Seems like this is the only event thus far who has favored rural players, barely saw any grass mons while in town but caught chikorita, exeggcutes, sunkerns and whatnots when I went to areas where pokestops and gyms were more scarce.

There's wiggle room to call botting in this game or other games "wire fraud". By taking over gyms, they prevent casual players from gaining pokecoins. This boosts the need for in-game purchases. If you can't even advance very far or gain usable options to advance further faster, people would rather quit. Botting then, would mean that these people are not only reducing revenue for niantic, but also stealing it to some degree. Add in that people sell boosted accounts on fucking etsy (!?) and you have your workaround.

Investigate all botters as if they were committing wire fraud.

This goes double for games like WoW, where manipulating the in-game economy has real-world monetary consequences.

THe damage is already done, why do you think they just issued warnings to people instead of banning them? Because i could bet almost half of the "active players" are cheaters and banning them would literally kill the game.

The only way to "fix" the damage is

Turn based battle might be a good gym rework but doesn't really negate CP. What would negate CP is if higher leveled Pokémon always made it to the top, and we're ranked from lowest level to highest level. Why they have an invisible level system but don't implement it as a way to determine who goes first or last in order or of a gym is beyond me.

I don't know how I feel about this. Not so long ago, I played Go on a really shitty phone known for having a borderline unusable GPS. It jumped around so much, that I got softbanned rather frequently even though I was playing legit.

My new phone works fine, but I feel bad for the (I hope) few people in the same situation I was a couple of months ago.

I caught a Meganium in the wild and I've seen a fair number of Chikorita, Bulbasaur and Ivysaur.
