Is Zapdos actually the comfiest bird to defeat? Articuno rips through most of it's counters and pseudos, and while Moltres gets shredded by rocks it still hits it's counters pretty hard if you don't dodge (which will happen thanks to lag).

I panic when fighting the other 2 birds. Not for Zapdos though.

That dps measurement is pretty fucking shite, it just does "(Damage/CD) +stab and attack bonus"

So if we just calculate it without stab and attack bonus
Thunder deals 100 damage over 2.4 seconds which is put as 41.67 dps
Thunderbolt deals 160 damge over 5 seconds which is put as 32 dps

But thunder only has the dps for 2.4 seconds, then it goes back to charge beam which is 8 damage every 1.1 seconds

So even if you got in a whopping 2 fast attacks after your thunder your total damage is only 116 after 4.6 seconds compared to Thunderbolt which is sitting at 160 after 5 seconds

1/1 zapdos and I just threw the ball at it with the berry, without any regard for curves, got them at first/second hit.

I had god aweful luck with Articuno (my favorite sadly) - somehow got nine Moltres - and today I got three Zapdos in a row (other raiders gave me dirty looks when they asked, but I told them it was all luck).

I just want one of each with IV over 90, so mission successful, I suppose. Is it just me or is Zapdos way easier to hit with a ball? Moltres was the worst.

If you use your mons according to type efficancy and swap them STABs, defensive typing and SE attacks are generally more important than DPS.

I don't agree. I have travelled to the city four times, three for articuno (I'm mystic) and caught one shit iv bird after 7 raids, 0 lugias, and again yesterday for 2 moltres raids (caught 0) and the rest of the day hunting kangas and unown (caught 2 shit kanga and 1 shit unown before I had to get the last train home). I went to same city for all articuno raids and kind of made a day of it, visiting bars etc. It cost a fucking fortune. Went to a different city for kangas, unown and moltres and had a really good time. The people were amazing, good looking, no fatty, sweaties, no annoying children and extremely helpful. It was fun, can't deny it. A lot of fun. The time spent travelling and the costs were absolutely atrocious though. Just. I can't keep doing this every week.

Got back from holiday and finally IV checked all my shit.

What should I power up? Not got anything powered at all currently, just been using my high CP mons to take weakened Gyms when I can.

Only got 227,007 stardust, not sure if that is a lot since I stopped playing for like half a year.

Only ones that caught my eye was the Abra, Totodile, Bellsprout, and Chinchou, the rest has sort of meh IVs or aren't really that relevant. If you're not a fan of Lanturn, keep it around but no need to power it up. Also remember that offense is king in this day and age where top gym defenders won't make the greatest difference, so having high Atk IVs are a priority (although that's always been the case since it also affects CP, not that that matters anymore).

It's practically my only raid stoey since I am a low level pleb with no strong Pokemon other than the off high CP Pokemon I caught wild.

Coming back from holiday and the travel is disasterous because we have to walk between stations at one of 3 changes (to save £90) and with a ton of luggage and no taxis available thats a fucking pain.

Anyway we get to one station and we are late so have to wait for the next train. I checked PoGo and I am JUST in range of the stations Gym, which surprised me in itself since it was the middle of nowhere with tons of stops and Gyms, must have had a dedicstrd Ingress player or two.

Started the Exeggutor raid alone expecting to be pilverised but there where 3 other people there with me. I didnt see anyone around so I assume at least 2 of them where spoofers (god bless you guys) and they pretty much carried me to victory.

Caught the Exeggutor and named him after the place he was caught. Sadly his IV's arent super great but he's by far the best I have right now.
