Just an update. Beat the Suntouched Gym which was easy enough. Lost Chubbz in the route afterwards. I caught Gregor the Timburr in the same route. Won't add him to the party yet. I'll see what happens though

I replaced Runner the Braixen with Leon the Riolu who sadly died through a lack of attention when grinding. So I put the Lara the Hippopotas back in the team.

Beat Flannery no problem. Headed to Normans Gym, Kurtes the Cranidos evolved into Kurtes the Rampardos! Then died the very next battle to a Zangoose Revenge crit. RIP big guy.

MOLDRON the Gardevoir has replaced him in the team. Let's hope I can put a stop to these cheap losses. Taking on Norman now.

Carrying on from flannery, I switched out Pecker the Swellow for Bulge the Swablu, and Worm the Dustox (might regret this) for Pickle the Numel. Caught a bunch of great dudes who may or may not see play if things go smoothly with Norman. Oh, and i also spent around 5 hours playing the slot machines to get enough money to buy flamethrower for Pickle. Worth.

On Omega Ruby Ive had two chances to catch a Tailow. Both chances ended with a one shot from a critical hit. Funny how I get useless crits now but when Ill need one, it just wont happen.

Lost my Butterfree and A-Grimer to totem Vikavolt in my moon locke, filled one team slot with the Torkoal I caught at blush mountain, unsure what to put in my 6th slot. Current team is A-Persian, Fearow, Torkoal, Drifblim, and Whiscash. Weiner took down Norman (and survived a focus punch from his slaking). Unfortunately i killed my catch in New Mauville (a voltorb), and given the extreme lack of electric types from here on out, i now can't afford to have minun die. I'll have to get him stronger for winona. I'm also starting to doubt the power of Johnson, I never ever use him, and when i do, he almost dies to the smallest special attack.

So I restarted the super randomized White 2 w/o recording progress in case I got killed by any more surprise wonder guards, and it is a hell of a run, peppered with deaths. Not knowing what you're going to run into has kept me on my toes, especially with the new typings.

Highlights:
Caught a Steel/Psychic Reshiram with Shed Skin in Virbank Complex that's pretty much my mvp and was at one point my only mon. Stats don't seem to be too different from regular Reshiram.

N's male Grass type Zorua with Magic Guard evolved into a female Poison/Ghost Weavile with Wonder Guard. Still managed to have a few scares with it.

Chargestone Cave, my latest trek, took 4 pokemon from me and gave me the shiny Heracross pictured. It's now her, the Reshiram and N's Wonder Weavile.

Move stats:

AW YEA got my modest sharpedo finally (had to go through 7 other sharpedos to get him). Everything has been smooth sailing from Winona, whose Altaria was pretty tough, but not impossible with Phallus the Azumarill. Unfortunately she had to be replaced, both because of the horrible nature, bot also because i need a dark type against the E4, who can also learn ice beam. Bulge and Johnson evolved, and with that, my team is just about ready for the psychic gym. I think I'll use Sharpedo and Johnson, who'll use Shadow ball against Solrock before it can use solar beam. I'll have to equip them with a couple of chesto berries to avoid Lunatone's hypnosis though. Weiner is a fucking beast as expected (116 attack), so i'll have to keep him alive at all costs. He's one of my only counters against Steven's cradily.

Keep Zigzagoon. Skitty only evolves via moon stone and even then, Delcatty is trash (65/55 attack/defense and special attack/defense). Zigzagoon has early Headbutt and Pickup, and Linoone is better statwise.

While on that topic, N's Wonder Weavile wound up dying on Route 14, proof not even WG can help you against the wiles of Nuzlocke. The catch rates in this run are insane, I have actually run out of balls trying to catch some 'mons, of the ones that haden't died to OHKOs.

