And holy shit, Kagura sounds terrible in the dub. Theres a certain personality in the voice alone that dubs completely remove altogether and make them all sound the same I've noticed.

Another example of a bad dub is Ben-To, someone posted a comparison of the scene where Sen throws his Sega Saturn out the window, I don't think I saved it though but the dub basically butchers the entire scene terribly.

Frankly the only good dub I've heard was GitS SAC series, and Baccano.

Fun Fact: For some dumb reason the DUB audio is 5.1 instead of 2.0 like the Jap original, at least on my release.

What do you mean by that? Virtually all anime has the mouth movements synced to Japanese speaking patterns, but if you mean the detailed articulation of the jaw and lips while speaking no, those are kept simple so they can change scripts on the fly if they have to, they just keep the lines roughly the same length. It has the additional consequence of making anime very easy to dub into other languages.
