I really, really don't think Moon, someone who got her shit slapped by Team Skull and couldn't beat wild fucking Spearow, can win against Gladion and Null. Just impossible. The final will be either Sun against Gladion, the battle being the introduction of Sun to Gladion, or Guzma against Gladion. But considering Sun beat Kukui with ease, I doubt Guzma stands a chance. En is damaged though, so that might be a bit of a problem, but I still doubt he'd lose. He's the one who wants to win the most.

On the other hand, Gladion is even edgier. I like that. I was hoping he'd be more chuuni in a funny way, with edge mixed in, but I'm okay with max edge slowly becoming mellow too. I'm disappointed with Hau though. While I like the Malasada deal, but that being literally all he ever talks about is a step down from his game counterpart. As for Lillie, no real opinion so far. I do think she's not as good as her game counterpart. She had low confidence in herself in the games too, but her first scenes showed her running from Aether and then working for Kukui. In manga, she's been only incompetent, nothing more. While this gives more room to grow, it seems like Kusaka doesn't want to focus on her, at least not yet.

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. Especially looking forward to UBs. Hopefully, we'll get to see a nice match between a fully evolved, Incineroar En and Buzzwole. And looking forward to seeing Sun use Machamp ride, if he ever does.

She might've, but it's not been shown or even been hinted. We know it happened because of the games. Lillie, as far as just the manga is concerned, is just a weak girl always crying. That's not what my first impression of her game counterpart was.
As for Sun and UBs, there's many ways they can fight. Sun is also shown to be pretty heroic, fighting Team Skull for Moon. He's especially serious if delivery or money in involved, even fighting Tapu Koko, and considering you get money for catching UBs, there's a pretty great chance he'll end up fighting UBs.

The main translator for the SM arc handled the translation and I only was in the background as someone who double checked his translation in parts that he was really shaky with.

The original line something in line of "I'm going to defeat you," but it was a lot more "rude" in Japanese standards. He was also really pumped considering the previous pages like he had excitement surging through him, so when I was checking the translation, I personally didn't see anything wrong with it.

We'll try to have dialogue more close to the original dialogue if we can.

It changed, and it wasn't something I ever expected a character in a Japanese media to say, but it got the point across just fine and the dialogue choice wasn't too out of character.
