick up an artform and date an artist.

In what context, was it on a dream? Are these animals showing up a lot in your life lately?

I think I've talked a wee bit about animal guides in a thread some time ago, was it you who asked about them?

For animal guidance/spirits I use this website for reference https://www.spirit-animals.com but I think the meaning of each are also personal, in the sense of how you can relate to each animal.

For example: Most people hate snakes, some are scared of them, I actually like them, they fascinate me, so if I see a snake in a dream (again depending on the context) I'd see as something positive. Snake symbolism can be betrayal, danger, poison, jealousy etc. But also a symbol of wisdom, health, knowledge...

Probably was me, and then I accidentally abandoned thread.

Awhile ago a hawk pretty much "gave" me a feather, I was watching him groom and he threw it down in my direction and didn't fly away when I retrieved it. I've been seeing a lot of hawks in real life, and today a vulture flew directly over and circled only maybe 10 feet above me.

I usually see snakes as very beautiful healing growing creatures, but I am an optimist...

My take on this is, it's not or shouldn't be anyone you already know. Whoever you may be hoping for specifically will be a lot of work with little gain.
