I don't think they would do that the Pokemon franchise always brings money, so the console that end up having the main series games, becomes a pokemon playing machine, it would be a real dick move to make a new portable console just for pokemon and i doubt that could happen

Well it wouldn't be that. You could play any of the switch games on it.
They come in the little stick form after all.
And if you can play the game on the go without it needing to be attached, what's the problem there.
The issue with purchase of the switch right now is the thing is to unwieldy, and for the price of it I would never risk taking it out with me on my daily routines. Where as the 3ds, even the XL fits in my pocket, and can fold itself up so my keys won't grind on the screen.
