I like to think of them like circuits of the mind. The seals have the appearance of primitive circuit boards to me. So 72 circuits for the lower base passions of the mind and a reflective 72 circuits (the angels) for the higher processes of the mind. I am trying to tie this in with Leary and Alli's 8 circuit brain theory. Perhaps assigning 9/9 to each major circuit with the spirits of the Goetia and Shemhamphorash representing positive and negative currents moving through each brain circuit.

I literally have NEVER heard of someone bargaining their 'soul' in a goetic evocation. What you'll wanna do is check the correspondences to find out what the entity likes, and determine what kind of bargaining chip you'll use BEFORE hand. I guess you don't need to check the correspondences, as it isn't mentioned in the pastebin, but I try to, and adjust as/where necessary

I have done a little work in that area.
>>
>>18893822
What method do you typically use/find the most effective? I've had good success consistently up until something I was working on about 2 nights ago...it also could have been that I was too tired but I'm not very certain.

>>18893831
>>
>>18893831
It depends on the situation. Lord Agni(fire) has been most gracious in times of need.

I never use anything for my own benefit or experimentation.
>>
>>18893831
>I've had good success consistently up until something I was working on about 2 nights ago.

What happened?
>>
>>18893855
Ok, thanks. I typically do an elemental invoking keyed to appropriate element, then the appropriate portion of Bornless, which typically works well depending on what I'm going for... I never do anything just to experiment, but I do things for myself if it involves improvement.
>>
>>18893864
>What happened?
I just couldn't get much. The easiest way (for me) is to manifest these things astrally then communicate by scrying or other means, and I simply couldn't get any more than one image...However, the image has continued to reappear over that time period, since I first saw it during the working. I can't make much of it, yet, but I'm going back in to try and figure it out tonight.
>>
>>18893873
Typically I see the elementals themselves, rather than communicate by images or whatever. I've had exceptional success with the earth spirits. However, I just realized I did things quite a bit differently this time (which I thought would be more effective, calling on the Elemental king(s) and all) so maybe that has something to do with it.
>>
>>18893864
>I do things for myself if it involves improvement.

If you strive to improve yourself for the benefit of mankind, is it really selfish?

In my faith, power is entrusted to those that have lost the ability to abuse it.
>>
>>18893884
I don't think it is...what you are saying here reminds me of how Crowley defined 'black magick' so-called. I mean, helping myself so I may help others isn't such a terrible thing!
>>
>>18893903
Black magicians were anyone he didn't agree with.
>>
>>18893907
For Crowley, the practice of magick—although it equally applies to mundane things, like balancing the checkbook—is essentially to be used for attaining the Knowledge and Conversation of one's Holy Guardian Angel. Since achieving this state with one's 'Silent Self' can be extremely arduous, magick can be used not only to reach that particular goal, but to clear the way for it as well. For example, if one needed a particular dwelling to perform the operation, one could use magick to obtain a suitable home. Crowley stated that magick that did not have one of these goals as its aim was 'Black Magick' and should be avoided.
>>
>>18893914
But I'm sure you have plenty of your own citations to support your assertion.

So yeah, this makes sense in context!
>>
>>18893950
Well, as far as the offering goes it says right in the pastebin what to expect (or it used to anyway)... The Lemegeton aren't demons and I don't think you'll be getting any angels using the Lemegeton methods. I've never tried but the metaphysical mechanics of it are mind-boggling.

No, it is selfless. Because now you have an obligation to use it. You also bear the consequences for everything that results from it's use. It is wise to think long and hard about everything that will be effected by your actions.

>But I'm sure you have plenty of your own citations to support your assertion.

I can understand his position and the logic behind his assertion.

There really is no distinction between black/white magic in my workings. The labels of good/bad are dependent on the result of the action being taken.

How much experience do your have with ceremonial magick? Evocations aren't really beginner operations, and IDK how asking for a girlfriend is gonna work out. May be on to something.

