i have problems against people who actually manage to rush my first or second rounder on the field and kill it, recovering from a single figure lost can be really hard, goomy and sliggoo can be a pain to deal with, vibrava as it is for antything, pretty much purple knockouts or confusion/paralize/burn

when you reach 3 rounders you feel confident enough to tank, and with 4 you fear nothing, no pords, no latis, even if you keep a 70 attack you can lose one figure already, at 250 you feel invincible, when you really aren't

Vibrava is going to take your entry point like 90% of the time so you just need to deal with it.

Its not impossible to win with only one entry point but strong Yellow attackers can pressure that Vibrava if you really want to take back that point. Zapdos and Pikachu R are pretty good options against Vibrava because they can also paralyze it and get rid of Dragon Breath if they get the chance. Mew is good too, but I'd be cautious just because Mud Shot beats Hyper Sonic and Shuttle Flip can be counter-intuitive

just went to town on a 2300s player who was I'm quite sure f2p and really unlucky , given his team and I'm feeling really bad for the guy.

The only EX he had was a Dragonite which was evolved from Dragonair, he was using a shelgon.

It's quite admirable he's in masters with that kind of team, I'd have given him a mercy win but in league if I lose to 2300s despite being 2600 I'll lose massive ratings.

Okay what the hell is going on?

I won a match but my rank went down by about 40. I also didn't get a timed booster either.

It made me fight Bug Bot right afterwards too so the game thought my win counted as a loss.

What's happening and how do I fix this? It's happened like three times in a row (hence my shitty rating).

Being a week into the game is still pretty exciting since I don't have to face the absolute most annoying stuff and only get paired with people who have way better figures than me like a third of the time. And even then sometimes you can play around the power gap between Pokemon, so no game is a surefire loss at this point.
Plus I think I'm getting better at the game. I've managed to dig myself out of awful situations a couple of times tonight, and managed to beat a person ranked like 130 points higher than me, then right afterwards got a forfeit win from a person 100 higher than me still. Not a direct measurement of player ability of course but the point is I'm having fun and no one can stop me yet.

X attack rayy has 150 gold, break energy, and 3 star fly. All of which are fantastic rolls against any deo, except for counter on Defense I guess.
Double chance makes the gold attack less useful but makes it way easier to get the one you want.
Just be offensive with rayy, unless your luck is so bad you're getting misses, you should be able to stop deos. There's other things that work on deo, but you have the best one.

probably the most OP Pokemon before gyms were Yveltal + Ho-oh + 3 Weavile. Yveltal has an enormous sized 100 attack (few Pokemon had 100+ attacks at the time) and two 2/3 star purple moves, one of which buffs dark Pokemon's attacks. It used to be one of the best attackers in the game. Weavile is a great attacker because of its ability. It's also got a decent sized gold attack. Ho-oh suicides itself to bring back dead Weavile. This team was extremely popular.

Yveltal + Greninja + whatever

Manaphy + water pokemon was also popular

I want to say Lugia was OP too. 70 power used to be pretty good. Its 3 star purple move was amazing especially since there weren't too many gold attackers that could also deal with the 70 power attack (besides Raikou). Now Zapdos just destroys it.

Congrats to everyone who will qualify for a gold trophy. I kept continuously getting within one win of breaking into it. At one point last night I was 1,204, even. Every time I need that one last victory to push me in I tank. My rating has now tilted down to about 2,000 and I just can't handle the heartbreak of coming so close each time and then getting paired with 5 deoxys teams when it matters most.

moltres being the biggest offender as anyone who played the flying gym would know

typhlosion is base 1mp
he has an ability where very mon in the pc gives him +1mp

the gym buffs 1 and 2mp mons base mp by 1

so he would be base 2mp with an ability that gives him up to 2 more mp

they would specifically have to make an exception for him NOT to get to 4mp

They should make ghost types immune to round :^)
