It's possible, but it might get hard. The last times I took mons to Snorlax was when they were close to max, and with a tapper to help against the block disruptions. Ampharos takes about as much playtime for 10% less XP.

Point is, neither of them are worth it you can beat survival mode. And even survival mode might not always be worth your time. Keep in in mind it takes about 16-19k XP to raise a mon from level 1 to 15, and slightly more than that again to go from 15 to 20.

It's better than it ever was (except for the short time of double Victini per week), but it's a stupid timesink for stuff you don't absolutely need maxed. It's best to rely mainly on free Victini runs. Saving up survival mode rewards can come in handy when you absolutely need a mon maxed for the same week (e.g. for comps)

Don't obsess over maxing shit you don't absolutely need right now. Going beyond Lv. 15 is retarded except for some abilities like Risk-Taker and Nosedive

The competition is literally decided over 80% rolls on Super Bolt 2.0, even though in other circumstances it would just be the same trigger rate for a trivial skill like Power of 4+. In this case however its over five-matches which are not as easy to set up. If it retains the effect from the game, it would be absolutely busted. 75% of a stage's remaining hp is definitely nothing to shake a stick at. They'd either have to nerf it to deal less %health damage, or make the activation cost insanely high, which probably won't be that bad once we get Z-Speedups.

It literally only loses to Tyranitar (15) and ties with Aggron (13, but needing only 5 MSU to max). Banette and Salamence are 12 each; Ampharos and Aerodactyl takes 9 each.
Heck, even Gengar is above average with its 10 now that the 6~9 tier became crowded from what used to be slow megas (Altaria, Sableye, Sharpedo, Steelix, Latios...)

Mfug is literally one of the best investments you can make. It works on nearly all stages as a mega, it's the requirement for hundreds of S ranks unless you want to have a painful time, and it can make barrier stages completely trivial. It's also usually a leading reason of getting high ranks in competitions and is usually the go-to for escalations. There's no reason not to spend the 20.

I miss this great game, but I'm probably better off without it.

How far are you on the main stages? Having all the megas from there is good, M-Aggron is great to have. You can go for Expert stages as soon as you want, the first ones are very easy. Then, focus on unlocking Yveltal and Mewtwo, and after that, get enough S-Ranks to unlock Gallade (check the S-Ranking guide in the OP to see how many they need).

You level up the pokés you need. As you advance on the main stages, you will get better mons, and based on the current competitions, escalations and Special Stages, you will decide what to level up using Victini.

Yes. I don't have much to talk about, I'm just sitting here grinding Narutoad, gonna do some Deer God grinding too. I'm feeling pretty fucked for this competition. The dream team is M-Heracross, Scizor, Xerneas and Poke Ball Vivillon but I only have five MSU left in the bank to give the mega bug and my team will probably only be level 10 when I do my full items run. It doesn't help that C-1 being required means I can't afford throwing away multiple runs. Competitions have been really rough on me lately, I used to always be in top tier before the prizes increased to more than 1 enhancement, then I usually placed 2nd or 3rd tier afterward but last one I only made 4th tier.

That's why you catch them all pal. Never would have thought that I would use winking shitmons but have already used both Audino for Mission cards and Manaphy for two comps already. Back in the day Machamp was barely worth it with Eject and I think base 70 and look at it now. The same with Angrychu, Magmortar, Electivire and many others that have been required to do something in some stage, you just don't know so better get that cat beaten because you need to catch them all. As some anon already mentioned it's even in the rules.

Small reminder that Heracross only needs 7 candies to evolve in 1 turn if MB+ activates.

MB+ triggering is additional 6 icons to mega evolve. You match 3/4 icons and thats already enough.

Hera needs 8 icons if fully candied. If you miss giving her 1 candy she needs 9 icons (3 from intial match +6 from mb+).

There is almost no difference between giving 7 candies or 8 candies. Only legit one would be if in barriers, and even thats a very small one
