Seriously, each episode following the boy trainer and his pals from Pokemon School as they fight Team Rocket and the Team Skull bullies has been indistinguishable from the others. Their characterization is dreadful; their screentime is terrible. As I watched, I noticed that every time a girl had the focus, the animator drew instead that the character with a "suggestive pose" or a new outfit.

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time a scene of nlatant fanservice was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Matsui's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Sun & Moon by tumblr. They wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are watching Sun & Moon at 9 or 10, then when they get older they will go on to watch Keit-ai." And they were quite right. They were not being ironic. When you watch "Sun & Moon" you are, in fact, trained to watch Keit-ai.

I just have nightmare flashbacks back when AG and DP were airing. Misty fans on forums would constantly claim how "competent and experienced" Misty was as a battler, and how May and Dawn didn't know what they were doing or lost their battles or had "weak" pokemon.

Of course they were mostly judging May/Dawn on the very beginning of their runs when they lost most battles or didn't have more experience yet. But they still did it for years. Now people will think Misty is so strong and that May and Dawn are weak. All those years of defending the characters on the forums was for nothing.

Yes and he made the anime a shonen action show which was good.

Yajima was only 28 years old in 2013 when XY started. He was basically a fan who grew up with the OS and got to work on the show. He basically did with the anime what all every one of us wanted to see it become, a action/shonen series with Ash winning a league and scoring a girl. Of course due to the show never-ending they couldn't go that far, but it was nice to see it for a while.
