Now wanna hear what's some actual bullshit censoring? They totally skipped the first area of world 2 in the Game Gear port of Ristar. That was one of the few exclusive areas to the Game Gear too not presented in the Genesis verison! It's still there in the rom it just gets skipped if it detects it's running on a non Japanese Bios.

I thought them changing Axl's shirt colors to yellow in SoR3 was a worse pointless change.

And, besides, you can just get the original Japanese version. Even translating it is TECHNICALLY "censorship" in the way people in this thread seem to think it means, because there's no such thing as a 100% flawless 1-to-1 translation of anything. Even being okay with the localized title and box-art ought to be considered as egregious as the other "censorship"; it's certainly not what the original developers intended, right? Even if they were privy to it and okay'd it, its still "censorship" because its not what they truly wanted the finished product to be.

The Genesis version of Maximum Carnage got a MA-13 rating, not sure why there's no rating on the SNES version. I think there might have been something a bit more extreme on the Genesis version, that didn't meet Nintendo's standards. Who knows? I know that both games are nearly identical, so it's hard to tell.

Nintendo of America censored more, from religion to sexual themes then later on snes blood. It git a bit lax on blood later on with the rating guide.

Sega of America mostly only ever selectivity censor sexual stuff. Still had blood, religion aspects, man on woman violence un-censored.

JJ & Jeff was somewhat censored in the stupidest way. The characters used to literally bend over and fart on each other in the JP, they use fart spray in the US. Outside that, Turbographx 16 didn't really make it to the great video game rating crisis.

Splatterhouse made it to shores with the only thing changed was Rick's mask to distinguish it from Jason Vorhees for copyright reasons.

I don't get why people think Blaze's posture is better on the censored version.
On the original, her legs are positioned in a way that you can tell she's kicking.
On the censored version, she looks like she's lying, taking a sunbath in mid-air.
I notice many of you talk about the arms (they look kind of awkward in both versions), but pay attention to the legs (the LEGS, look at the legs, not the crotch you pervs)

I wonder if her hitbox also changed. The japanese version looks like the kick is more horizontal, but the US version has this weird down-angle position.

All beat'em ups on snes have a 3 enemy max limit, they're all the same. I think the only exception to the rule was king of dragons that had mostly 4 or up to 5 enemies at rare occasions.

People may want the real deal. Removing was the effect of Usas hyper chivalry. Also a Level was removed and you can't have 3 main characters in both games.

Final Fight one for western Gba censored itself but less. Let's you play as 3 main characters though and other new stuff.

Arcade western versions aren't censored for man on women violence and they didn't censor Poisons and Roxys costumes like Sega versions did.