"The spirits of the Goetia are portions of the human brain. Their seals therefore represent methods of stimulating or regulating those particular spots (though the eye).

The names of God are vibrations calculated to establish:

General control of the brain. (Establishment of functions relative to the subtle world.)
Control over the brain in detail. (Rank or type of the Spirit.)
Control of one special portion. (Name of the Spirit.)"

http://www.deliriumsrealm.com/nature-of-spirits-goetia/
>>
>>18894045
Ok it doesn't much matter how much time you spend on here, what truly matters is things like how experienced you are in ceremonial magick...things like working with both elemental and planetary energy are important to this type of evocation (elemental for the LRP, planetary for the GRH as well as aspects of the entity, etc.)

So I've recently starting getting into the Occult/Magick, and decided to start keeping a Journal for it. Mainly for any rituals/rites/etc I do in time. Or would I just be recording it for posterity's sake?

Found this as well, pretty fascinating. Dude is an artist though. I thought the Goetia Girl guy mentioned something along those lines as well but he is pretty out there.

"It is believed that the structure of the seals is similar to the one of today’s electronic circuits. As the seals are used for evoking demons, which are aspects of human intelligence, this implies that the seals can be understood as a primitive artifical intelligence language."

>Would to ever be a reason to recharge/relaunch/etc a sigil after the first time?

If you are dealing with a sigil that pertains to an external entity. Then I would hide the sigil after covering it so that no one including myself could ever lay eyes on it again. Do not destroy it or lose it and make sure no one ever finds it.
>>
>>18894096
Many of the formulae come from Yoruba practices where the components all have individual meaning. What the greeks thought and did is another matter entirely.
>>
>>18894108
I see, so minus sigils for external entities there's no reason to ever reuse one of my sigils? Thanks
>>
>>18894117
It is interesting. Makes me think that when I am drawing a sigil, I am actually connecting paths within my mind like an old time phone operator.
>>
>>18894125
So aspects of the subconscious mind firing up, and when the connection is made the intent is activated? What about shitty drawn sigils?
>>
>>18893739

>>
>>18894125
The formulae are conductive to, but not the core of what is going on. You can draw whatever you want if you believe it's doing what it says it will. The real question is if you can do a blind experiment to see if an individual given a sigil not knowing what spirit it relates to will have the intended experience.
>>
>>18894133

>"WAHHH I just wanna K&C my HGA! Is that too much time to ask for?"

Another area that I am fairly well versed in. Since you are quite familiar with summoning it would be quite easy for you to do. But you have read enough of my posts to know what I am about to suggest, lol.

>I have to head out anon.

Have a good weekend. I hope all of your troubles will soon pass.
>>
>>18894140
Most likely due to people wanting to fuck with others. Never happens. But a sensitive person maybe and this could represent a form of signal reception to the activated circuits. Think of your cell phone.
>>
>>18894140
What if we made up a symbol and spirit? What would they summon?
>>
>>18894121
If your sigil is a symbol of your intended outcome rather than a sigil used in the invocation of a diety. Then yes it can be recharged, but only if you really feel the need to do so. Intruding thoughts can make doing so somewhat risky.

Sorry for any confusion.
>>
>>18894161
I suppose it would be the same. The same as when you create a spirit by giving it elemental attributes, a seal, and a mission/job. When making the seal it would still be setting up connection points in the subconscious, and when finished energy flows to those portions of the brain during the charging of the seal. This makes me think of the Philips experiment now.

Archmage of the High Council reporting in. I can confirm that Ape is an imposter and is unable to cast any spells or curses.

His application to The School of Magic & Wizardry was denied and now he roams this imageboard trying to convince people that he's the real deal. He does not represent us real mages or wizards in any way.

Let me see if I understand this.

-You do not believe in magic.
-You create threads demanding proof.
-You spot a guy performing what appears to be a major spell based on props being used.
-You become upset when the spell validates your initial viewpoint.
-You get so angry that you spam this thread for two or more days.

In my opinion, what you are spreading is your opinion. I have not witnessed any minds being changed or hearts being won.

