I prefer her as a ditz because she actually has legitimate place in the show now and makes a great buffoon along side Bugs as the straight-man. She plays of well against her friend Tina too, who's Daffy's match up. I supposed Tina inherited her 'coolness', being the opposite of Daffy who relative to her, plays the buffoon.

>>1737068
>>1737096
yeah it is probably aimed at a slightly older age group, but you might be reading a little to far into it. It's just more of a sitcomised re-imagining of the characters as if they were living in a modern day society. Daffy is like the George Costanza archetype basically. Bugs is a slightly narcissistic and uptight. Lola is the crazy obsessed girlfriend + ditz. And Tina is like the ironic tough sarcastic Newyorker-type chick that is actually nice, but only to certain people. I think they did a pretty neat job, Lola in particular is the highlight of the show.
>>1737595
it's a shit show because they took established, cult characters from and gave them completely different personalities in a completely different show format
what is the fucking point of this desecration? just make new characters and not ruin classics
>>1737625
I disagree. I think it's a necessary evolution for the show and it's characters. The old 'cartoon characters chasing each other' formula is too played out now. There's nothing more that can be done with it. Besides, It's not like the classics are 'gone', you can still go back and watch them.
>>1737640
what they did was no evolution, it was outright murder
if you want a new format, make new characters, not destroy old ones
>>1737042
I don't know if that's the same show but some people from The Groundlings were doing Bugs and Daffy show on Cartoon Network.
They actually have a new show on TV Land called Nobodies and it's based on this. While all their Groundlings friends are making it big in TV and movies they're doing this kids show.
Anyway, they made this show for Adult Swim called Young Person's Guide to History (Spinoff from Saul fo the Mole Men) that I believe is the funniest half hour in TV history. And I'm telling you all this in hopes you watch their new show so they can keep making it and I can keep watching it.
Again, I'm not sure if that's them but I know they were doing something like that. So not surprising it's a bit beyond kids show stuff.

They never were. The old Warner Bros./Looney Tunes shorts endured because they were made for grown-ups, and if kids liked them too, gravy. The difference between the classics and what comes out today is societal and broadcasting standards then vs. now.

It's honestly one of the best ways to make her work in this show.
She's literally all the really annoying characters that aggravated Bugs in the old shorts, but is his girlfriend, so he HAS to put up with it instead of just leaving her in a room full of dynamite.
>>1737659
But Bugs was always the straight-man, Daffy was always petty, Porky was always the hapless hero, so on and so forth. Hell, Lola and the girlfriends were either never IN the original shorts or had no personality period.

"with training" is such a stupid phrase. It always involves just breaking a power down to it's most basic component, and then amplifying it back up far beyond what it previously was to be able to do anything that was only vaguely related to the original power. You have no idea what the powers limits might be, or the mental limits of the person who uses them. It's pure fan fiction. Here let me do it for Stone Boy.
>With training, stone boy could learn to only transform part of his body and quickly change it back to normal. There are also multiple types of stone in the universe that are much harder than diamond. WITH TRAINING he could turn into those kinds of stones as well and be nearly invincible
See it's stupid. You can do it with anyone and it means nothing.

>The fug has been Shaggy smoking that's turned him into a Dank Kang master?
The subplot of the movie is that Shaggy went to a hypno-therapist and when he hears a trigger word he loses all of his fear. He hears it a few times during the movie and goes from that God Mode back to his scaredy self and back. It's funny.
The straight-to-DVD Scooby movies from the past 5 or so years have been great. Even the weird crossovers like the two WWE ones and pic related.
>Uhh, is that from the same Looney Toon sitcom rehash? This is like a bad take on the original daffy, almost satirical.
No, it's more recent. It's from the people that made Wabbit, which is a Bugs Bunny show with slapstick shorts that are all weird and not funny and have too many bland new villains, with the only classic one being Sam. They somehow got greenlit to make a general Looney Tunes sketch show. At least that clip is trying to be like the old ones and not Wabbit which tried WAY too hard to be modern.

You know how in some shows they nerf OP characters so that they can be on par with the rest of the group, otherwise they would be in a league of their own? This needed to happen to lola if she was to get any screentime, because Space Jam Lola would be playing the straight man way too frequently in the show.

It's cynical and grim, but it is only with this personality that you'd be able to inject the amount of humor that you can out of the situation. imagine if instead of Carl you had some normalfag family next to the ATHF? It wouldn't even be a fraction of the situational richeness.
