As soon as I heard there was going to be a Doctor Strange movie set in the current MCU, I wondered if they were going to go full magic or try and tone it down to fit in with the more "serious" other films (I don't think there's any outright "magic" in the other films, even Thor and his films are more "sufficiently advanced aliens" than "magic").

Both impressed and surprised when the trailers came out, although I guess there's still wiggle room for "it's just crazy alien technology".

Well yeah, there's a lot of technology stuff, but they clearly have supernatural abilities too, see Heimdall too, for example.

Speaking of Thor though, I'm actually looking forward to 3, since they described it as a buddy movie between him and Hulk.

For the most part, it's fine but if you ever do try to get into comics you'll find that any given comic will characterise everyone differently when compared to different comics in the same story, sometimes. Trying to build a canon in your head for comics is a pain in the fucking ass.

That said, I gave up before the New 52 so that could be more coherent for all I know.

Furthermore, adaptions are always interpretions and I don't know how dense comic (or book) retards must be to not get this. They can factually do what they want with the source material and it's their good right since they aren't exactly insulting anyone. If your feelings are hurt by that, so be it, but it doesn't make casting black people as white characters or vice versa any worse or better.
