I'm going to second what that other guy said, if you avoid watching shows because it has any amount of fanservice you're a faggot, also a hypocrite. You listed the GITS movie which has the major getting naked for no reason. There would have been nothing to stop them from changing it to some sort of light bending field generated around her body. But they didn't to stay true to the manga, the manga which has plenty of fan service because they're not shying away from human sexuality without making it a focus. Fan service at the expense of the story is terrible, but dropping a show because human sexuality disturbs you means you're trash.

What do you mean no reason? It's clearly part of her character, that she's so detached from societal norms that she doesn't feel the need to wear clothes or feel embarrassed, Batou covers her up in one scene.

There's a difference between human sexuality and just fan service.

I don't mind sexy scenes (I've listed Dirty Pair which has a bathtub scene), I like action films with tits in them but the way the a lot of anime does "sexiness" is skeevy; peeping tom situations, "accidental" groping or sexiness in a scene/anime that doesn't warrant it.

I mean, I'll watch an anime if the story is decent and there's only one or two of these scenes, (I liked 3x3 eyes which had a couple of pointless accidental boob grabbing moments).

Pretty accurate assessment. I'd say, realistic mechs, realistic military, sci-fi / cyberpunk and robotics, time travel, psychological horror, and gory stuff in general. Not so much fantasy. That sounds about right. Parasyte, Kaiba, RahXephon, Knights of Sidonia, and Subete ga F ni Naru all look really good, and I will have to go back to Cowboy Bebop eventually, the first 4 episodes didn't hook me, I don't know what happened. IIRC, the original was so poorly received that when ADV received the rights to dub it, they were basically told to do whatever they liked just so long as the basic plot was kept intact and it made a profit. And so they did.
