I've got the book these pics came from, I highly recommend it. The stories are fun, the arts awesome, and there's glow in the dark bits which I think is kinda cool.

I'd love to see a movie with a lot of these creatures in it. Most of them are pretty silly, but there are a few that have potential to be scary if done right.

I hope fearsome critters aren't meant to be taken seriously. I imagine a bunch of people around a campfire telling spooky stories about cryptids, and then someone mentions the axehound or something. Then the scene plays out like this.
