So, outside of some of the movies and few episodes for nostalgia's sake, I haven't actually watched the anime is almost 10 years (I waned out of the anime about half-way through Hoenn). And I was considering re-watching it, but I'm curious - My original intent was to watch up to the end of the Orange Islands since that's only about 100 episodes, but then I thought about adding Johto into that too because I never watched that all the way through. But why stop at Johto?

So, I guess what I'm asking here is - Before I start, is it worth the slog of almost 1000 episodes to watch the entire series start to finish? Plus the movies and the spin-offs? And how long will it take before I'm sick of it?

All I really remember about Johto is the finale and the Celebi movie, but that around the time DP was airing I was reading Beckett's Pokemon magazine and one of the writers was re-watching the entire anime to review each episode and he said the second half of Johto almost made him stop the column entirely because it was that bland and full of filler. The DP anime has been out for over TEN YEARS now. Did you HONESTLY expect that NOBODY would have subbed a super popular anime completely in that time frame? Who knows? A common fan theory is that it was supposed to be a movie to wrap up the whole anime for good and that those plans were scrapped, but like I said, we don't have any official information to suggest that was actually the case.

I'm just fascinated by the behind the scenes production, how it lead to where we are now, and how secretive TPC are with it. Friendship is something that cannot be without fights. If you do not fight with your friend or love partner then it isn't worth it. If you part ways during the fight but then reconnect later it shows the strength of your bond. Ash and dawn did fight a lot but always went back to being together.