What is your policy on the use of fire in the dorm?
>>
>>18894532
Fire spells are allowed as long as you have the correct specialized training and the spells are not too potent(i.e. no huge fire tornadoes or conjuring up giant fire beasts that could run rampant).

If it is anything more than simply messing around with small harmless spells or incantations for fun you would have to be under supervision by one of the fully educated fire mages.
>>

Just curious, what's the deference between you and an atheist? You don't believe in anything spiritual, believe in no gods, and don't believe praying does anything. Why bother calling yourself anything besides an atheists? I mean hell, by definition you are one (atheists just means no believe in a god/gods). Why say agnostic? I do not want to arrest you for having an illegal degree, I was interested in where and how you would have been able to obtain a degree like that. It must have been expensive and you must have had to deal with some shady people.

My advice to you would be to drop the idea of lawful and peaceful wizardry and instead seek to join our dark quarters where they practice otherworldly things such as necromancy, demonology and other black magic.

>I dont KNOW
See, that's what I mean. It's a cop out. no one truely knows, and likely no one ever will. So being an agnostic because you don't KNOW means everyone in the world would be agnostic.

As for your lack of belief in magick. If you're open to there being divine, who's to say there's not some way for humans to channel that? Either through rituals, prayer, or something else like that. Also dismissing magick because it's "mundane" is a bit silly
>>
>>18894588
I'm a former agnostic that became convinced of God due to undeniable personal experiences, as opposed to blind faith.

I'd say its completely reasonable not to believe in God when you have nothing to go by except the words of others. But I've found that if you investigate and work in the direction of God, things tend to happen which convinces the mind beyond all doubt. In my experience living a simple and dharmic lifestyle, paired with traditional meditation techniques which settle the mind, is enough to realize that experience in due time.

It doesn't sound very open, but what ever. I'm not here to convince you, I'm not even fully convinced myself though I am open since I'm new to the occult. Just wanted mostly ask about the agnostic bit since I stand by my previous statement of it just being a cop out

Do you believe YOU and what you can observe exists. If the answer is Yes, then you believe in the existence of GOD. The true Ineffable one, not the wrath and thunder - kill your son one.

The power of the Mind and Will are truly cosmic anon. Magick isn't about prancing around in a robe and hat waving your fuckin' wand around, lest that be the mechanism via which you find it easier to channel your Mind and Will.

It's about inducing synchronicites and the juxtaposition of What Is, What is Not, What will Be, and What can Be. The alteration of your Conscious Reality.

There's a very good reason for why I asked you what exactly REAL means to you; because generally one of the hardest aspects to understand for a lot of people is that Reality is Subjective, and that Reality is an Illusion created by your own Consciousness experiencing itself. 'Demons' are something that is both in your head and Real at the same time. Does any of this make sense to you? If so we can continue.

Read more on the story of Enki and Enlil. You will start to see the immense similarities between it and the story of The Fall of The Watchers in Christian apocrypha.

The Beast, in it's older non-Thelemic context can be considered as an overarching umbrella term for Enki and his family. Marduk in the later eons of the Sumerian civilization came to in many ways replace Enki in the Pantheon due to geopolitical changes in Sumeria itself.

Given that the Jews are essentially, a cult exiled from Ur - Marduk came to be associated as the Enemy due to his con notions with Sumeria. They are one and same.

As is Elohiym, Adonai, YHWH, EL, and Enlil - merely different names for the same Being.

Why would I need to look up a common word like ba-al?

>Read more on the story of Enki and Enlil.
I have read the story more than a few times, friend. Are you talking about one of the various stories published on christian websites?

>You will start to see the immense similarities between it and the story of The Fall of The Watchers in Christian apocrypha.

Yes, I completely agree. A score of Igigi and Anunnaki where imprisoned in the underworld.

Perhaps the similarity is due to Christianity being part of the same historical chain of religious faiths? Monotheism, geopolitical and cultural factors tend to have that effect on scripture.

