hey most of this stuff applies

http://creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/Creepypasta_Wiki:Creepy_Clich%C3%A9s

>The cartridge/label shows obvious signs of tampering.
>Obviously technically impossible stuff, such as games that delete themselves in such a way that you can't recover them, or games with "perfect" copy protection. (Such as Killswitch, which is both.) This includes older games having graphics/sound/visual effects beyond the system's technical limitations.
>Song generally regarded as "creepy" plays on repeat or backwards
>Buying the game from someone at a yard sale;
>The game's talking to me, telling me to go away, turn back or something of that sort.
>Thinking that certain things were just some "minor glitches" in the game.
>The person who sold the game (yard, eBay, whatever) begging people to buy it, and for a low price too.
>The character you play as looks exactly like you or someone close to you.

is my game cursed or haunted

That game would actually be creepy as fuck if it was just a generic mascot
>>
>>3183353
No I don't think it's haunted. My DoA Xtreme Beach Volleyball does that too.
>>
Is it true this game has some kind of weather system or something?

It would change randomly to different seasons

It's mostly visual but it really is pretty neat. Lots of hidden gags and easter eggs.

I beat the game and am left to ponder how rewarding a 1cc on hard mode would be.

Porky is pretty generic.

how can you 1cc a game that doesn't take credits?
>>
>>3190448
It would certainly take a great deal of practice.
>>
>>3190448
No idea. What does that have to do with the game being discussed that has unlimited credits captain autism?

The music in this game has this kind of minor/off key sounding decadent carnival vibe that's really unnerving and unsettling.

I love it.

I think i still have that game. Gonna check some day

I just looked up and it seems the developer of this game, Phoenix Interactive, only did that game back then, and then did some ubisoft shovelware on Wii and DS many years later.

But if you want another mediocre cartoon-licensed platformer with somewhat interesting but still clearly B-class aesthetics, sounds and controls, try Taz-Mania on Sega Genesis.
I actually loved it as a kid.

any looney tunes game. they were kinda like good shovelware in the era of rentals.
>>
>>3202326
Escape from Mars is pretty great too
>>
>>3202369
Sunsoft's Looney Tunes games were top notch.

Maybe you mean Acclaim games, those were shovelware alright.
>>
>>3203754
Hey Haunted Holiday was published by Acclaim and it turned out... I dunno, it turned out.
>>
This game is just... Off. The ambiance is weird in all the worlds. The psycho strings when climbing the "woah 3D" tree really made me uneasy. Then the western world and Atlantis feel creepy and empty. Also when I got to the mine, the season made the sky in the one screen prelude blood red. Freaking unsettling. After that is just become a less than average platformer.

Taz-mania on the Gameboy was pretty dope.
>>
>>3205795
Alps is the craziest level, the last level being a spa in a medieval castle is somehow surreal too.
>>
>>3190527
I think it probably really wouldn't.
>>
>>3206304
Yeh but the Alps was meant to be weird so it wasn't as unexpected and unsettling. The castle was okay, the final boss is weird fuck though (from a gameplay viewpoint).

Someone post that Speedy Gonzales Sonic hack that has a really unsettling vie as well.

I love/hate Tom and Jerry for SNES.

It's a crappy shovelware title and I remember raging at it (specifically that toy level) when I was a kid, but at the same time I have nostalgia for it.
>>
>>3208069
It's a dream, nigga. Ain't gotta explain shit.
>>
>>3183353
I remember renting this game as a kid. However, I do not remember ANYTHING about it except for the general setting of the intro level, and a robot boss that I remember not being able to beat no matter how much I tried.

Well, I just watched a playthrough of it. As I was watching the video, I kid you not, fucking NOTHING past the intro level joggled any semblance of a childhood memory. I was beginning to wonder if I didn't make the robot up or it was from another game. It was all foreign to me. Until he got to the last boss, that is. Surprise surprise, it's the robot I remember not being able to beat.

Turns out I actually managed to play through the entire game back then, and for some reason it seems I was too dumb to try going to the left or right to change floors. And I don't remember anything about it other than the beginning and the last boss.

What a trip.
>>
>>3208259
Ok, now that I think about it, maybe I didn't play through the whole game myself. There's a good chance my older brother was the one who played through most of it, and he handed me the controller at the last level. I do recall it was pretty late at night and he was asleep when I was struggling with the last boss, and I never played the game again after I got a Game Over, so maybe that's what happened, and why I don't remember much else about the game.
>>
>>3208120
me 2. it also feels unsettling.

Sorry for posting "e-celeb" shit but whatever, I think they're one of the only guys willing to care about reviewing Tom and Jerry games. It's just like reading a /vr/ thread, retards arguing about shovelware on Sega and Nintendo and discussing about which one is shittier.

Anyone played the Pinocchio game? I remember seeing it on magazines but never saw anyone mention it again. Was it shitty? From the screenshots it looked like it was similar to Mickey Mania
>>
>>3208340
That was probably the most niche video I've ever enjoyed (ignoring the acting.)

I grew up with the genesis game. I kind of like it because I've gotten used to how it controls and memorized the bullshit traps, like those wreaking balls in stage 2.

you sure you don't mean the actual Speedy Gonzales game that's a weak sonic clone but plays on a Super Nintendo so it's worth it sort of?

No. They took that, replaced the speedy graphics with Sonic. And instead of saving other rats you save Mario(s). I'm no sure if they changed the original game games but the background is a weird red hue and feels unsettling. The ending is also weird "SONIC AND MARIO LOVE FOREVER"

I thought that, but then suddenly Alps

They probably weren't even trying to make it terrifying.
>>
>>3209212
Isn't Mickey Mania the one bad retro Mickey game or am I thinking of a different one
>>
>>3218829

Mickey Mania is pretty cool, but I think it's not as good as Sega or Capcom's disney games, but it's still good and has amazing visuals.

However, the one real stinker of the Mickey games is Fantasia for Genesis.

what a funny coincidence, I just bought that game blind, figuring it was almost certainly pretty good
