On point for all but Kasich. In retrospect, I should have made him Snorlax and Carson Musharna. He's just Farfetch'd because it was farfetched that he'd accomplish anything at any point.

Rubio is Porygon-Z in particular because of how he glitched out during one of the debates.

Literally every single one of these is either not something that Trump actually did (Trump didn't win those four special elections!), was done in a half-assed way, was blocked by the courts, was just cancelling an Obama-era regulation that hadn't even taken effect yet, was actually attributable to Obama (job creation is a lagging indicator), or is entirely speculative ("introduced a tax reform plan," yeah, sure, let me know when it gets anywhere). The absolute only thing of any lasting relevance that has happened so far was the appointment of Justice Gorsuch, and Trump deserves zero credit for that -- that was all Mitch McConnell, for obstructing Garland.

I'm sorry, but it's time to face it -- Trump is an utterly ineffective, impotent president. He may have been good at campaigning, but he's pretty fucking terrible at actually getting shit done. For a president with control of both houses of Congress to have accomplished so little is incredibly embarrassing.

His presidency is lame-duck less than a year in.

Republicans are fucking morons. They were a dog chasing a car for seven goddamn years and now have no fucking clue what to do now that they caught it. Who knew the answer to obstructing Republicans controlling the oval, senate, house, and Supreme Court would be goddamn Republicans.

If you elect a clown, don't be surprised when the circus follows.

Since this is the most leaky administration in history I am of the opinion that if something big was done it would have already been found out. I'm fine with them going on with the investigation I just don't think they will find anything. If the investigation failed to find anything would you consider that proof of you would still think it was there and we just needed to look for it some more?

Same. Pokémon is the one thing in my life that I actively work to keep politics out of. Yeah, Herman Cain quoting Pokémon 2000 in 2012 or shopping a MAGA hat on Pikachu or Gumshoos as Trump is all fine; but Bulbapedo putting out anti-Trump political press releases and political discussions breaking out on /vp/ and other Pokémon forums just feels so wrong on a deep level.

Honestly, it's why Hillary's "Pokémon Go to the polls!" line was so particularly appalling to me.

If we're going to have a Trump /vp/ thread (already a bad idea), can we just stick to funny pictures and direct Pokémon analogies?
>>
>>33162753
all news channels lie frequently, stop being naive
>>
>>33162766
>but Bulbapedo putting out anti-Trump political press releases
did this actually happen?
>>
>>33162685
Would I consider it proof?

Sure, I have faith in Mueller/his team and would accept the outcome of their investigation.

The problem is with the facts we do know. DJjr met with a Kremlin-linked Russian lawyer, Kushner and Manafort were present too, Russian(s) known to have ties to money laundering were also there. Why did that meeting take place? To exchange information damaging to Clinton. Ark east three people super close to the president met with Russians linked to the Kremlin and the Russian mob for political reasons. The president himself has, in the past also claimed to know Putin personally. One of the Trump sons has repeatedly said they have lots of Russian business ties. Pile on the firing of Comey because, as Trunp himself said, the 'Trump-Russia thing' and you have more than enough to go on while also adding in obstruction.
>>
>>33162753
>fox news has never lied
>>
>>33162778
You are trying to frame those events in the worse possible way in order to make them seem more than just "smoke" to the alleged fire that hasn't been found yet. For example, Trump in the past claiming to know Putin personally can be accurately framed as an international businessman trying to boost his importance in the public mind to bolster his brand. Also, Trump saying the "Trump-russia thing" could be accurately framed as a new president being mad that his FBI director did not publically say the things he said to him privately, which is that he wasn't under investigation at the time of his firing. Just wait for the investigation to run its course.

I'd be extremely suspicious of any president that fired an FBI director because if an on going investigation and even more suspicious when that very same president throws his AG under the bus for following protocol to recuse himself from an investigation.

Look, you obviously believe one thing. That's fine. I disagree with the sentiments you're trying to get across. its pretty clear we aren't going to convince each other either way. That's also fine by me. Regardless of the Russia stuff the original points still stand: less than a year in and he has a lame duck presidency and the Republicans, who had seven years to prep for full control, can't get a damn thing done.
>>
>>33162685
>Since this is the most leaky administration in history I am of the opinion that if something big was done it would have already been found out.

The lack of logic in this comment is dangerous. 'Leakiness' isn't binary, it's not a case of 'everything gets leaked' or 'nothing gets leaked'.

