Overdrive is the first thing that comes to mind. I think it might also count energy bonuses? I'm not sure. It's also a huge beat stick. Basically a Deo-A with a shit tier ability (that you can get around with Pokemon swap or long jump) but a second half of the wheel that isn't utter ass.

Aside from the obvious shrinking the 70 gems piece from the bonus wheel, any reward box that has gems gives the glow that usually precedes 20/25 gems or a bonus wheel

I use them to grind gyms when I want to eat energy but need to or want to do something else. Or if I get called away half way through a battle for something important. I find them very useful for these reasons even if they aren't optimal.

Rhyperior isn't broken. I'd go Zek>Xerneas. You should also consider replacing Venusaur with a good runner if you have one since you probably don't want a 1mp alongside reshizek.

corphish could be useful too as a runner with his ability
(set him up to hurdle for an entry, opponent tries to attack him as he is pretty weak and he activates surprise back which moves him two spots closer to the goal without battling)

Fug doesn't seem worth it to me since he'll still eventually die to anything with a decent gold or confusion. The Fug Vs. Fug fight shouldn't really be happening. Gren was definitely the best choice and it should really pay off once you get to clv 4 and then clv 7.

Thinking about switching Job Frog for Zapdos since he's technically not getting any boosts from the gym and all the karps are technically rushers right now.

Also considering doing a more solid karp rush by adding hurdle jumps and maybe with a gastly or Shuppet for an extra goal blocker.

I really really hate this gym. Status effects seem to be the name of the game and I have 0 good gold attackers. My best is king penguin who is defensive and shit. I've had so many winning games that end in getting slept twice in a row and I have no way to deal with the sleepers.

Even worst with the Jewdism making it 40 points a match. I thought 40 was time was just because they were rerunning 'Karp as a prize.

Empoleon manages to be garbage even with 3mp, if the gold is the reason why its attack is so low (compared to Heatran), just remove it.

Or sure, Hetran has to go back to the bench, but at least it can move freely once sent normally, at least make Empoleon's ability an optional damn.

My theory is that they kept raising the energy requirement until tankers realized it was no longer worth it. When it only cost 20 energy per match it was extremely easy to bomb into the 1,000s. Now if you waste your time you aren't getting any rewards.

I can't think of any other reason for those posts. The game has very few balancing problems as of right now, at least compared to the state of the game since the US launch (and a bit before that too). Things are accessible, sexpacks are back, we have orange boosters and gyms with welfare prizes that aren't half bad, the list goes on.

The only genuine complaints with the game are the 40-energy gym cost and the lowered gem rate, but those aren't deal-breaking issues.

Eh even with the fall of Deoxys-A, there's been a rise of other Gyarados and rain (so you have a similar dilemma to the Deo-A trying to out C Lv each other in the old meta). Reshiram is still around too. I feel like you can't go wrong with having a really strong Gyarados since it's a great counter to other Gyarados, and you can still win a bunch of matchups with the weaker Gyarados (111 on its own is great and barely anything still beats 131, most high ladder Deo-A users have theirs over 132 C Lv anyways). A C Lv 3 Gyara is also even more useful outside of water decks if you decide to use it in another build

imo I think this is the best team you can come up with given your current figures I'll explain below.

Whimsicott is your main runner, you'd use him to take out things that are annoying and could kill you such as Mew (give or take) run a double chance if you do, Shuppets and low attack runners. He'd also be used for his crazy defense purple and two huge dodge wedges and 0 miss at lv 5.

Shuppet is your sub runner and troll surround kills it would allow you to be able to take out figures and opponent's if they aren't paying too much attention. If you can lock down a entry point then you've pretty much finished Shuppets role until the goalie moves since it can bypass any figure in its way (minus the Ralts family).

Vibrava is whatever fits the situation best, it can be a really good defender on goal or stalling for backup figures or you can go all out if you can get him one space away from your opponent's entry points, this is all thanks to his amazing ability. which stops all opposing figures passing him using MP; so you can cheese some sneaky surround kills, trick your opponent into using a plate or rushing into your opponent's goal if you get some good luck.

Is it just me or is Water Gym the cancerest gym yet? Double Manaphy and Gyarados stop me from getting higher than a 2-win streak? Or am I just bad?

Well so far my gym team of manny, 2 vapes, lapras, frog, and poliwirl has gone 3-1.

My league team of shup, wimsy, goth, vibra, crobat, and squirt has gone 4-1.

Fairly decent there just still some match ups i cant win rigjt now. I basically have to use my speed to play positionally and so far its mostly working out. There just still so many EX mons that rape these guys when it comes to damage.
