So the booklet included with the deck shows a 10-card Celtic Cross spread. I'm assuming that's what I should be using when I practice on irl friends and do irl readings, right?

How would y'all even recommend I approach this? I know I should look through and view each card, probably daily, and try to remember as much about each card as I can, which will take a lot longer. I'm also a bit confused on shuffling (do I shuffle them normally like any deck of cards) and confused on how some cards can become reversed.

Any other overall advice/anecdotes? I do want to learn but I feel very over my head.

Can you explain how cards become reversed? In an deck of cards I've had, I've always tried to keep all cards right-side up and that would be their natural way of being read. I understand tarot is obviously different but perhaps it is a physical problem that I am having trouble understanding.

I see a machine part on a dusty road. It's fully operational it seems and other than being a little dusty and muddied up from the elements outside appears to be in full working order. Neon lights of a jukebox at night in a cafe, club or diner, now empty. Gives me a sense of hope. I think I've gotten two readings from you now and both have been positive experiences. I haven't gotten anything from my love reading yet but the second one sort of validated what I was thinking about a guy friend of mine.

Seems very film noire. I take it that it means you're probably gonna die for a dame at some point, and it'll leave you feeling grey inside. Okay probably not that cliche, but as I see it, this feels like the lost love, or the one that got away. Considerations of what used to be, or what was, potential or things taken for granted. Found love or lost love, it's really the same when they aren't there with you isn't it? Shakespeare said once it's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, but take that thought into consideration, is that really true to life experience and how you feel?

Not really a positive read, but not overtly negative either. If anything I think it's bittersweet. Like devotion and care for someone are nice, but when something happens to that person that can become a curse in and of itself. Just a thought.

I see miners digging up a vein of ore, as they dig they pull up a variety of gemstones and valuable minerals,. The first guy to find a gem, exclaims loudly and starts a "gold rush" of sorts amongst the other workers. There's not really an issue with it, but damn does it get hectic, these guys all abandom what they were initially digging for, and turn into operation snow white and the seven dwarves, they dig for gems and whatnot in an almost silly singsong way.

Basically I take this to mean that in a way either option gets you to the goal. The fast paced option will be all at once if that's something you can handle, but the slow steady process will still reap the same rewards. Essentially you struck gold here as long as you keep digging. It's hard to really lose out as I see it. Just depends on your preferred work schedule. The same gems will lie hidden there regardless of how fast or slowly they're dug up, just gotta keep digging man.

Stone faces, like those Easter Island heads or those Olmec/Inca sculptures. Very basic yet massive heads sitting in the seemingly wilderness. Everyone is different. You can't compare yourself to other readers. If you like your reading and you feel confident, then that's all that matters. Sometimes when I'm really in the zone, I can whip out three card readings 5 minutes each, give or take depending on how long it take to write them up. Scrying anon here, Kind of varies based on the read. Sometimes it feels a full length feature film and other times a short commercial. It varies based on the amount of detail and how much is going on, I've had reads that range from a 3 second picture of something to a full 5-10 minute storyline. Shitty humour aside,
I see a crown of people cheering at a racetrack of some sort. The track is circular and looks almost like a modern or even futuristic Colosseum. The track itself is occupied by only two vehicles, a yellow and blue one with stripes and a very prisitine look to it, a professional ride for sure. The other is a similarly nice looking, (but a little less fancy perhaps) pink and blue getup with bulkier design. The race hasn't even begun yet the crowd is going wild. Cheers and people getting up out of their seats. Anticipation for what is to come.

I see a tower with a large tapestry handing down the side of it. I see a mermaid out at sea, watching the sun set from the middle of the ocean. A ship sits on the horizon and gives a nice little touch to the otherwise calm blue landscape tinted with the oranges and crimson hues of the setting sun in the sky. It looks almost painted the way that the colours shift and fade into one another. Things don't have much of a defninate starting and stopping point and it all blends together like in an old oil painting. There's no real "outline" so to speak and things are mostly differentiated by shape and tone.

I take this to be a sign of both wonder and hope being a part of the upcoming period of time. Wonder and a blending of ideals. Something far away yet closer than you thought. Not to sure what the mermaid and ship relationship is, but just thinking a little on it, if sailors thought mermaids were weird, I'd have to imagine that the mermaids felt the same way about the odd wooden boxes with leggy mermen on em floating by occasionally.

tldr; I think it's going to be a year of exploration and a mixing of things. It's going to be hard to define things in some way if you let it all stay too close together. Take a step back and examine the hues on the horizon, let the warmth and coldness of things separate them out instead of fine dividing lines and you should be able to manage them all separately.

I cut my deck, flipped it and then shuffled it I place my deck down or twirl it in my hand before, during and after doing a read. I also flip the cards over when they've been placed. When placing cards back into the deck I let them go back into place whatever way (however I never have two cards from the reading touching each other). Really once you've gotten the initial shuffle and reversals in place, unless you specifically go out of you way to keep them all upright you'll find they will find a way. Some people or even decks don't like using reversals so it's up to you what feels right.
