On attack, the difference in damage between 0IVs in attack and 15IVs is about 8%. That's about a fast attack or two. For defense, it's a difference of about 200ish CP.

Honestly it took me about 2 weeks of normal playing after 20 to get to 25 then about 3 weeks for every level after that. Crack a lucky egg before your 7th spin and pokemon. The pokemon go plus helps a lot, even though it catches less than half the mons, it helps a lot with eggs.

To eliminate the issue of players selfishly placing their highest CP pokemon in gyms to increase longevity, the system should be reworked to reward the best gym defenders. By definition, that should be the pokemon that on average causes the most damage to opposing attackers. When you join a gym, you should be placed in the lowest slot with a total of zero. As attackers take on the gym, the game would simply count the total damage inflicted by each pokemon and calculate the average per battle. High CP pokemon that aren't particularly threatening as defenders would quickly drop to the bottom of the gym.
To combat players from other teams intentionally aiding a pokemon via not attacking, the game should time out any player that hasn't attacked for X seconds (if it doesn't do that already, I'm not sure).

As early as level 1, dude. Pokemon don't spawn based on your level. Your level only affects their CP.

I sit on a Pokestop at work and "spin" with my Plus during the day. I don't get a LOT of Pinap Berries but I manage to get a few each day - to the point where I start using them with almost every catch for mass evolve fodder such as Pidgeys. (Don't ever throw them out!)

Hanke said that there will most likely be 3 major updates coming towards us this year.

Now gen2 came out pretty much 7 months after the game officially released, so we will most likely have the next gen come out later this year.

But there is a Pokémon called "Castform" in there which changes its appearance with the weather, e.g. snowy weather -> ice form, rainy weather -> rain form, sunny weather -> sun form and 'normal' weather / foggy etc -> normal form.

This sounds pretty damn exciting on its own but that Pokémon would pretty much need PoGo to implement the current weather if I am not mistaken and I think that this is very well possible with Google.

Okay so I'm going to casually play until it's warm again. Then I'll play this summer. I hope gen 3 comes out in june not cause i want worstgen but it would mean I'd have a CHANCE at getting based Torterra before it becomes freezing again this November. Thoughts?

Breeding could blow the game up, I think. Get the right pair of pokemon (2 snorlaxes, for example) and just poop out non-stop snorlaxes with good IVs.

Literally two of the first Pokemon I saw when I started this game was a Dodrio and a Dragonite. Couldn't find the Dragonite because was too much of a newfag to understand how spawn points worked but the Dodrio spawned right in front of my face.

The past day I've noticed a lot more escaping out of balls by low level Pokémon. Great curveball throws with better balls seem not to mean as much. Probably still RNG because I'm just one data point, and I'd never start a thread on this for that reason, but to me it just feels like something got tweaked this week.

Where I usually play, Chikorita is fairly common for a starter. In certain areas I can find Cyndaquil now and then. Totodile is completely absent, I haven't even caught one. Charmander was/is the rarest gen 1 starter here. Squirtle and its evolutions have drastically increased in our river/canal biome. Bulbasaur is pretty uncommon but by no means rare, and seems unchanged.

What if you had to have a special item like the ones for gen 2 evolves that you could only get by spinning stops, or either you had to complete a mission, or possibly you get to trade one Mon for every level. I know it's not a perfect solution but it would definitely cut down on the "black market" if u out actually had to work to trade. Just my .02 on the subject. What do you guys think?

Probably 3 or so hours of active play on week days. Maybe 7-8 on Friday through Sunday and holidays.

I travel maybe 10-15 miles a day.

I have three Blisseys but only one leveled up to 2900ish.

Snorlaxes are very common here and I have 4 above 2900.

3 3Kish Gyradoses.

6 Dragonites over 3K. There are some absolutely terrific spawns for water in my area. 2 were from 2 Dragonaires, which were 76% and 78% and level 28 and 29. Both evolved around 2900CP and saved me a TON of candy. Plus I have opened 9 Dratini since the recent egg changes.

I have never used any cheating stuff but I do spend on incubators and walk around 15km a day on average.

All that said I am looking at lv37+ accounts all over my town with 100% and maxed Dragonites, Snorlaxes, Blisseys, etc. Many of the accounts are the same name with just a few different numbers at the end of the name. Hell one account had the unavailable heracross just two days after the gen 2 release placed in a gym with a CP over 2700 just taunting me.
