When you think about it, extending the event actually nets Niantic more money overall than the mad scramble people did during the weekend crunch. Recovering their damaged reputation is only a fortunate sideeffect.

Probably also recovering their losses from the Go Fest fiasco. I've already spent nearly $100 these past few days. Been power leveling like Goku when he was flying to Namek, and I don't care because of all the levels and dust I'm accumulating that I know I'll never get to do ever again.

Okay I need an explanation for what happened here

You just do a little helix pattern on the screen. Actually, I think it might be called the "Fibonacci throw."

Here's a shitty mockup I've done to demonstrate what the throw looks like. It might take some practice, but it's the most reliable means of getting curveballs that I know of. You just do a tiny swirl and then throw it off to one side of the screen.

I just got back from a Lugia raid, I only had 6 premier balls, and somehow two of my curve balls just flew in the wrong direction.
It's frustrating but it got away because I missed more throws somehow, and this just never happens normally.
Oh well, I already have one that I'm really pleased with, and it's fun doing this with a group of people.

I mean, ultimately, these sort of guides can only do so much. It's only by going out and actually trying these throws that you'll learn the exact movement. And it also relies on how close/far the Pokémon is to you and all that junk -- for instance, I often have to do tiny curves (hardly bigger than my fingertip) starting from the far left/right of the screen to catch Pidgey or Rattata because they're so close, or for things like Zubats, you'll often have to extend the throw more than halfway up the screen. Most Pokémon only require you to use about a third of the screen for your throw.

Imo bugs in pogo should be much cheaper in evos and should have bigger cp jump. Kakuna -> bedrill should add at least 500 cp.

Today was a good day for me, I've managed to do both Articuno (my fourth) and Lugia (my first) raids.
And somehow I managed to capture both.
Although Articuno is 15/10/10 with Ice Beam and Lugia is 13/13/11 with DT/FS.

Last week, I tried taking down a Gym, but whenever I was about to deal the finishing blow on a Pokémon with its final points of motivation... the fight just stopped. Timer kept running, the enemy Pokémon stopped attacking, his Health depleted but never fainting, mine could keep attacking but to no avail and there was no way to end the fight. It happened many times in a row. I finally gave up, it could happen, I said, nothing impossible for this game.

However, the same thing just happened, and what most catches is that not only the owner of the bugged Pokémon is the same one I found last week, but also that the cheeky fucker, being as subtle as a brick, left a low CP Pikachu, like he knew he wouldn't be kicked out.

Anyone experienced similar issues?

No, but I did find a glitch where crashing and rejoining a battle JUST as a raid boss dies makes you stuck in the battle with it because the game thinks its still alive. If you exit, you still get the rewards for beating it, but you don't get to catch it. The game thinks you failed the attempt, so you can try again with another group on the same raid pass.

In theory, if you could figure out how to trigger this reliably, you could use it to farm candies and TMs on a single raid pass. However, it would require someone else using a raid pass an beating the Pokemon every time, so it's pretty worthless.

I'm so happy /vp/. I was convinced pogo was dead in my city.
I went to a 1* raid just to try to solo it and when I join the lobby I see 3 other people in it. The only 3 other people to play this goddamn game in my town... and they're all Instinct like me. It's a fucking miracle. They could have tried this raid at any other time of the 2 hours it was up and we somehow bumped.
They were getting ready to go home since they had no battery left, too, and I pulled out my powerbank. We played for 2 more hours.
