Just finished the first season of webm related and loved it. First modern anime I've watched really.

That was a shitty description. Konosuba's strength is that it's a PARODY of the "transported to a fantasy/game world" story.
The MC is completely selfish and the reason he got transported was painfully pathetic.
The Goddess who aids him is a literal retard.
Other party members are a chuuni mage girl who refuses and outright can't cast any spell other than EXPLOSION, which sucks up all her mana and leaves her completely paralyzed.
And a Crusader type who has the best defense... but can't hit stationary targets most of the time. She's also a hard masochist and launches herself into battle just to get wrecked.

The story is pretty much the MC just trying to exploit the system as best as he can to live a comfortable life, leaving the Demon King business to someone else.

As further comedy it's revealed that the MC's deal was one of many. Each dead young man from Japan got transported to this world with one ridiculously powerful item of choice. And most of these guys completely squandered their gifts or got themselves killed in stupid ways.

Or even worse, invented devices that put the world in far more danger than the Demon King.

It's a pretty funny show that doesn't take itself seriously.

That's the reboot of the series. The original one was much more serious in tone and it sold like garbage.
So they went the sure-fire way with a quirky happy go lucky story with fanservice in every frame for the remake.
It's still good though.
