I only bother with dubs for those shows because that's what I experienced first so they have nostalgic value for me. If you've never seen them before then it doesn't matter. That said, most early dubs were not very good, and there was definitely a much higher frequency of what I call "offensively bad" dubs, dubs so shitty I found it impossible to continue watching the show in English. That still does happen with newer dubs by the way, just not nearly as often. They've come a long way. There are standouts from the early 00s and before though (Cowboy Bebop, GitS:SAC etc) but I wouldn't rank Inuyasha or Sailor Moon among them. They're both a firm "okay," a mix of decent performances and subpar ones.

Also, a lot of the hate for dubs that you see is really just shitposting from newfags who learned to hate dubs through imitation. The stigma against dubs as a general rule is against people who watch dubs exclusively or primarily, since they tend to be super casual and ignorant and don't really fit in on /a/. Such people who wandered into /a/ and outed themselves as dub-only watchers were regularly shamed and ridiculed, which newfags witnessed and assumed it meant all dubs are shit. So now to this day they persist in hating on all dubs regardless of context. One of the downsides of having unwritten customs is the nuance gets lost and the next generation is dumber for it.

You should realize by now that just because an anime is by a studio doesn't mean it will be similar to earlier works by that studio. You have to pay attention to the staff, mainly the directors and animators. If you had, you'd have realized Kiznaiver's staff was mostly rookies with only a few veterans in there, and virtually none of the ex-Gainax posse that form Trigger's core.

What you probably envision as "Trigger-style" is actually Hiroyuki Imaishi's style, the guy who came up with TTGL, Panty & Stocking, Kill la Kill, Inferno Cop, Space Patrol Luluco, etc. Those were all his ideas and he was director and animator on all of them, along with his Gainax buddies he brought with him when he founded Trigger. Coincidentally, none of those people had anything to do with Kiznaiver, and the story was actually brought to them by freelance writer Mari Okada, it didn't originate within the studio.
