Guzma is good, not spammable by any retard like Lysandre, but in the right situations it can be even better, though in others it can be worse. I think it's a more fair card than Lysandre itself.

Lunala is probably all you'll need in terms of theme decks.

Just finish all of trainer challenge and spend your tokens on packs and theme tourneys.

Look at the guide and move on from there.

Theme decks are for starting out, do not go to standard until you can make a deck that can compete with meta decks. Best advice is try building Greninja.

Also look at pokeyoutubers like tablemon, omnipoke, or teamfishknuckles for guides on what is a meta deck and how to team build.

Dark Integral is a meme machine deck maker and while he isn't absolutely horrible he will get you into liking bad cards and making bad decks in the long run.

Tablemon as a counter example makes good decks, does recaps of recent regionals, has been to worlds several times, won a regional recently, goes to many regionals and often day 2s, already qualified for worlds and top seed in Central America.

TeamFishKnuckle doesn't have as much of prestige of Tablemon but he's consistent content maker and makes decently good decks or at least netdecks good deck builds or good players give him deck lists to play.

Yellowswellow is pretty meme but at least he has decently good deck building when it comes down to it.

Someone should do a bug report about the fact that its impossible to get any new victory prize in a given day once you get past 4

Yellow Swellow is the best poke-tuber in terms of entertainment/skill balance. Only thing is he's really slow and likes to randomly shout memes but he's gotten better about it.

Teamfishknuckles is also pretty good.

Omnipoke and tablemon are too serious for me. I don't want to watch a 2 hour video discussing what decks are possibly good in the meta, sometimes I just want to watch a shitdeck beat up another shitdeck on PTCGO.

Thanks, there was originally a couple of stadiums in the deck but they were only viable for expanded so I may switch to that depending. Also the float stones are for Victini but I don't mind getting rid of them.

Float stones should be reserved for pokemon with 2 retreat or more.

Discarding one energy for a retreat is really not an issue, especially for a one prize pokemon.
And honestly Victini is bad in this deck to be honest, you have no attacks that flip on your final evolution so it'll be a dead card in basically every match.

Charizard's recall lets it do any attack from its previous evolutions. Charmander has playful which will allow Charizard to do 20x the number of damage counters on it but it has to get heads. Essentially Victini is doing the same thing as trick coin.

garb is great, assuming your opponent is an idiot. because they will use the 20 items their netdeck said they need to use, and now you are hitting for 400 for 1 energy and very little set-up.

There's also the fact that the presence of both those things in the deck is a huge boost to the reliability of the effect, and if you only have rainbow energy to do it suddendly it's much harder to pull off.
