This deck is more about defensive positioning and an initial Shuppet rush because frankly he probably is the best 3 mp burner. Flareon is okay but he has a poor survival rate so he's not useful for huddling. Maybe if I were using Quillava>Typhlosion I would but I want to see how much mileage I get out of Flame Kinesis/Magma Slide + Area Trap. Also I have no Flareons.

What you want is to burn not survive, Flareon is great for that because it burns most of the time even if it dies and then you can quickly throw it again.

No. There's nothing amazing in the current booster, and nothing new to try out. Sceptile and the other new Grass guys are okay figures at best, they were really pushed into the meta by being Deoxys counters...but Deoxys is dead so there's no real reason to buy this pack.

Save all gems and tickets for next month.

If I have 4000 material should I use it to craft a Zapdos if I don't have one? I need something good to replace deoxys A on my team. My other good figures I use are Ho-Oh, Mew, Greninja, and Moltres. My only fear is that I use my material and then something better comes out and I can't craft it

Its got a unique ability that can deal with figures blocking your entry point or taking to take your goal, its got a gold attack to attack heavy purple users if used effectively and that frozen buff if it dies is a great insurance incase your opponent would take out your Empleon

Everyone keeps saying deoxys is dead now and that they're replacing theirs but is it not still one of the best stand alone figures in the game? The addition of Wait upon benching hardly seems like the straw to break its back, it's just way less broken than being able to immediately jump back into position.

Deoxys A by itself was never the problem, it was always Cosmo Energy forcing cheap Deoxys S rushes. And now, Deoxys A has to be careful when respinning around 2 Star Purple figures because it can no longer force ties with Dimensional Slip.
It's not a nerf in the traditional sense, the devs are just forcing people to be more strategic with Deoxys A rather than brute forcing wins like before.

yveltal works well with other dark mons, alone isnt really going to help you much, sometimes can even fuck you with the drain wind. Just replace latias with another runner, using latias is really risky. Help me /vp/ I have no idea what will I use in the water gym. I usually use a latios and latias in my room deck, but I really want to take this gym seriously. salamance is my favorite figure but I feel like I have to let it go

Taking gyms 'seriously' is hard because gym metas are usually a lot more centralized and you usually need a very specific team to really climb the ranks.

Not sure what your rares are but I'd definitely use Virizion and Palkia. Gren is still a good runner even if it won't be getting any MP boost. Ho-Oh and Heatran are also worth considering, Ho-Oh because of its ability to give you the numbers advantage, and Heatran for entry control + the giant purple which threatens common rain attackers like Palkia and Gyarados

A lot of tards love to spend money on this game. Best you can do is get figures the old fashion way with daily gems and whatnot. I haven't dropped a cent on this game and I think I've peaked at about 1950 or so. Everyone I face uses the same 10 or so EX figures. There is no variation at all. I was even surprised that Floatzel was in the game because I've never seen its figure before. Everyone uses the same 5 or pre-made decks too.

Yes, there are counters, but before tropical energy, they were incredibly difficult to kill even with "counters" like Zapdos or Deoxys-A. Counterplay involves more than figures regardless, the fact that Reuni can easily win "unfavorable" matchups via respins, bruteforce to goal, or easily timestall are all examples

It's shit now and was easily beatable in tropical energy meta but the figure design itself is cancerous and deserved the nerfs it got after the initial launch