When I do manage to catch something, I have to slap an exp share on it because I have lost a ton of pokemon while grinding, including the shiny Heracross from the last post. I have over a half filled death box and nothing in the other boxes, and my current team consists of only three. I fully expect to challenge the E4 with nothing but the Steel/Psychic Reshiram.

And then almost everything died in the rival battle, I wasnt ready for protean greninja and the crits/burns didnt help out either. Thankfully Ranger managed to paralyze Absol with a Discharge which allowed Sage to finish it off, otherwise Im pretty sure the lock would be over.

Scout (Drifblim) died to a crit Rock slide from a heracross right before the gym battle and then against Korrina I lost 3 pokemon because I was too stupid to realize Pangoro´s sucker punch was out of PP, Sage just ohkod everything else. I find it funny that I had 2 fairy mons but neither at any point learned a single fairy type move, not even a fairy wind. Good thing Im getting a free mega lucario and lapras soon.

after some delay, finally made it to the elite 4, everyone trained up to the level I want them to be (and no I'm not powerleveling, E4 pokemon are 76 in this game)

Victory road was actually fairly challenging, between the gauntlet of 4 weather teams (solar powered charizard blast burn almost took out samaritan, hung on by 3 hp), the general high levels and that one very friggin' scary double battle where both opponents had 6 pokemon I'm surprised we made it through without casualties.

mostly happy that Hungry actually made it to the E4, the improvements this hack made to it are fantastic, GF take notes please.

fun hack overall, E4 had neat teams and some scary ass strategies and quite honestly if I hadn't gotten as high of a powerlevel team as I did I might not have made it, EV training was most definitely necessary (and thankfully made easy by the hack giving you the EV boosting items as well as a virtually infinite supply of the EV modding berries) and a good number of otherwise useless pokemon were given a boost to keep them useful (vanilla dustox would have never swept up Shauntall)

I have a Carbink called Roadhog now and this thing is unkillable, only takes 1-2 damage from attacks most of the time. On my up the volcano now and my encounter was magby. Motherfucker called in over 10 other magbys before its call for help failed and I was allowed to finally throw a pokeball. Failed, then had to kill another 6 before getting another chance. Good thing Roadhog could tank all the firespins.

Made it across Nugget bridge, with the Rocket Grunt at the end giving me my first death. Golbat Wing Attacked Harlaus, one shotting it.

Bump from the dead.

Bumping with progress. Started a nuzlocke of Theta Emerald EX (Emerald 751) tonight. Quick recap:

Chose Mudkip, got very fortunate scooping Zorua up on route 101. Route 103 cop was Purrloin, 102 was a Lotad. I didn't have any interest in training Lotad so I boxed it for the B-team, and worked with Zorua, Purrloin, and Mudkip for a while.

West of Petalburg on the beach, I copped a Scatterbug, and lost my Purrloin to a critical hit off a Taillow. It felt bad; took my frustration out on the grind with Scatterbug. Ended up boxing Vivillon before the first gym for the B-team as well. Forgot to add her to my box on pic related, sorry..

Caught a Cottonee in Petalburg forest, boxed it with little interest. Ran straight up to route 116 to try my luck and see what all my options would be going into the first gym--caught a Litleo there, and was fortunate to catch a Gastly inside the whismur cave.

Currently I am grinding my A-Team, Marshtomp, Gastly, Litleo, and Zorua--in preparation for the first gym battle. I want to be overprepared because I worry that Brawly will give me trouble what with Litleo and Zorua being weak on Dewford... Aiming for Lv. 20 across the board before badge 1, and Lv. 30 before I touch Brawly.

Well I turned it into a Jolteon and it instantly got one shot by a magnitude 8 from a diglet that ambushed me in that area near the grass trial. Luckily Winston the Gyarados was able to solo the lurantis totem and castform. Thank god I had taught it protect. Just made it through Diglet cave and currently have Gyarodos(Winston), Golbat(Hanzo), Dartrix(Reaper), Sudowoodo(Lambert), grimer(Mei) and a freshly caught luvdisc(Triss).