Pokemon is pretty leaky, as evidenced by the release of the past 4-5 years worth of games. That doesn't mean we knew about Sun/Moon when X/Y came out. Some things get leaked, others are closely guarded enough not to be leaked.
>>
>>33162989
>because if an on going investigation
there wasn't an ongoing investigation when he was fired. the investigation was prompted by his firing. that is what I alluded to in my post when I said trump was mad that comey wouldn't publically say he wasn't under investigation even though he said it to him privately multiple times.

>>33163012
the starters are the first things to leak about every time aren't they? that is what people consider the most important thing. I know this isn't an exact 1 to 1 with presidential administration leaks but still you'd expect the important stuff to come out early especially since he's firing people and throwing them under the bus often
>>
>>33163042
Trump HIMSELF was not under investigation at that time. That's the thing you're missing.

I don't think Trump is intelligent. At all. Some of the people around him though? Yeah. Smart enough to create an alibi for Trump or have someone else serve as liaison to any collusion.

Besides the logic behind the leaky administration is also flawed. not every member of the administration would be privy to that info unless Trump is dumber than anyone could imagine and have people gloating about it in the west wing. It likely doesn't go beyond Trump, his immediate family, Manafort, Flynn, and one or two others.
>>
>>33163081
>Trump HIMSELF was not under investigation at that time. That's the thing you're missing.
no it's not. I am talking about that. I know there was an investigation about russian involvement in our election but that isn't what his "trump-russia" comment was about after firing comey. it was about the public thinking there was an investigation into trump colluding with russia, which comey told trump there wasn't privately.

Fucking hell, you're retarded. There's absolutely zero evidence of it's existence beyond "well we have sources that say so even though we can't name them" and "one of the IPs was Russian," the second of which doesn't prove government involvement at all. Assange himself said that the people who leaked the info were not state actors.

Because the investigation has always been more than just the man himself.

There is evidence of collusion. DTjr has released one clear-as-day example of it.

But, again, you continue on the Russia stuff because you want to deflect from the other things (Lame-duck presidency and Republican failure) that you can't refute as "smoke" or "speculation."
>>
>>33163849
What is this example of collusion?
>>
>>33163872
Trump Jr., Kushner, and others in the campaign met with a Russian money launderer linked to Russian mobs and a Kremlin linked lawyer to discuss issues pertinent to helping then candidate Trump in the election.
>>
>>33163849
I really don't think you are understanding what I am saying. I am saying that much of the public believed that Trump himself was under investigation prior to firing Comey. Once he was elected Comey told Trump privately 3 times that he was not personally under investigation. Of course there was an investigation going on about Russian involvement in the election but that is separate. Trump asked Comey to go public with the statement that Trump was not personally under investigation and he did not even though he was telling him that privately. that is what he was mad about Comey about and that is why he wrote that Comey told him that privately in his firing letter, so that it would be public. Then he made the line about "Trump/Russia thing" which alluded to that.
>>
>>33163895
That is all smoke. The Jr meeting was at most a sign of evidence of intent to collude since there was actually no collusion that took place. The offer was that they'd have dirt on her but they didn't, so it wasn't collusion.
>>
>>33163895
Is there any source claiming this?
>>
>>33163926
D jr posted the emails on his twitter. That is how you know that there is nothing illegal about it or any collusion, because he posted it himself. the person you're talking to is trying to make it seem worse than it actually was. Especially since the emails make it clear that d Jr and co. were not aware of what other people would be at the meeting.
>>
>>33163915
The news isn't fake because you dislike it/doesn't line up with your world view. I sincerely hope you're playing dumb because this level of goalpost moving is unreal.

>>
>>33163926
Jr released the records himself on line and appeared on Hannity to address the situation.
>>
>>33163948
you're the only person here who cares about him being a lameduck. so what if he is. it's the claim that he colluded with russia that people actually care about. also, I never said fake news so idk what you're on about. I agreed with what you said in the post but disagree with the conclusion you draw from them. You say that they met with them to discuss issues about dirt on hillary and that is true, but what you leave out of your post is that they didn't have any dirt on her. they were just baited into going to a meeting and it ended up being about something they didn't care for, but you conveniently leave that out of your post to make it seem like they colluded
>>
>>33163984
Botched collusion is still collusion. Regardless, issues of the Russian sanctions were discussed (eg adoption). Which, only adds more kindling to the fire.
