Windows 10 seems to make my computer freeze randomly (once every other day), and this is what always shows up in the event viewer before it happens.
What's going on, and how can I fix it?

Application Popup 56 is a generic "a driver reported an error" error.
And "ACPI x" is a generic "some of the code that one of the BIOSes makes run behind Windows' back has reported something" message.
Update your BIOS and your video card BIOS, or replace the motherboard or video card with one that doesn't have this firmware bug.

You mean an IPv6 address (looks like FE42:A5B8:904D:346F::, etc.)? You can most likely just unplug your router and get a new address just like you would an IPv4 address.

What about things other than gym? Creative processes.
Need kind of gothic dark anime, prefferably ones that are dubbed. Dark subject matter, simillar to Kuroshitsuji, Shiki, Another, Death Note. prefferably male main character. Should have nice animation too, Like Kuroshitsuji and not the bad cheap animation some have, If you guys have any reccomendations, would be glad to hear.

I hope this isn't against the rules, both /ic/ and /gd/ rules state to post here.
I am starting a small dessert stand at my local farmer's market (Japanese style crepes) and am getting to the point were I can't put off branding any further. I am hoping to grow the business into a larger operation at some point, so I would like to have a good image and logo mascot from the start so I can order my custom crepe wrapping papers and use it in future.
Now, on to the request. Since its a weeby Japanese style crepe stand, and I really like Japanese mythology I wanted to make the mascot a chibi "Oni" with a dessert theme. I am willing to pay a modest sum in BTC (preferred) or Paypal for the exclusive rights to the image.
If you are interested, please create a quick rough sketch so that I can get an idea of your style and if its the right fit. Also leave your contact method of choice in the same post. It can be VERY basic and rough. I am honestly just looking at technique and style not a finished image. Some guidelines;
>Chibi-style and not overly detailed
>male or female doesn't matter, but cuteness does
>traditional Oni imagery including tiger pelt, spike club, horn(s), curly hair, and maybe a fang
>doesn't have to look menacing
>don't make a Lum clone (try to be original)
>no lewd
>feel free to try and work in a dessert theme like whipped cream hair or candy horns
As I said I am working to grow the business so I have more plans for future commissions from the same artist which means more money and a nice addition to a professional portfolio.

Hey /wsr/,
I was looking at purchasing a new computer monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440. I have an older GPU. I do not intend to game on this monitor, so this GPU should be sufficinet for my work and it is rated for 2560x1600. My problem is this older GPU only has DVI and this new monitor only has DisplayPort.
Now it seems there are passive adapter that can only support 1920x1200 and there are active adapter (for a signficant price) that can support 2560x1600. My problem is all the discussions and ratings for these adapter talk about Display Port ---> DVI, but I need DVI ---> Display Port.
I am not stupid. I am sure a passive cable can work in either direction, but I was curious if the resolution limitations of these passive cables was due to the direction of the data flow. Would DVI ---> Display yield diffrent results? Probaly not. But I thought I would ask you guys before a throw down $200 on a new GPU instead of buying a $100 active adapter that will give me lag.

If productivity is what you're after, pick up an NVS 295 or similar.
It's got two DisplayPort outlets, and can drive them both at 2560x1600 simultaneously. It's just gone EOL, but it's had W10 drivers since release and the latest one was in November.
They can be had for less than $10, as they're common system pulls left over from people putting GPUs into workstations.

Zetsuen no tempest, darker than black, psycho pass, sidonia no kishi, the sky crawlers, shingeki no bahamut, Eureka 7, Phantom: requiem for the Phantom, Zankyou no Terror, Fate stay / fate zero series, death note, Ergo Proxy, Shin Sekai Yori, Akira, and Rahxephon are a few of my favorites. Deterrence value. A beating is going to be scarier to most people than a fine (that you can try not not pay) or a brief imprisonment (which is at worst enforced boredom, a vacation at taxpayer expense). And if the punishment is carried out publicly, it reinforces to the public that the rules are being enforced (which speaks to the strength and stability of the body which made and enforces those rules). When crime occurs in public and punishment is carried out behind closed doors, the public doesn't feel safe. They need to see both to feel that justice is being done.
