What belt scrolling fighting games have ya 1cc'd lately, /vr/?
>>3303919
that's not the x68k version, homie
Moving up the difficulties with Blaze in SoR 2.
>>3303945
The X68000 version is kinda overrated. Sure, they made the in-game world larger, but the new areas are just copy and pasted from the already existing material from the FC version. It's not really that interesting.
>>3303949
How does her bra stay on if it doesn't have any straps?
>>3303959
With the blood and semen of her enemies.
>>3303964
SOR1 Blaze was the best/
>>3303968
Style-wise, no doubt--she's out to kick ass and take names in 1, whereas in part 2, she's out to kick ass and maybe go clubbing afterwards, but I still love her iconic design in 2.

Also, why is this the soundtrack to the best Blaze playthrough?
>>3303987
I thought there was an unspoken rule on /vr/ to never post TAS-related shit.
>>3303994
It's not a speedrun, and it doesn't say it is tool-assisted. It may very well be, though.
>>3304001
It always bothered me how Lash only has one color palette.
>>3304001

Your opinion on the Kamen Rider Belt Scroller for the Super Famicon
Is Nekketsu Oyako ~ Hot Blood Familia better on the PSX or Sega Saturn?
Are beat em' up games that don't utilize constant belt scrolling but full environment still considered belt scrollers?
time to hunt
>>3304027
No because they're not on a conveyer belt are they now?
They'd have to he called 'beat em ups' i guess.
>Dur
>belt scrollers
There's a special place in hell for special snowflakes of that caliber.
>>3303919
>Belt Scrollers
You mean beat em ups.
Arent they called wacky walkers?
>>3304258
I think the proper term is trail clobbers.
My bad, I keep getting them confused with walky punchy walkys
>>3304270
You mean Side Brawlers. This thread is about Forward Fistfighters.
Is this the Escalator Eviscerators thread?
>>3304281
Do you mean the Nasa-esque bang-bang oscillator thread?

Any advice for beating the Butcher in Cadillacs and Dinosaurs? I've been using the throw combo, and I can do the first stage with no damage, but I can't get past him.
>one of the captcha images was an unnerving looking Buzz Lightyear costume.
Daily Reminder: In South Korea the term is "Dash and Punch" or "Da-PU 다 - PU" any other spelling or terminology is INCORRECT.
Use the correct terminology/spelling or get >>>/out/ newfag.
>>3305180
>In South Korea the term is "Dash and Punch" or "Da-PU 다 - PU" any other spelling or terminology is INCORRECT.
Who cares about S. Korea? They didn't make any good belt scrolling fighters.
Once the jews of Asia make a good game, they can name the genre.
>>3303919
>belt scroller
You mean runabout rounders?
Love 'em.
Just curious, is it just the one tard that has been pushing for belt scrollers to catch on with everyone, making threads like this or is there more?
>>3305685
Nope, it's an actual label in Japan. Learn to love it, bitchboy.
>>3305379
>S. Korea

Nah, they just suffer from huge short man complex.

Fiancees sister has 34D and went strapless bikini at her after wedding beach party. The top and bottom have wires and some adhesive. Apparently the adhesive can't get wet lol.... for a bathing suit lol.
Dynamite Cop for DC. If that counts.
If not in the same day a friend and myself beat Warriors of Fate, Cyberbots (saturn), and last we beat DnD Mystara(saturn).
All 1cc since we have beat them 20+ times a piece.
>>3305932
>Dynamite Cop for DC. If that counts.
Not retro, so no, it doesn't count.
>>3305950
lolololol.... DC... not retro. lmfao you moron. almost 18 years old and not retro. Jesus this is the funniest fucking joke.
>>3305957
No one is joking, you asshole.
>>3305958
you might as well be, because you're wrong. Read the rules before posting here.
>>3303994
First of all, who cares? TAS is good for exhibition. Secondly, the player gets thrown at two minutes in. I doubt it's a TAS. Beat 'em ups don't exactly require insane reflexes and input.
>>3305018
Thanks for announcing your arrival to the thread. Now, please see your way back out.
>>3305950
The Anti-Dreamcast Autist strikes again!
When will he learn that a 1998 system is allowed on a board for anything pre-'00?
>>3305963
You read the rules, obviously you haven't, because you're posting DREAMCAST.
Delete your post or I will report you.
>>3305685
Pretty much the one tard and people mistakenly thinking to themselves "I thought they were called beatem ups? Guess I should try to play it cool and act like I knew it was belt scrollers all along."
>>3305971
>Obviously you haven't
Wow, what does this sentence say? Dreamcast is retro? Dumbass.
>>3305995
>what is photoshop
>>3305998
Why the fuck would you need photoshop? Crappy underlining and terrible scrawls can be done in paint.
>>3305969
Projecting much? Nobody really cares if it's a "beat-'em-up" or a "belt-scroller" except for a few aspies who can't fathom the concept of synonyms. It's mostly just one samefag replying to his own posts.I bet it's you.
After clearing most Capcom walky punchies i kinda lost interest in the genre, hope i return to them later.
>>3305907
Yeah, it's from the upcoming Nintendo 3DS remake of Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari that is supposed to come out this year.
best belt scroller tbqh
This is a meme thread.
The OP does not care about beat-em-ups, belt scrollers, strolling donnybrooks, walkie-punchies, whatever. The OP is just trying to be "funny" or start an internet fight.
You might as well have a serious discussion in a thread asking which game is best for cuckolds.
>>3306579
>which game is best for cuckolds
Well don't leave me hanging bro
>>3306579
>The OP is just trying to be "funny"
And you're not? Nobody calls these games strolling donnybrooks, dude.
>>3306579
> How the fuck were we supposed to know you have to go right and punch enemies?!??
Honestly, we've had worse. At least with BS-posting we still get a thematic consistency of sorts in these threads (in fact, it's the counter-meme neighborhood patrols the ones who actually derail any resulting BeU discussion)
>>3306604

