You can get one raid pass per day.
If you have a pass from a previous day and use it, you can then obtain another pass from a gym's photo disc.

This means you could do two raids in one day for free, if you didn't do a raid the previous day at least. Helpful if you don't want to do a raid because it's a shit one or none happened or whatever.

I thought lvl 3 was easy mode. I thought my army of 15atk, high level MS/EQ-SE Rhydon were up to the task.

How wrong was I. Lost 100 hankebucks on nothing.

High level/hardcore players were fucked by the new update.
Lower level players are being given a chance to get rare, strong Pokémon and avoid the grind for moves.
Anyone wanna correct me here?

Clearly there's been a big shift in the demographics of players now, but I wonder in which way exactly? I see the team balances have completely changed. Instinct went from being near non-existent to taking over most gyms in my town. Which, nicely enough, doesn't last, so you see all colors come and go.

Soooo... am I missing something here? With the new gym system I have just walked to fully occupied gyms, with much higher level players, and taken them down solo within minutes with minimal item use.

Gyms are basically glorified pokestops now, getting them to gold badges will benefit in having more items per spin and thats literally all.

Is it just me, or does leveling up your badge help you take down the gym from opposing teams faster? I kept hearing you needed to battle the same Pokemon like 6 times, but from my silver badged gyms I only need to fight them three times.

I could gather 70 a day under the old system if I was fast enough and it didn't depend on the gyms not stagnating (my espeon has been on a gym for over a day now).

2 days to do an extra raid is a joke, I'd sooner pay like £6 a month to have unlimited access to raids, yes you heard mem I would sooner pay a subscription for premium raid access than pop 80p worth of coins for 1 more raid.

This system sucks, half our coins per day and then magically rescind the "premium raid passes grant you access to additional raids for a day!" part of their announcement while no one is looking.

This is still completely dependent on opportunity though, if any gyms have an opening. That's the biggest flaw of this system, you can't work to secure your place in a gym, you can only defeat enemy gyms.

Higher CP Pokemon lose motivation faster so you usually want stuff below 3k sitting in the gyms to maximize time. That is, unless the change to 1 Hanke per 10 minutes instead of hours means it just no longer matters.
Ideally you leave stuff mid 2k in the gyms and use your 3k Pokemon to clear them out.

What I don't understand is this ass-backwards gym system. There is no point to having multiple things in gyms with the 50 coin cap, and there is no incentive to ever feed your pokemon berries or else they might stay there for days and do you absolutely no good.

As it stands now, the most efficient thing to do is plop a couple of shitmons in a gym every day and hope they last ~4 hours, but not any longer than that.

It's just encouraging people to make alt accounts and shave more often since you have absolutely no control over getting your pokemon back.

Went to my first raid tonight, brought down a 4 star Snorlax. Didn't get a good moveset nor did I get any TMs, but overall cool feature. You need support though, did the same like an anon before and tried taking down a 3 star Jolteon, it completely schooled me.

My first raid had these retarded team lines drawn, where the Valor and Instinct both hated each other. They all seemed to already know each other too and have issues with the other side.
I am a Mystic and I partied up with the Valors, I think they hated me too but they wanted more people in their party.

They were "good" defenders with the old gym system because their CP was high enough to get the higher spots in gyms, even though they got trashed by any decent Vaporeon. Both Sceptile and Breloom deserve mention as they're both offensive grass types more similiar to eggman in terms of attacking stat.

Ludicolo is another vape counter with good bulk. Several pokemon sit at about 2300cp at max which under current gym mechanics is pretty good.

Armaldo and relicanth both get over 2500cp, making them decent too, Armaldo might actually be a good defender because outside of water it's not getting hit SE very often.

Fuck, now I just want gen 3 so I can train some more favourites like a karenfag in addition to the meta beasts.

Gen 3 + double stardust event is what I want the most from this game, aside from making the raid pass more lucrative to actually buy.