>The Beast, in it's older non-Thelemic context can be considered as an overarching umbrella term for Enki and his family.

I think most people that invest any amount of time studying the faith would chuckle at the implication. It is a fairly lazy conclusion, especially considering the lengths Sumerian priests went to in cataloging these various "beasts". Several of which just happen to match the biblical beast you are likely referring to.

The creation epic alone, would have clearly illustrated the fallacy in that old albeit once common theory (chiefly among christian scholars).

> Marduk in the later eons of the Sumerian civilization came to in many ways replace Enki in the Pantheon due to geopolitical changes in Sumeria itself.

Most people would say he replaced Enlil, which I personally disagree with, but ok.

Marduk is the son of Enki. He did not replace either of Anu's sons. Marduk became one of the seven (see arch-angel). He did not replace his father in the Sumerian trinity. As a matter of fact he often asked for his father council in times of need.

>As is Elohiym, Adonai, YHWH, EL, and Enlil - merely different names for the same Being.

As for my proof, personal experience, which they argued I made up, but given how my experience makes the thing impossible to follow as simply put I was invited, they ended up looking as retardos.

Moreover, regarding magic, and divinities and whatnot, you have to account for (you, not me) the rituals powerful people do in secluded places like Bohemian Grove, you're retarded if you think these people are deluded, not to mention that you have to account for every king and man in power having consulted mages and whatnot.

Specifically, the myth of the creation of man from the Euma Elish - though hardly the only one which can be seen as a mirror for the Judeo-Abrahamic mythos that come later.

Absolutely, if we believe the accounts of Judaism itself; they left Shur for the Levant, Shur is commonly considered to be a transliteration of Ur. I would personally go further and say that the Judeo-Abrahamic faith is merely a continuation of a particular deity cult from that ancient era. With certain later adoptions added to it, and much removed.

Since this touches on: >>18895093
As well... The Beast of One is God for another. Geopolitics and Religious power-struggles tend to indeed have a warping effect on scripture.
There are many Beasts, even in Revelations you can count numerous supposed monstrosities that emerge. 'The Beast' in this specific instance would refer to Satan, given the numeric association, and there are most certainly similarities between Enki and Satan.

Ah you are indeed correct, it has been awhile since I had refreshed myself - indeed in later periods it does seem that he took on most of the functionality of Enlil; I must have mis-remembered. I believe the particular story that stuck in my mind was that of Enki handing over the Rulership of Mankind to Marduk and his 'absorption' of Asarluhi.

If we yet again think of those prior mentioned effects of geopolitics, it would make much sense though that the Patron deity of Babylon (another of the ancient enemies for Judaism) to become a villain as 'Satan'.

The common symbolism of Bulls between both Marduk and 'Satan' supports this linking theory to some degree as well.

>They always leave out Anu. Not to mention Nammu, Ninlil and Ninhursag.
They simply came to have less significance as the years went on. I think likely the last presence of polytheism among Judaism was Ashtar, and even she was eventually removed from canon.

>>18897002
Well i started out with JoS, but they have actually removed a lot of information that is necessary to advance. Their biggest problem is their clergy right now which is trying hard to be elitist and above everyone else. With that being said they do have enough information for people to advance at a seriously fast pace if you know what to do. Took me about 13 months from square 1 to having a risen kundalini but that's partially because I can do 108 cobra breaths in one session.

You need to have developed clairaudience, so work on your throat chakra and clairaudience points. To start communication you need to be able to trance out, you can call your GD prior to that so he can start talking during it. In case you're as unlucky as me you might require a medium for a while.
>>18897071

>>18897072
Merging your kundalini energy does not imply physical death because it first needs to be fully risen, then it's directed through the stone which makes it a sustainable source of energy for your soul, meaning immortality without reincarnating into a physical body. Considering some of us are required to do things in the physical we do not immediately go live on the astral. The philosophers stone is a stone you place into your heart chakra by a method I will not disclose publicly. You can ask Azazel yourself about it.