Here you go friend, enjoy.
I know when it comes to preferred versions of a game, the arcade version is usually discussed and praised , but damn I love Double Dragon 1&2 on NES. I want to love 3 as well, but holy hell is it tedious to play with the enemies having so much health, and how easily is to get your ass handed to and die, not to mention the 1 life you get.
Again it isn't the worst game ive ever played, but it's so annoying to repeat jump kicking and being careful not to get in-between two enemies.
>tfw no friend to endure the pain with me
The night cities with all of those lights, neon signs, and the glistening streets are the best boards in belt scrollers to be honest.
>>3306903
Usually only populated by generic gang themed belt-spawnlings. A little originality would have alleviated the poor ageing ratio of those boards tbch
>belt scrollers
I'm gonna scroll a belt across your bare ass if you keep this shit up.
>>3307147
sounds sexy
>>3304059
What is a belt scroller exactly then? How are belt scrollers more like a conveyor belt than other side scrolling games?
>>3306073
Looks like I struck a nerve, not that it is hard to do with you. The majority of that shit you quoted was people having fun making up other dumb things to call the genre. Keep fighting the good fight, Autism Alarm Man.
So is this the BTG (beating game) thread?
>>3307190
Ironic shitposting is still shitposting. We can no longer have a beat-'em-up thread on /vr/ anymore without dinguses arguing over the proper nomenclature, even if nobody ever mentions "belt-scroller" on the OP.
>>3307291
That's because it's a slow board and the belt scroller guy is very dedicated to trying to spread the term so he will always come into threads and mention it. Probably with the exact goal of disrupting actual discussion and just getting people to talk about what he wants to push.
>>3306850
People just throw it round to be sarcastic about the genre name issue. I never claimed otherwise, just pointing out that it is a fad we have going on that you don't see for other genres.
>>3307190
Of course that is why they do it, but it doesn't change get the fact that we have threads that are clearly meant to push the OP's preferred genre name, either seriously or (most likely) ironically. Within a few days we'll have a "favorite beltscroller where you play as a nonhuman" thread or a "favorite beltscroller where you use a gun" thread or some other throwaway topic.
>>3307257
You mean FTG? BTG isn't a word.
another beat em ups thread
nothing but memes and baits
always the same thing.
u guys have too much free time. bye.
>>3307817
>People just throw it round to be sarcastic about the genre name issue. I never claimed otherwise, just pointing out that it is a fad we have going on that you don't see for other genres.
Who's "people"? This is all literally one guy going around starting threads talking about "beltscrollers". He thought it would be funny to invent a new term and regularly spam it and hope it would spread. It's cancer through and through.
>>3307860
Oh shut up. You're just as bad as he is.
>>3307875
Randy-fag spotted.
Friend and I just played the first streets of rage and died JUST before fighting the final boss. Game is pretty hard.
Speaking of which, whats up with all these sega beatemups having frinedly fire? Half the time a friend has to sit there and watch as the other friend takes on all the minions.
>>3308091
I always get my asses to me by Onihime and Yaksha whenever I try to do a 1CC run of SOR1.
>>3308596
Thats actually where we died. You face them before fighting the final boss.
>>3307867
No one is as bad as guys like OP trying too hard and shitting up the board to force lame memes.
>>3308707
>Git gud and try to employ some actual strategy that isn't walk up and punch.
Such as?
>>3308596
>>3309378
(Not that anon) I wouldn't say any combination of things you can actually manage in that game qualifies as "strategy", but you may have noticed they mostly attack you when your back is turned so:
* Get them well separated; chase one of them away out the screen or something
* Face away from the other one, and give her a clean and predictable approach vector; she'll walk towards you and then she'll attempt either to jump/kick you from a distance (just sidestep up or down the screen to avoid that) or to grab and suplex your ass
* Watch for this latter pattern, and do a rear attack when she's close enough
It's a bit risky, but with a little practice it's one of the safest (and least annoying) ways to beat them.
>>3309543
>There's no strategy in that game
>Proceeds to describe a strategy
>>3309543
You can beat most SOR bosses by focusing on one enemy at a time, then you have less hits coming for you. There are times when you can get rid of regular enemies without triggering the boss.
>>3309608
>You can beat most SOR bosses by focusing on one enemy at a time, then you have less hits coming for you
That's like the entire point of walkie-punchies. Crowd management.
