Beyond Oasis. Like Zelda mixed with a brawler.
Sweet Home
>>3435798
sweet
What's with the oddly specific yet blandly general prompt?
And why am I complying?
>>3435801
that art style
>>3435798
Did that fire genie just punched a rat and turned it into hambone
>>3435793
Yeah alright
>>3435809
never heard of this game, I like the art
>>3435813
I don't think it's specifically supposed to be ham, but it is delicious meat that will heal you a good amount. If you just kill it on it's own you can get meat, but not delicious cooked meat. Though if you didn't have the genie, you can knock them into campfires for the same effect.
It's an awesome game, as is the sequel.
>>3435824
true I forgot you can do this on emu
>>3435818
Legend and Beyond Oasis are both truly fantastic games. Playing them both is highly recommended. Just make sure it's Beyond Oasis, not Story of Thor which is the PAL release. It runs at a lower frame rate and plays like shit.
>>3435825
this graphics are just amazing, I will be playing this game soon
Golden Axe Warrior. A clone of Zelda nes.
Just no beam sword.
>>3435798
He punched that nigga into a joint of ham.
>>3435828
They're as fun as they are awesome looking too. You get these various elemental spirits and use them to help you fight and solve puzzles.
>>3435829
Is this on the 3DS eShop?
I've always loved Sword of Mana, but never got around to FFA. I played FFA on an emulator back in 2001 but never really got anywhere in it because I ended up playing the FF Legend games.
Brain Lord for the SNES.
Beggar Prince for Genesis.
Barver Battle for Megadrive Japan.
Final Fantasy Adventure, also known as Mystic Quest in Europe(confusingly with the same font as the SNES game), and Seiken Densetsu Final Fantasy Gaiden in Japan.
>>3435919
Oops, didn't see it was already posted. Anyway it's really amazing.
>>3435793
Kiki Kaikai
Toejam & Earl
Zombies Ate my Neighbors
Shock Troopers
the story is kinda tasteless, but it redeems itself with its distinct battle system
Crystalis, a fun action RPG on the NES.
so many good stuff, don't know where to begin
>>3436183
But anon, OP said good.
>>3436273
I personally list all my interests in a text file that I place on the desktop so I can quickly check whenever I feel like playing something new.
>>3435809
what is a good emulator to play this ? i tried Yabause but get a black screen after the "press any key"
>>3436297
I haven't found anything that runs it well. That game is one of the reasons I still keep a Saturn around.
>>3436294
True I used to do this, but forgot about it after I changed computers, gona go back to do it tho thanks for the reminder
plugging this gameboy game again.
Rolan's Curse is short and good, and deserves more attention than it got.
>>3436292
Shadowrun is awesome. Free-roaming, gritty setting, customizable character, variety of party members to choose from. Not a lot of games like it on the 16-bit consoles.
Alundra for Playstation should scratch that Zelda itch.
>>3436565
good thing is that the psone is so easy to emulate
>>3436505tho
the artstyle is great never played it
>>3436581
If you want to play it bad enough, you'll figure it out.
Goof Troop, dudes
>>3436665
Close to Capcoms Pirate Ship Higemaru. The sequel to psh had Ghost and Goblins foes in it.
Goof Troop is shinji mikami first designed game.
He later did Re2.
Survival elements of Groof Troop went on to the RE series.
Gain Ground is a good strategy game with a large selection of characters to play as.
>>3436665
played the shit out of this game
>>3436695
Great game
King Colossus for Mega Drive. Zelda+Ys with a bit of Startropics.
>>3435896
Yeah!
>>3436665
The one game my Dad got really into. Had so much fun playing it with him. Good puzzles for a kid and a dad.
>>3436581
Stop being a poor faggot and buy one. Just don't eat big macs for a week and you'll have enough.
>>3435809
Damn this looks sweet.
>>3436665
Goof
Fucking
Troop
>>3436445
How's the sequel?
Willow on NES. Surprisingly good licensed game, fantastic looking and playing for NES. Fun action RPG by Capcom.
>>3435793
Blood Omen is pretty great, though combat is pretty clumsy.
>>3437296
>green magic bar
>not blue
>>3435801
How spooked will I get?
>>3436164
Quest always reminded me of Lagoon. Entertaining enough, but just JUST leaves you wanting a bit more.
>>3437572
I guess I'll post my game while I'm at it.
Lagoon.
>>3436665
This game is great for co-op and speedruns.
>>3435793
>ctrl+f micro machines
>0 results
why
>>3437680
this looks fun as hell
>>3436694
Don't use your ass for your mouth. Mikami directed RE1, Hideki Kamiya did RE2, Mikami just produced it. RE took inspiration from Sweet Home.
This is an interesting game that changes perspectives between topdown and platformer
>>3437570
A lot. Play with the lights off and full screen with music on loud.
>>3436505
> Free-roaming
You're locked into city sections until you complete enough of the game, not my idea of free roaming.
> Customizable character
In a game where stats mean nothing. Stats meant more in the original Breath of Fire than they do in Shadowrun.
> Variety of party memebers
Generic dude #1, generic dude #2, or for a change, generic chick #1.
> Not a lot of games like it on 16-bit consoles
True, but luckily there are lots of better ones
>>3435861
Did you figure out any of the special moves (there are a lot)
>>3438161
If Sweet Home manged to scare you Anon, then I just don't know what to say, my disappointment in you can not be expressed by mere words.
>>3438161
Nope.
>>3438183
Im just saying. For the people who easily can be scared from observations.
Honestly the real world is more disturbing to me.
>>3438174
why do you have to make a misery out of everything
most games from that era didn't have any of the mentioned concepts
>>3438213
With the exception of all the ones that do, yes, you are totally right.
>>3435809
i traded this game for super bomberman 2 for snes and 20 bucks. no regrets. honestly I kind of hated it and I generally like rpgs/action rpgs.
>>3438240
You dun goofed. Super Bomberman is objectively the better game between the two. Way to have shit taste anon.
>>3435798
the protag looks a lot like Ark from Terranigma. Coincidence?
>>3438319
He looks nothing like Ark. Are you high on your own supply anon?
>>3438174
Yeah, it expands as you progress. Lots of games do that. Eventually you have an entire city along with outskirts and indoor areas available to you.
The characters aren't generic. They all have different portraits, strengths, and weakness. If you don't want your main character to be a hacker you can hire one for your team to hack for you. If you don't need a hacker you can just hire extra muscle to do maximum damage.
>>3438364
It's only open world if it's open from the beginning. Shadowrun is a closed world game. Semi-Open at best.
>>3438343
there is a clearly visible resemblance. just not clothing color wise. but even so, it's ridiculous that you even doubt that.
>>3437371
Never played it, but I know it adds multiple characters with differing abilities at least. It's probably passable, just like the original.
>>3438483
Is this some kind of 'all white guys look alike' reverse racism or are you just blind?
>>3435864
I don't think it's on the eshop but they recently remade it on Android and iOS as Adventure of mana. It's not as good, plus no physical buttons.
>>3435829
awwww yissss
>>3437415
Does Willow even use a sword in the movie? Still, it looks fun, can you play as McMardigan as well and stuff?
Somewhat related, pic is Lord of the Rings for the SNES; pretty crappy, but fans might enjoy it as a curiosity
>>3437572
>JUST leaves you wanting a bit more
I agree, actually. I imagine that if they released a sequel following that same style it could've been a renowned classic.