First of all, raising your energy level is important, but depends on your potential, yoga is slow but effective until a certain point. Cobra breaths are the strongest thing you can do but they don't work unless all your chakras are fully open. If possible communication with demons is very useful for advancement and help in life. So work on your chakras until you can do cobra breaths, the kai purr writing are a good source for them and the rest of the working. If you are not on Satan's side though you won't advance much if at all

It's the sigil of Hephaestus, the cucked smith of the gods who has sired no heirs. It comprises the letters VLCN, and pictographically resembles an anvil being struck and emitting sparks.

Here's some ramblings from a previous /omg/ thread:

>Consider the love triangle of Hephaestus, Aphrodite, and Ares. Hephaestus is the smith of the gods, and he is wedded to the beautiful Aphrodite, but we all know Hephaestus isn't the only one pounding that anvil. Aphrodite has mothered many children by the war-god Ares; note that the sigil also resembles the spear of Ares prodding at the mirror of Aphrodite; an added layer of irony is that the spear of Ares was born on the anvil of Hephaestus, reflecting a reality that the blacksmith is never as greatly respected as the swordsman. In totality, it represents the creative forces of life and death facilitated by the labors of a supreme cuck.

>>18897417
>They're sure as fuck not locals.
The Yazidi people speak Kurmanji Kurdish and adhere to the religion Yazidism, a branch of Yazdânism which is a pre-Islamic, native religion of the Kurds. It's rooted in Iranian religions blended with elements of pre-Islamic ancient Mesopotamian religious traditions and Zoroastrianism. Their cultural practices are observed in Kurdish, which is also the language of almost all the orally transmitted religious traditions of the Yazidis. Although they speak mostly Kurdish, their exact origin is disputed. Commentators identify the Yazidis as predominantly Kurds but according to some sources, they tend to regard themselves as distinct from Kurds. There are also small Yazidi communities in the villages of Bashiqa and Bahazane, that speak Arabic as their native language.

>It's important to note that this fallacy should not be used to dismiss the claims of experts, or scientific consensus. Appeals to authority are not valid arguments, but nor is it reasonable to disregard the claims of experts who have a demonstrated depth of knowledge unless one has a similar level of understanding and/or access to empirical evidence. However it is, entirely possible that the opinion of a person or institution of authority is wrong; therefore the authority that such a person or institution holds does not have any intrinsic bearing upon whether their claims are true or not.

>An argument from authority (Latin: argumentum ad verecundiam or argumentum ad auctoritatem), also called an appeal to authority, is a common type of argument which can be fallacious, such as when an authority is cited on a topic outside their area of expertise or when the authority cited is not a true expert.

hey guys. I need non-meme help. What are the signs of genuine demonic possesion? i seriously think i may be possesed, not memeing even a bit.

I dont wanna sound like some christfag shill who i used t bash daily back when i used /x/ alot but im confused now. Ive been buddhist/hindu for a long time now, and before that i played around with goetia etc. Havent been to church for a straight 8 or 9 years. I went today, to an orthodox church, wanted to listen to the choire cauae my friend said its a unique thing to experience, esp in easter (the choire).
I couldnt last more than 30 minutes after the mass started. My whole body started itching, i started feeling trapped, i wanted to vomit, and at the end i felt like i was literaly choking/not getting enough air. Once i got out of the church i felt beter but it was still really bad, i felt depressed, angry, completly confused.

Wtf is this?

why is everything they can do random shit (clothes, temperature) that proves nothing?
>>
>>18899229

ok so youre schizophrenic, that's a token sentence/logic of typical schizos

"SCHIZOPHRENIA ISNT EVEN REAL!"

>Data from modern scientific research proves that schizophrenia is unequivocally a biological disease of the brain, just like Alzheimer's Disease and Bipolar Disorder.

well i guess it's just a big conspiracy, isnt it? all these people all over the world and history who suffered from this disease in very similar ways, all fake

probably caused by chemtrails or flat earth or reptilians...
>>
>>18899261
>youre schizophrenic

Where's your evidence for schizophrenia?

