You have two options:

1. Download another anti-virus program and do a boot scan to remove any virus on your machine.

2. Uninstall Malwarebytes, removing any pre-existing settings for it and then re-install it. Then do a boot scan.

It might be an idea to download a firewall like Zonealarm, that will hopefully reduce the chance of downloading a virus program in the first place.

Currently harmless. Just make sure to uninstall it when you do a manufacture restore.

What you actually need to look into is if your computer supports DDR3, and what the timing of your current RAM is.
CPU-Z is a program that can be used to look at your current RAM and see if it's DDR3 - it probably is, but it's best to check.
It will also tell you the DRAM frequency (the 1333 in the RAM you posted) and the CAS latency. It's always best if the DRAM and CAS frequencies of your RAM match, but usually isn't much of an issue if they don't.

If you're running a pre-built PC, there's a minor chance that the motherboard might be hardwired not to accept more than the factory 4GB of RAM, but it's highly unlikely.

Honestly man I started with /mu/ and /mu/core isn't that advanced. Refer to pic related; I would start with Neutral Milk Hotel, Radiohead, My Bloody Valentine, The Flaming Lips, King Crimson, and Weezer.

I've been using /mu/ for a while now and there's plenty of entry level stuff. I also recommend using last.fm to keep track of what you listen to and get automatic recs, and also use rateyourmusic.com to browse specific genres and stuff like that.
