Currently going through some of my old GBA Pokemon games, and I'm a bit bummed that I never had a chance to catch the event Pokemon when I was a youngster.
What's the best way to obtain event Pokemon in these games?
Gameshark

Inject. Always inject. Unless you're actually using a GBA. Then you use your phone as a GBA emulator and then you inject.

Do you know of any guides that go through this process? I am using an actual GBA console.
There's a rom of the FRLG Auroraticket distribution cart, so if you could somehow that up in a position where your gba can connect to it you can get a Deoxys.
Otherwise using a Gameshark to buy the event tickets ay a mart is your only method now.
Pretty sure the only way is through action replay these days. However I think you can get Jirachi through the Coloseum bonus disc if you're American or Pokemon Channel if you're European. Ho-Oh and Lugia can be found through Coloseum and Gale of Darkness respectively and transfered down. Think you need to cheat for the rest.

>he doesn't play on hardware
>he owns a smartphone
Disgusting.

you can send your game cartridges to pokemon if i remember and they will give you the events

This sounds like bullshit.

For Mew you need either a GBA flashcart, or DS flashcart with a DS with GBA slot, and the FireRed savefile used at Toys R Us in '06 to distribute Mystery Mew by direct trade.
Put the savefile and a FR rom on a flashcart, which will allow you to trade a Mew. Alternatively, with a save dump/inject program on a DS flashcart, you can load the Mystery Mew savefile onto a FireRed cart via Slot 2.
For Celebi, not realease outside Japan, so the process is complicated without a Japanese GameCube and the Japanese Colosseum Bonus disc. Easiest way is you need a GBA flashcart, and find a savefile online that has a Japanese Celebi, and trade it to your game.
For Jirachi, you need a GameCube, GCN-GBA link cable, and the Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disc. Works with Ruby and Sapphire carts, but can then be traded.
For Deoxys, you need a GBA flashcart and the Aurora Ticket distribution rom. Works with FireRed and LeafGreen carts, but can then be traded.

Are you even trying scrub?

It was true for some european regions for eons, but anon is an idiot, they stopped doing it long ago.

Oh, and considering Ho-oh and Lugia are technically event pokemon in Gen 3, unless you have Colosseum and GoD, you can distribute them with a GBA flashcart and the 10th Anniversary distribution rom.
As an alternative to any of these that may be to complicated, you could just get a savefile online that already has these and trade it to your game with a flashcart.
But if you don't give two shits about legitimacy, then GameShark all the way.

i'm sorry, i thought they still did it
Get an R4 and a Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite. Download GBA Backup Tool, make a backup of your saves, load them in a computer and then decide if you wanna use an emulator and GameSharks or inject with PkHex.

>10th Anniversary distribution rom.
does this trade in the pokemon themselves or give the tickets to get to the islandsto catch them?
>>33342595
Look up Glitzer popping. Other than getting an eReader, that's really the only way to get it without resorting to Gameshark.
>>33342782
The 10A rom sends the pokemon to your party.
The Aurora Ticket one allows you to go to the island in FRLG.

So it is possible to use PkHex on a GBA Cart?
>>33342595
Piggybacking on this.
So, I can get an NDS Adaptor Plus, send my Gen 4 save to PkHex, and load up a bunch of old event mons, right? And for Gen 3 event mons, I can do the same but have them defined as coming from Gen 3 via Pal Park, right?
Slightly related but I had two questions:
If I'm playing on VBA on my smartphone is there a way to evolve trade only pokemon? Also is there a good DS emulator for smartphones?
>>33344379
No, he's just telling you how to extract your GBA savefiles with an R4 and DS Slot 2, which you edit in PKHeX, then re-load it to your cart.
>>33344449
You know that there are online databases for the pkm and wondercard files?
>>33344579
Yes, that's what I mean by "load up." My main question is about handling Gen 3 mons by using the Pal Park label, so I don't have to get more tech to inject them into GBA and Pal Park manually to Gen 4.
>>33344619
you can just inject them directly into s/m
>>33344526
Is that going to fuck up my cart?
>>33342595
Use this glitch, it works on console too.