Your early encounters were pretty boring so saccing them won't matter if you can get through the next few gyms. BW2 are horrible to nuzlocke until you get to Castelia City as you can just get fucked with lame encounters, and everything good early on is either in Floccesy Ranch or Virbank Complex. On my fourth attempt, I finally beat Roxie. I was beating Cheren easily, because I could just spam Growth on Snivy while he was using Work Up, then outspeed all of his mons to win the setup war (I'm >>33521035). The problem with this was that I had to get a good capture in Virbank AND train it up to level ~19, or else my game was probably bust.

This time I tried something different: I decided to let the shitmons carry me. Watchog actually has better base stats and a better move pool than anything else available in the B2W2 early game, including the mid-evolution starters.

I had to use Snivy for the first gym (because Patrat doesn't learn anything helpful in time for it), but I skipped all of the optional fights in Flocessy ranch, so that their trainer XP would be leftover for Patrat later. Even with this and all of the battles on Route 20 + Virbank Complex, I was still at level 18 before facing Roxie (Patrat evolves at level 20), so I had to run round in the grass for what felt like forever to kill 4 Audinos before I was ready to challenge the gym.

The fight against Roxie itself was ezpz: 3x Work Up -> drink some water -> 1HKO everything with Return. I didn't even burn my Pecha Berry until the last turn, on Whirlipede's Poison Point.

I probably won't even use this thing as soon as I reach Castelia, just because Illuminate is such an obnoxiously bad ability.

Watchog can last surprisingly well until around Chargestone Cave, then after that should be benched. That said, you need to evolve Snivy ASAP now that Roxie is over.

My Castelia captures were surprisingly bad (Grimer, Rattata, Woobat, ~Calm~ Sandile) so I'm training Growlithe right now.

Caught an Ekans on the route before Cerulean City. Grinded it to level 15, went to take on Blue, and then his Pidgeotto one shotted it. RIP InMyBoot. The second member to be taken, and the second to be taken by Blue.

Added Tarley to my Party as well. Going to be grinding him before the gym

Sure you can, if you haven't banned legendaries or encountered something else on Route 16. Besides, Zydoge isn't even broken. It's really frail and base 100 attack isn't fantastic anymore. I managed to assemble it to 50% and then still lost anyway.

Goldenrod City reached. The route was long. I got a Psyduck but I almost lost against youngster Samuel because Psyduck was low-level, Spinarak paralyzed and Ghastly only know ghost-type attacks.

Then I catched a... Ditto ! I hope I'll keep it until the end.

My mt. Pyre catch was Shuppet. I'd rather have Dusclops since I've never used it, but w/e. Kecleon and Doduo are also added. Decided to keep Skitters instead of swapping him out for Kekleon.

About to raid Lilycove Hideout, sadly Wurmpo has perished.

On the plus side Lipa evolved! Waited a level so he learned Energy Ball faster

My Black 2 randomized Nuzlocke is over, lost all my mons to Drayden who somehow still had a lvl 48 Haxorus that wiped me with Dragon Dance/Dragon Tail

Still was my favorite randomized nuzlocke ever, I did better than the last times and had slightly less dumb deaths than usual

About to assault Guzma's village, don't remember it being too difficult from the one time I've played before. Current team is Finn (Lumineon), Klefki (can't remember its name right now, it's new), Mei the Muk, Hanzo the Crobat, Winston the Gyarados, Reaper the Decidueye. The last 4 have been around since the beginning. They've taken turn saving my ass from wiping to totems.

I have to say though, I've never had such bad luck in a Nuzlocke. I almost have a full box of dead guys and 90% of them were from crits.

Caught a Golbat in Shoal cave, not what I expected but exactly what I need.

Also I'm really torn between Kecleon and Delcatty Kecleon outclasses Delcatty in every stat except for speed and defense, and she's 8 levels lower than Delcatty.
