Could any readers help me understand a dream I just had? I usually like my dreams whether they are nightmares or otherwise.

However, this one was different. It was good until the final moments when one of the characters in my dream began to become angry and frustrated almost like it had become sentient and not just the usual sock puppet NPC-like beings in my dreams.

When I woke up, I could still imagine snippets of the world I was in and thus I tried to go back to sleep in order to enjoy the world once more. But every time, I tried to reach back into that world, I could see everything in that place become wicked and twisted.

I'm mostly just shaken from the fact that this has never happened before.

Generally, when you are lucid dreaming and something is out of your control anyway, it is a manifestation of something you are suppressing.

Mine were very clear-cut dreams about not being able to move or speak as a rapist/attacker came at me. He'd never actually get to touch me but the fear of being frozen was intense. I'd get sleep paralysis when I tried to wake up, was unable to break it, had to go back in and confront him.

It turned out it was my subconscious trying to rid me of my victim complex. It worked, after a very long time.

I'm not the best with social cues. As a diagnosed autistic, I find it hard to blend in and even harder to express myself when everyone else is much more interesting and can actually spit out a coherent sentence under pressure.
