I'd like to make an experiment.

I'll do 3 to 5 readings (about 1h total time), with Tarot (3 cards) and the I-Ching (1 hexagram). Also, a single rune, but won't 'read' it but only use to learn about the system.

Now, on the experimental part: when you ask for a reading, could you make a linking sigil, design is picrelated, and keep it near you until I post the reading? Pen on paper would be fine.

You might encounter some energy that gets attached to the instrument and also affect their efficiency. Like everything you use for divination or any other sort of energy work it's good to clean physically and energetically.

I use a metal pendulum for divination and I always "discharge" the residual energy before and after using it by simply touching the ground with it. Sometimes even rubbing with a flannel works enough or depending on the size of the instrument you can place a radiestesy/dowsing graphics for the same intent. When working with entities, understand that they can sense your inexperience, your nervousness, and your desparation. Some will find it cute or endearing, others will abuse that.

Is the spirit LHP or RHP? With LHP, it's a business arrangement, albeit with someone who can potentially be really Jewy about specifics. Writing solid contracts is critical. With RHP, you're going to deal with someone who tells you what to do in order to fit into whatever "political" camp they fall into and make your life a nightmare if you don't obey. Only work with a RHP entity if your goal is to be a servile cog in their machine. Only work with LHP if you can write a contract like a lawyer and/or have something to offer.

This brings me to value proposition. Do you actually have something to offer? Spirits don't do things for humans out of kindness any more than humans do. 1. There is no such thing is white or black magic. It's shorthand that is commonly used, but it's not a real concept in magical mechanics.
2. RHP does not mean friendly or helpful. RHP vs LHP is NOT good vs evil. The difference is on the role of will. LHP aligns true will with the self, RHP aligns true will with God/the universe/whatever, but not with the self. The most common reason people paint it as good vs evil is because of Christian mythology, where the rebellious angels are basically those who didn’t like their boss and quit their job to freelance.
3. Assuming it's a RHP spirit, it doesn't care what you want, and it doesn't care about contracts. It will tell you whatever you want to hear, but it is merely corralling you into wherever it feels you would best be placed to serve the goals of whoever its boss is or whatever concept it has of order or the universe. It will initially attempt to get you to obey by asking. If you still refuse, it will destroy your life until you comply, you do away with it or get it to stop caring, or else one or both of you is dead.

Hey, so I have an odd question. I'm a novice reader from time to time, and I have pretty good accuracy. The weird thing is that I've noticed that most to all of my most accurate readings have been at nighttime, while the day is more mixed. Is it just coincidence or is there a name for this phenomena?

And I didn't necessarily get it had to do with attraction necessarily either, though it can translate into that. I got cards like The Moon and Nine of Swords reversed indicating her state. There was an awkward placing of Three of Wands with the NoSrx that, after getting cards indicating you as Knight of Wands and King of Wands, gave me the impression that the general situation of you interacting with her made her odd. I actually got Queen of Cups, too. But oddly, it was a quality attached to you, a highly valuable quality, not something that's just another word for attractive, but a way of presenting yourself as competent as something, that makes her nervous. Could be a skill, or the way you project yourself. Beyond attraction, it's certainly something she values, and starts from that point. I suppose romance would be on the table, from that, though I think proceeding from the original awkwardness in behavior. I think, personally, from the senses I'm getting, that it would end on that note too. But the main takeaway is that this ambiguity is about positive features from you. Hi div, I have a question regarding the practice "irl".

All my life I've been shy and full of bad luck. This past yr I've been working with chaos magick to try and break patterns and it's been amazing. I feel much better about myself, and I don't feel as shy and meek.

That said though, I still have times where the "old me" will show up. I just got hired by the local metaphysical shop to be their reader and artist, and I found that I'm stammering a bit... Or having brain farts even though I've been doing tarot privately for 12yrs. This is my first time doing it professionally.

I feel bad when I have brain farts or my shyness kicks in, because people are paying for a set amount of time. They don't need to hear a minute of me going, "um uh..."

Same with the art. Some people come for spiritual paintings (I ask them questions and I paint their energy). I love the people who talk a lot because I feel like they are staying entertained, but some people barely say a sentence and then I have to think of more questions to ask to fill the time, which can sometimes stifle me.

I had a friend who was actually a gypsy, and every time I had a consultation with her, she'd offer me a tea, even though she wouldn't ream them It was some sort of "bonding" but that is a more personal approach.

When I get those blanks while giving readings in person I look at the card and start to talk about it, or some sort of curiosity related to tarot or just describe the imagery while you're working your brain back to the reading.

But people are different, you'd find some that can get easily entertained and others that just want to get their answers, perhaps analyzing their body language, studying about cold reading would give you an upper hand on how to approach them.

I really hope that he has some inner peace to find. He's kind of an intense individual. The therapy outcome makes sense, and I do think the career change would be for the best as well. My commentary:

Joy seems to always go hand-in-hand with difficulty. There is the wonder and love that permeates relationships, espeially at their beginning, that can turn to fighting and mixed feelings at the drop of a hat. Are you two a new couple, by any chance?

Unfortunately, my experience has usually been that the oracle does not tell us "do this and all your problems will be solved". It seems that, simply by throwing a light on the dynamics at play in a situation, it frees our own intution for counsel. Any decision to act (or more importantly, not act) will thus be your own, but at least on a basis of the oracle's clear insight and wisdom.