>data shows?

What data? Where is it?

>biological

Splendid, post a pic of a diseased brain with the disease properly identified.

I'll have you know a wee bit little secret about me: Since childhood, I wanted to be a shrink, I may know a thing or two and may have become disillusioned with the "science".
>>
>>18899266
there's countless studies about it and it affects a lot of people worldwide, so it's a well-known and common disorder

i personally have encountered many schizos, i could even tell they are just from the way they talked before they admitted they had been diagnosed with it, there's also a huge genetic connection (twins have up to 40% risk of developing it as well)

https://academic.oup.com/schizophreniabulletin/article/35/3/528/1871490/The-Neurodevelopmental-Hypothesis-of-Schizophrenia (this one has scans and examples)

"There is also evidence of irregular arrangement of neurons in the entorhinal cortex and disoriented pyramidal cells in CA1–CA3 subfields in subjects with schizophrenia when compared with controls.139,140 Moreover, there is evidence of biochemical changes, including glutamatergic and GABAergic dysfunction in the hippocampus of subjects with schizophrenia." < talking about physical differences

www.cell.com/neuron/fulltext/S0896-6273(15)00372-4

^
Basically, there are these two chemicals in the brain: GABA, which calms and slows things down, and Glutamate, which excites and speeds things up. This research found that people with schizophrenia have unusual numbers of copies of the genes that manage these two chemicals in the brain, and shows that those genes and the imbalance of those chemicals is probably related to their schizophrenia.

>>
>>18899280
>here are these two chemicals in the brain

Prove it with an analytic of a diseased persons brain.

Chemical theory is just a theory. A few years ago the chemicals guilty of schizophrenia were dopamine and serotonin.
>>
>>18899281
the person is a schizo, his "experiences" are fucking high fantasy garbage and he also denied that schizophrenia even exists or heavily implied so

flying flaming skulls in his room? nigger get real

also

>being too retarded to research thousand of schizo evidence studies

don't worry i got you: >>18899280
>>
>>18899287
all science is just theory that is what makes it science

i guess you don't even know what the word theory means, science made out of hypothesis and theories

theories are tested and supported hypothesis

there's a shit ton of evidence (and I have linked you two big studies, which you didn't even read because you're too retarded) that schizophrenia is a real disorder and is even hereditary hence why it's more common between family members, they also found BIOLOGICAL differences in the brain of a schizo

now compare that to the evidence you have of spirits

nothing at all, zero.
>>
>>18899234

>>
>>18899291

>>18899287

I still have some of my mum's pills on dealing with chemical imbalances of other chemicals that aren't the ones you proposed.

Abilify for example deals with problems with serotonin that were never there.

>>18899301
>all science is just theory

And theory needs to be proven to become fact, which it hasn't.

>>18899301
>theories are tested and supported

No, when a theory is tested and accepted it becomes a law, theories are UNTESTED.

>there's a shit ton of evidence

So post it, like you are being told.

>and I have linked you two big studies

None of which show pictures of diseased brains, nor analytics of diseased patients.

>there are differences

In the eye of the beholder and in theory, in practical terms, as usual, they are not there.

As I said, evidence is there only in theory, but when it comes to reality, my mum still has pills for recent medicine that happened to be a lie.

This time too, is a lie aswell.

Because psychiatry has a history of hunting for chemical imbalances and being wrong.
>>
>>18899309

>None of which show pictures of diseased brains, nor analytics of diseased patients.

yes, they do analyzed diseased brains vs non-diseased brains and there's pictures too, but i guess your low-schizo attention span made you not see it

> mum's pills

so you come from a family history of mental illness which explains why you are mentally diseased as well, too bad

>No, when a theory is tested and accepted it becomes a law, theories are UNTESTED.

Peer reviewed doesn't mean tested and proven, it merely means reviewed by a peer.
I can also peer review something, but it doesn't mean it has been tested, but rather reviewed.
