What kind of music does /x/ listen to? Longtime lurker here, first post, want to know what you guys are into. For starters, I'm into stuff like Caroliner Rainbow. It's good stuff for taking acid and going on hikes in the mountains, or camping with a couple tripping friends and a bluetooth speaker. I live in Vermont, USA so my hiking buddies and I like to spend free time tripping sack and letting weird shit happen to us while exploring creepy woods and old barns. Caroliner Rainbow is usually our soundtrack. How about you?
BTW pic is a drone metal band called Sunn O)))

Caroliner Rainbow is great, along with thinking fellers Union local 282 and sun city girls, who you might already be aware of.
Death Ambient has trippy avant collages

Zorn's project Absinthe with his band Naked City is great for creeping you out

You getting good acid in VT? Had a friend years ago going to college there and shit was always really quality

Black metal mostly, but tons of /x/ related music, too many to list. Sinistra is a rather small time band though, so take a peak if you'd like.

>>17628105
Never could get into Ghost myself because I'm not into the black metal thing, but I respect those guys for their talent. Great band in general.
>>17628157
I do love Thinking Fellers, I'm very into the old 80's and 90's era lo-fi freak folk indie stuff. I love terrifying music. And about the acid, yeah it's pretty steady here for the most part. I've been having some trouble finding top quality lately, but that's because many of my friends have left the state for college or jobs. I used to regularly get lab-quality Lucy in sugar cubes, that stuff was bomb.

don't listen to anything /x/-related if thats what you're looking for, other than maybe Aphex Twin, and even then I don't really listen to his darker stuff
would BOC and Larry Carlson be considered /x/-related?
>>17629089
I can't really answer that for you, since I'm pretty new to this board. Regardless, Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada are great artists and I think it's good you listen to them.
>>17629089
Just think of the musical content, man.. Surely BOC has some spoop / paranormal themes in their music.
Doomfag here, I was going to suggest some NILE too since they pretty much strictly adhere to the ancient egyptian / middle eastern theme. Unas, Slayer of the Gods is one amazing example imo.
And OP, here is a link to my latest song..

The whole band didn't work on it, but the practice session posted up is 2 out of 3 of us. We actually played our first show recently. We try really hard to stick to a space/sci-fi/alien theme AND sound in our music.

yeah, obviously its subjective on my part. The newest album is the best one theyve done though. They have really settled into their own niche. They have this dark ambient industrial thing going that comes off as neither cliched gothwhining or hipster faggotry and instead is fairly unique.
They did the score for max payne 3 and they had a track in GTAV too if I remember right.
Best stuff in on Death Magic though
https://youtu.be/6aRr8O_D35Q
>>17629482
Yeah that one's really good, it def stuck out to me. It's a lot like the prodigy in it's texture but it's very modern and not as fast obv. It also has Linkin Park vibes, but not in a bad way. His voice is similar but not as whiny and stupid. I also love the lyrics.
>>17628030
