Just got the Fog Badge (Glazed has Johto do the Gyms in a different order than normal).

Used Compound Eyes Sleep Powder shennanigans with Butterfree to keep totem wishi asleep till I got it to stop schooling, though I did have a close call with totem wishi taking butterfree down to 18 HP with a water gun, though it then decided to use Soak, which made water gun a lot less of a threat

Whelp, lost Torracat to the Totem Lurantis battle, killed Lurantis itself in a few turns, but it got Torracat down to yellow with a Power Herb Solar Blade, then Pikipeck killed him with a crit pluck

Though, this also lets me put a water type on the team, which is pretty good since most of my team is weak to rock/ground, and Olivia is up next.

I'm gonna do a BW2 Randomized Nuzlocke sometime soon, but there's one thing I'm deciding upon regarding Legendaries.

The Randomizer I use for Randomlockes gives me an option to not allow to find Legendaries in the wild or in a Trainer's team, and I would always leave it as is because I like to screw myself over, like when I encounter a Legendary on the first try and I can't catch it because I don't allow them in my team. But I'm wondering if that's overkill? Especially in a game like BW2 where there's a ton of them and I'm more likely to encounter one. And since I'm also going to cheat the game so that I can unlock Challenge Mode at the beginning, I would have to do more grinding than ever if I come across one in somebody's team.

tl;dr, should I make things easier on myself and disable the option for Legendary Pokemon to appear in the wild and Trainer teams?

First-timer here, I thought I might as well share my wacky White 2 Randomlocke adventures. I started a few hours back and I cheated the game so that I can set it to Challenge Mode. Wish me luck!

So my starter was Empoleon, which I was really stoked about because he's my favorite Pokemon. There was also Electrode and Swoobat, but I didn't like them as much. It has been fairly easy thus far, although there were a few Trainers with a Shedinja. Pretty much everything all of my encounters so far have been caught, except for a Claydol which Teleported away. I'm gonna grind for the second gym now.

Small update from guy doing the fanfic romhack nuzlockes. Lost my Gyarados due to a ranom digimon having thunderbolt when I didn't expect it to. Also this fanfic now features pokemon, digimon, DC Comics, Game of Thrones, Mass Effect, Dark Souls, and Resident Evil.

I don't know why everyone complains about the B2W2 earlygame so much. I even picked the worst starter, and the only battle that gave me trouble all game was that Dunsparce outta nowhere on route 20.

Sure, my run would have been screwed if I had gotten stuck with a (15% chance) Patrat as my catch in Virbank, but so far the only hard part of the game is sitting through this fucking useless Pokestar Studios tutorial cutscene garbage.

I just got to outside of Chargestone, Elesa completely fucked me over as both sandile and gigalith went down to crit electro balls. lost pignite at the rotation battle, wasn't paying attention and ate a crit psybeam to the face.
Team is: Cinccino, Audino, Azumarill, Ducklett. No catches left, not using N's Zorua. Also, Audino learnt Fire Punch. Hopefully Clay isn't too bad, but I'm predicting at least one casualty. Time to grind.

BW2 early game can suck because Route 19 + some catches in Flocessy are fairly weak. In Challenge mode, Cheren can end your run.

Just as I properly start this game, I catch a jumpluff. Not bad, I say to myself, this is something I can work with.

I go into my next battle and lead with Delicacy. First Pokémon is a Growlithe. 3 Charge Beams later, it is taken down.

Next Pokémon is a Floatzel. I take this time to heal up Delicacy. Guess what? Sonicboom! Now neither mon can only live 2 Sonicbooms, and neither are faster than the Floatzel.

So now I am down a Jumpluff. Lovingly named Hayfever. RIP

For me personally, I have been put in a position a couple time where I knew I would have to sacrifice SOMETHING to a hyperfang before the end of the fight, so it became a lot of awkward decision making. Psuedo legendaries are fine if they're your first encounter in a route. I'd have been sunk in my Y run without Garchomp. As for trade evos, most people say if you have the capacity, you can do them, others say you have to leave them unevolved. Up to you there.

That's why I hit random on near everything, it's White 2, but since familiar things like stats and moves have been altered completely, it feels like a new game.

Found out Hugh has a stantler that's ground or part ground, since electric type Hex did nothing. Similarly, Brave bird is ghost type now.

Also new catch. Frost Breath is physical, 60/70. Signal Beam is special, 80/100 and Ice Shard is special, 80/100.

A template would probably be difficult since I will be writing out stats of altered moves and adding screenshots to show new stats. Maybe a pastebin and imgur album would work? Or is there another alternative?

Note to self: Don't ever let Krookodile get a Moxie boost.

So ends my Theta Emerald run. Things started going downhill when my disgustingly overleveled Joltik (who tanked so well with an everstone that I never felt the need to evolve him, just gave everyone Volt Switch and ran a merry-go-round between him, Plusle and Ampharos) got destiny bonded out of nowhere by one of Winona's trainers, and I then kept losing guys left, right and center before the run-in with that Krookodile.

In honor of him, the next run will be without evolutions, if it's caught evolved it's fine game but nothing evolves while in possession. Let's see how this goes.

Well, I tried and saw, and have to say that the super randomized White 2 nuzlocke is a failure.

Twins Lia and Lily had a Drapion with fucking Wonder Guard, and none of my attacks had any effect on it. Sat back and watched as it head smashed, v-created and grass pledged Gracie and Menashe to death, as my Route 20 and Floccesy ranch encounters were both knockouts.
