I've already unsub because of it.

I never understand this kind of dumping. A few YouTubers I watch have livestream channels, and they'll occasionally dump a load of content. But it's on a dedicated livestream channel which I subscribed to in order to watch their dumped livestreams. That's why I'm there.

I - and 99% of the channel's subscribers - subscribed to Dexbonus because of the daily vlogs ... but she doesn't make this content anymore. For the most part, there's no real reason to unsubscribe while the channel is having no negative impact on my sub box ... but now it is. So I've unsubbed. And I won't be resubbing. Not for any malicious reason, but simply because there's nothing on that channel I want to watch anymore.

Pic related is the view/subs Social Blade stats for Dexbonus for the last month.

The big subscribers "bug" that was making the round yesterday might be muddying the waters a tiny bit, but YouTube/SocialBlade are both reporting that the subs stats have returned to normal, and the stats of a few other big channels (including Pressheart) don't show the same sort of trend.

So it looks like she's lost something like ~4,000 subscribers since she started dumping the VODs? That's about 1% of the total Dexbonus subscribers. It'll be interesting to see if/how this trend continues for the next few days, and whether there is a spike of resubs in the days after the dumping completes.

On a side note, I'm actually a little impressed that Dexbonus still does ~2k views per day. That's a fair number of people who are watching years-old vlogs on an all-but dead channel.

And importantly, although entirely subjective, I prefer the rate at which they upload their content (it's consistent, up to date, etc). The point is that I don't have any particular issue against livestream/dumping channels in principle.

Like I said, there's no particular reason to *not* stay subscribed to a dead channel, because if it's not uploading anything, you're not getting any notifications from it. It's just another name on a list of people you previously subbed to, and that's that. YouTube has been one of my main sources of entertainment for years now, my subscriptions list is reasonably large. When I do prune it, it's from channels which have been consistently uploading new content that I've *not* been watching. Plus, there is always the chance that said "dead" channel might come back to life and start posting content again. Which is good ... if it's the same content I subscribed for in the first place. Which leads to ...

Before ending Coffee Time, the videos were fluctuating between 40k-100k views (~15%-40% of her current subscribers) (note: all her current dumping, so far, is the equivalent of only a single "bad" Coffee Time ... hint hint at where priorities could be better placed). Saturday Morning Dooger was more stable around 20k-30k views (~10% current subscribers). Most of the current VOD dumps are getting something like 0.3% of current subscribers.

<50% active subscribers is typical for big, years-old channels, and many operate around the 10-30% region. So I'd say that even during the Saturday Morning Dooger period, her audience participation wasn't *horrible*.

Nah, I don't think so. The fact is, very few people seem to care about her "selling out" to do a sexy photoshoot. And she's never really been a "family friendly" type entertainer anyway (look at her language on Co-op, her total disregard of social norms about bodily functions, some of her odd choice of games/anime to cover on her various shows), so it's not like she had any bridges to burn on that front. Especially if you compare her to the "fully sold out" gamer gurls like Meg Turney, she still looks relatively sensible.

And at the end of the day, her shoot wasn't even *that* bad. They mostly went for the "lol quirky" angle with the pizza stuff and all the stuffed animals, she was never in any fully exposed bra+panties shots (she's had bikini pics on her twitter/instagram that were more revealing than any of the Playboy shots, hasn't she?), there were never any gratuitous butt/breasts/crotch shots, etc.
